My wife and I both really enjoyed our meals. I had the steak salad, and my wife had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. For an appetizer, we ordered the loaded cowboy baked potato skins, along with two iced teas. Everything was delicious and we had no complaints about the food. The service, however, was definitely slow. After we were seated, it was about five minutes before anyone came over to greet us. By that point, we were ready to order, so we ordered our drinks, appetizer, and meals all at the same time. The iced teas came out within about five minutes, but our meals took 30+ minutes. When our food arrived, we realized we still hadn't received our appetizer. We mentioned it to our very nice waitress, who immediately apologized and went back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, she came out with the potato skins and apologized again. No big deal--we understood. While we were there, we overheard some of the other customers complaining about the slow service. We later talked with our waitress, and she explained that there were only two people covering the dining room and bar area. We were sitting in the dining room. It also sounded like management wasn't fully prepared for the additional crowd from Thunder on the Mountain. Overall, we had a great experience with the food, and considering this was their first lunch service during a grand-opening weekend with a large crowd, we understood the slower service. Our waitress was very friendly and did her best under the circumstances. We'll definitely be back for dinner and give them another try. It'll be interesting to compare the dinner service once they've had some time to get everything dialed in. Great food, friendly staff, and hopefully just some opening-weekend growing pains.
