This place is a great destination for all kinds of bagels, bagel sandwiches, baked goods AND really, really good soup. My personal favorite so far has been the potato leek soup with bagel croutons. It was so good that I'd love to see it become a menu staple rather than just a special. As for the bagels themselves, the selection strikes a nice balance of savory and sweet, and the spreads and fillings follow suit. What I especially love is that the sandwiches go beyond just breakfast -- there are creative, lunch-style options that set them apart. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart.
