A few of us were in town for business and we stopped in prior to dinner for wine and beer... They have a very nice venue here, great décor and decent list of wines and beer. Service was really friendly and prices are decent. We enjoyed a few items and then moved on, but we enjoyed the stay while we sat & sipped! They also offer small bites here. Would stop in when in the area!

Awesome space to enjoy a glass of wine and relax. We stopped in for a glass before a concert.

Cozy, comfortable, and a delicious wine selection! 5 walnut is a great place to come after work for delicious wine and snacks and sometimes a badass band. They usually always have a $5 wine special and those can't be beat! On busier days they'll have live music which is a treat if you can snag a window seat. Those are the best spots to feel the breeze and enjoy the music! Their charcuteries are also a great deal and everything we've tried is always yummy. If your get the chance to see the band lyric here, I would absolutely recommend!

We frequently walk by this wine bar and finally decided to meet friends there after work. They have a nice wine selection. The bar is bright and airy with large windows that open onto the sidewalk. Unfortunately, the daytime bartender was almost mute and not all at helpful as we selected our wines. Maybe he was having a bad day. The woman who came on after him actually smiled and was more talkative. We'll return again to listen to live music.

Stumbled on to this place near the end of the night after a full day. We heard the live music and saw people dancing on the sidewalk. Made our way in and got a glass of wine which was very good, the band playing and crowd was a blast! Wish we had gotten there sooner. Will for sure go back next time in Asheville.

This wine bar is so cozy and welcoming. The Chardonnay wine is superb along with the popcorn. The staff was so friendly as well. We'll definitely be back!

The service was good and they had great music! We had a great time dancing here to some Christmas tunes! The $5 red on special was not that great honestly but it was $5, so I guess you can't expect a ton for that price haha ! The Pinot Grigio $5 dollar special was much better! Me and my wife love a good wine bar, we love live music, and we love to dance together. On top of all that, the people here were very nice, and the staff served everything pretty quickly even though the bar was filled to the brim. I would highly recommend you give this place a try. If you are picky about what type of music you like I definitely recommend calling ahead of time to see what bands are playing that week, but honestly you can't go wrong here! On a side note, there really isn't much parking but you can find some metered parking close by. This place gets five stars for the vibe, the service, the great live music, the nice neighborhood people, the dancing and the overall experience!

    So good.

Wine bar I walked in and decided to try some good wine. Was not disappointed with the suggestion

I really liked this wine bar. You can grab wine by the glass or order a bottle. I did a glass of prosecco and a dessert wine and my husband did a glass of riesling and moscato. If you don't like wine, they have beer, cider and nonalcoholic options. The table and bar seats by the windows are very popular but we had no issues finding a small table for two. A visit to 5 Walnut Wine Bar is a must if you are in downtown Asheville.

I wish I could remember my server's name as he was kind and very knowledgeable. He was also managing the bar. He had the perfect wine recommendations. I don't give five stars because a better job needs to be done with charcuterie. Opening prepackaged meats and cheeses (in front of customers) and slapping them on a board is not typical. Still a great time and vibe.

I really had a nice visit here. The bartender is super friendly and talkative. She was knowledgeable about a lot in Asheville and gave many good suggestions. The bar was not crowded on a warm Saturday afternoon. It was so nice to enjoy a glass of wine in such peaceful atmosphere. The cheese crisps are also delicious for an afternoon snack! I recommend highly.

Me and my girlfriend ended up here while waiting for our dinner reservation. Bar staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We ended up with the Riesling and moscato. Super cute and cozy place. They also have window seats which are perfect for people watching.
