Plato's closet count your F-ing days. Why did I bring in Good American jeans, Zara with the tags still on, nice gym clothes with the tags still on and Air Force ones but all they took is my SHEIN?! This is by far one the worst Plato's I have shopped at. The customer service is horrible, there were a ton of workers and not one greeted me as I came in and no asked was I finding everything okay. Please be attentive to your customers. I waited for 10mins while 3-4 girls behind the register were sorting clothes. 2 looked at me and didn't come up to me. So I go to the one in front of the door which is only for drop off. For her to only tell me that it's a different line in which I told the young lady I had already stood over there for 10mins. No apology or accountability. The lack of mannerism in this place is baffling. I should not be flagging you down to get checked out. I was patient enough to wait. Donate instead! I went here to sell some of my clothes to them in an attempt not to lose too much money. The clothes were not more than 6 months to a year old and were all designer. I was told they were not trendy and they only accept trendy things. I am in the fashion industry so i know these clothes were "trendy". I laughed at the girl and asked her what defines trendy. She got super upset with me and told me they don't have to answer my question. Some of the clothes still had original tags on them. I had the receipt to prove they were not stolen and where they came from. She said they do not accept stolen items after grasping at straws trying to avoid my trendy question. I just overbought during a shopping trip and my clothes sat in the closet so I was purging. I looked around the store and saw a bunch of clothes faded, old and Walmart type brands everywhere yet my actual designer stuff isn't trendy? Okay. This incident was not today. I just wanted to share my experience from my first, last and only visit. After venting to friends, a lot of them said they had the same experience. I ended up giving my clothes to a family friend who lost everything in a fire that night so it all worked out in the end. read more

Absolutely disgusting establishment, the workers are some of the worst people I have ever interacted with. Mean girls who not only were absolutely no help to me, but I watched them ridicule and laugh at another customer in the store after they asked for help. The floor was a mess. Clothes on the ground, items in the incorrect size spot, and dressing rooms that need a deep deep clean. Don't "donate" clothes here because they will resell some of the items or let workers just take them home. If I could give this place no stars at all I would. read more

Plato's Closet Alliance's Instagram hold policy is a joke. They almost never respond to customers wanting to hold items. There have been multiple times where I would comment to hold an item on a post they made, they don't respond almost all day, so I go to their store to pick it up, only for them to tell me that it's gone and sold. That is not fair since I asked to hold it first. They're probably lying saying that it sold when they're too lazy to get it. Don't even bother asking them to hold items for you because they do not care and will lie. Do not support this business that don't value their customers. read more

I like to bargain shop so I come here often. The staff is usually very nice and helpful and most of them recognize me because I'm in there so often, however the store has a new manager as of about three months ago and she is rude and doesn't have customer service like the others. She ROLLED HER EYES AT ME. Absolutely love this Plato's Closet! They are perfect for anyone looking to explore new styles or extend your existing taste in fashion while on a budget. You can get such great items for a great price! There is no telling what you might find because they're always getting new items in. Speaking of which, Plato's is a fabulous way to get some pocket cash for clothes that are cluttering up your wardrobe. You must know, they might not take as many items as you might think (based on the season, condition of the item, and what they think will sell) and their offer for your clothes is lower than some people think in order to keep business running. So I recommend selling your items online of you are looking to get what you paid for them. Otherwise, it's a great way to get those suffocating items off your shoulders and out of your closet! It's a great trade. The staff is sweet and fun to know if you are patient and kind. They deal with a lot of difficult customers but do their best to give you a great collection of items to shop from. I came here today with more clothes than I ever brought before. I usually make at least $15 bringing clothes here but today was a different story. I drove 30 minutes and waited and hour and a half because I brought nice clothes both for winter and summer and they are in great condition that I myself wasn't sure I wanted to give them all away. The girl tells me that there's a lot of winter stuff and I assumed she just meant she was only handing me back those but she handed me EVERYTHING, and she can't use the trendy excuse on me because I'm around her age but not to be one of those people but I had A LOT of nice stuff in there and I knew it. There are nice employees there but this employee didn't take not a single nice thing knowing I was waiting that long and with all honesty I sensed it's because she's condescending I will NEVER come here again and waste my time and gas. read more

Ive been going to this location for years, probably before these girls working in this place were even 10. I went in at 5:56 pm to return/exchange jeans that didn't fit from another plato's that didn't have their fitting rooms open due to COVID-19 and was greeted with one girl rolling her eyes at me, another staring at her phone at the register and another actually doing her job. I was told I couldn't exchange/return them since there from another store and they ended that "deal" today conveniently. Which is really funny because my roommate went in earlier to return jeans from the same store I went to and was allowed to return them. Surely, the employees forgot or maybe they were just lazy because they closed in an hour and didn't feel like doing a exchange/return that only takes 5 minutes. I would really appreciate a manager reaching out to me about this situation. read more

Oh boy. I wanted to leave a good review for this place because I always find something great here and it's clean and well organized but my experience today has completely changed my opinion. I put 2 purses on hold earlier this week and when I came in to purchase them today it turns out a new associate had sold them both.... seriously? Apparently the term "hold" means something different to them. I get everyone makes mistakes, but the worst part is they refused to do anything about it. No store credit, no discount, nothing. I usually will get *something* when I take clothes in to sell. About $20-$60 - which isn't bad. But, I can tell that they don't always look through everything I bring in. Today, a full bag of clothes were still in the order I placed them in and folded exactly how I had it. I don't take in very much to sell (about 2 bags), so I expect everything to be properly looked through. read more

Don't waste your time selling here - just donate to charity. I brought in a ton of designer labels that were barely worn once or twice. They handed everything back to me and said "pass" because they were "too loved." (Honestly, it looked like they didn't even go through my basket at all.) Based on things I have seen and bought there, I wasn't exactly bringing discarded leftovers. Anyway, if you're looking to make some money off your clothes, just donate to goodwill and get the tax write-off instead. Then head over elsewhere to spend your cash. read more

My all-time favorite clothing store!!!! I discovered this place about a year ago and it changed my life! I always used to think resale/consignment places were "gross", but after coming here my opinion completely changed. The clothes at Plato's are so cute, in good condition, and way cheaper than regular mall prices. For example, shirts I've bought are average about $7 each instead of $30 from American Eagle, etc. I bought some nice Toms shoes here the other day for $10 instead of the normal $50. It also helps that the employees are so sweet and helpful! I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about; I go here almost every weekend and am always treated well and find great buys!! Selling here tends to be hit or miss, but I think that's understandable as they have SO many people dropping clothes off, they can't buy everything. Overall I love Plato's Alliance and am so grateful I was told about this place!! 10/10 recommend for your next shopping spree!!!! read more

Wish I could give 0 stars cause who ever the "buyer" is has no taste at all. I brought bags load of spring new clothes that were ALL name brand. Gimmicks, billabong, free people, buckle black, day trip, bke, hollister, victoria secret) they passed on all of my clothes but as i was looking at their selection it was full of wal mart, smelly, faded regrets. I wonder why there looked like there was no business but now I know why. A little tip, y'all might want to hire someone who actually has taste in clothes and doesn't collect worn out off brand literal shit. I could of gone to goodwill and purchased better clothes. This platos closet is the absolute worst. I have tried to sell tons of name brand, in style items that they will not ever purchase. I brought up tons of guess, coach, and MK items that they did not care to purchase, but went ahead and bought my XL Victoria's Secret sweatpants from the 90's that are so old they have iron ons!! I bring my clothes up freshly washed and folded so that they look presentable and don't have any odd smells like the rest of the garbage clothes that they sell. They will trash through all of your clothes, not caring to hang them back up on the hangers you brought them in on, or refolding the 50 something tub full of items you brought in. You don't want my polo Ralph Lauren, or Nike stuff, my Levi's?? My Zara??? FINE, then don't advertise that you do and WASTE MY TIME. They didn't even purchase the brand new never worn 2014 Nikes for men in black and white. Not to mention, the little Mexican girl that works behind the counter is rude. They bought 4 shirts out of about 75, an orange and maroon Nike tank top 6 years old, a polo made out of sweater material but short sleeved with white stripes, a printed Christmas shirt, and a polo long sleeve button up with orange, purple, and green plaid. Didn't buy a single solid colored Polo with the tags still attached. Next time I go up to sell things, I won't bother washing it and I'll put it in a trash bag. Miss the store off 377, they had better customer service and sold semi-decent items. Can't wait until this place goes out of business, I'd rather have the stupid Sam moon luggage store. read more
