Finally stopped at this place - my aunt and uncle used to stop here all the time when they were truck drivers, taking advantage of the food and the semi parking. Up to over 83,000 silver dollars now! Wonder how long it will take to get to 100,000? A Cold Smoke scotch ale, and elk sliders with fries kept me occupied during my short visit to this bar. The elk wasn't too bad, it had that 'wild' flavor and was slightly dry, but it could have been much worse. The fries were good. Bartender was nice.

Can't actually recall how many times I've eaten here, going all the way back to the early 90s. It's always Montana-hearty. We usually stop for breakfast or lunch to/from the hot springs, and it's most definitely filling, filling, filling. I don't go gaga for the kitchy gift shop like the family does, but I'll always peruse a bit while they shop. Ninja Stars, velvet Elvis' and poop shaped coffee mugs just aren't my gig. The folks there are always friendly, and the bar pours a stiff one. I'm not a gambler, but for some reason I will throw a few quarters in one of their keno machines, win ten bucks, and cash out. Happens more often than not. Couldn't do it today, though, with the machines roped off. Oh well, I was grateful the diner was open for grubbin' fare...

5 stars because they have $79,000 in silver dollars on the wall $20000 more than the name. Worth stopping because they also have a really nice gift shop plus you might get lucky on the slots. Also nothing else around so stop and stretch your legs.

My uncle and I stopped here a long time ago when we were coming back from Wyoming. When I planned a motorhome trip with my dad to bring him to his MSU Alumni homecoming game, I wanted to take him here. In researching it, I found two things. 1. It wasn't getting good reviews and 2. It had free RV parking! So off we went. Driving a motorhome from Portland Oregon to Montana in October is a bit sketchy as the weather forecast kept changing on us but we made it to the $50,000. Low and behold, no one was using the free Rv park in October so we had our choice of any spot. Of course we picked one with power as those are limited and first come first serve. The RV park is anything but fancy, but just as it's name implies. The keyword being PARK. Anyway we were glad to have it! We pulled in, plugged in and off we went for dinner. Now, all the way from portland I kept hoping that our service at the $50,000 would be friendly and the food would be good. I was a bit nervous walking in as the place was pretty deserted as it is the off season, and I kept thinking that when the waitress got to our table, the only thing left to eat would be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with an attitude. However, I was pleasantly wrong.... Our server was super friendly and talkative and the menu was loaded with options! Dad was buying cause I did all the driving so I splurged on the Ribeye steak that came with baked potato, green beans and I chose the soup to go with: Cost $18 Steak was well seasoned and cooked to order. It was very tender as well. Baked potato cake with butter and sour Cream. Perfect! Green beans: Now, here is something to discuss. I really do like can green beans over fresh ones. I don't know why... probably because I was brought up On the canned ones so that was just fine. They were canned but the seasoned them with something that was really good so I was happy. I drank 2 cold beers as well and the server was very attentive throughout. Soup was really good! Anduele sausage and rice in a brown sauce of some sort. Very tasty! Dad had the fish sandwich and he loved it too. He said the French fries were the best he ever tasted! He's 84 so he knows what he's talking about! We didn't do the gift shop as our plan was to come back in the morning for breakfast and browse. However, the gas station and restaurant were closed when we got ready to go at 8:30. We were really disappointed as we wanted breakfast and to look around some more but wherever. It is the off season so maybe that's how they do things. Anyway, stop hear and enjoy. Leave your pre conceived notions at the door and just enjoy all this place has to offer. Don't bash them because your latte didn't taste like Starbucks or your Burger didn't taste like McDonalds. This place is a gem and I plan on stopping on our way back!

They actually have over 100,000 silver dollars now. If you average the price per coin at $50, the collection is worth over a half million
