You want to go on a field trip, go to Mountaineer. There is no indoor seating. I would not be able to bring Grandma with her walker. She would not be able to navigate the narrow, cluttered aisles. It is an outing not to be missed.

When I say this place is unique you just have to visit. It's packed to the walls with inventory. I think they have more fishing gear than two Cabellas or Bass Pro shops combined. For sure the most selection of diverse fishing lures and equipment I have ever seen. My daughter suggested it when I said I wanted ice cream. It took me awhile just to decide to get our ice cream because I was busy looking at everything they to offer. There is so much inventory that you can't get down some isles without moving things out of the way. Now the Ice cream. They have probably fifty flavors. Okay maybe not quite that many but if you can't find what you want you don't want ice cream. Just go home. Lol. I wanted the grasshopper mint with chocolate but it must be so popular because they was out. So I settled for a double scoop of raspberry chocolate chunk and my daughter got a single scoop of play dough. Ice cream that is. Lol. And we got the pups a cup of vanilla. I mean what furry friend doesn't like a pup cup. It was really really good. I forgot to get a pic of my cone as my hands were kinda full. Did I mention you can order food to eat? Yep. They offer a menu of food. Great place and friendly staff. A must visit.

Lucky Duck Candy Company is a local business that recently opened and sells candies and ice creams…read more My family and I shopped here two times. Employees immediately greeted us and made friendly conversation. The candy section was stocked with many types of candies--chewy and hard, sour and sweet, nostalgic and modern, and more. The ice creams included several flavors from each Hershey's and Penn State Creamery. The menus listed many toppings (e.g., butterscotch, hot fudge, pineapple, marshmallow, Oreos, and gummy worms). The ice creams could be put inside cones or cups or made into sundaes, shakes, and floats. I also noticed Italian ice on the menu. My husband and I are graduates of Penn State, so I ate three flavors of the Penn State ice creams. My husband opted to buy Moon Pie from the candy section. Everything tasted very good. My four extended family members ate two ice-cream cones in the flavors of cookies 'n cream and tie dye and one Allegheny River sundae that contained vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, crushed Oreos, gummy worms, sprinkles, and a cherry. They also went on a shopping spree in the candy section and bought a bag full of various candies. They enjoyed their treats and had fun. One recommendation that I have is to offer a different Dubai chocolate bar. The ones that we bought did not compare to the Dubai chocolate that I previously purchased elsewhere.

This place is so cute! It has a LOT of fun candy varieties -- spicy pickle cotton candy,…read more"Sour-acha" liquid filled gumballs, Skittles flavored beverages, and more! There's also a great selection of hard-scoop ice cream, cones, toppings, sundaes, floats, ice cream sandwiches, etc. It's a small store, but you could spend a long time checking out the various types od candy. Maybe the best strategy is to get some ice cream to eat while you browse! The decor was fun and inviting, and the staff was excellent. I visited with a large group, and we were all served quickly, and had a terrific time. The prices are very reasonable, too. This is a fun destination, and there was plenty of street parking when we visited on a Sunday around noon.
