Visited 501 from out of town for a spontaneous haircut and service was killer. A strange man followed me from my car into the salon, and my stylist Megan took the time (after I was her last appointment) to walk me back to my car safely. They refused to do a hair toning because I was 5 minutes late for my appointment. Well, 501 salon you need to move your location out of the midtown area, if you are not willing to provide few minutes buffer time for parkings. You are the most inconsiderate salon I have ever visited. read more

I couldn't praise Katie enough after my cut and color experience today. I have naturally curly hair and have had many bad hair cuts before because not everyone understands how to cut it but Katie was amazing. I explained when I made my appointment that I have anxiety about going to a salon for the first time but they quickly set me at ease. Katie asked me at length what I would like and did exactly what I wanted. They also offered a drink and a lovely little snack that one of the owners had made. Katie Collier is a genius with hair, but more than that she is kind and friendly. She's more than the person who makes my hair look and feel great, she is a great friend. And you'll find that all of the stylists are this way. They are professional, talented and friendly. Customer service is absolutely their greatest asset. Having been a very loyal customer to Cooper's at Uptown until very recently, I needed to find a salon where I could really trust anyone to do their work on my hair. I got exactly what I was asking for, plus a great environment and an excellent attitude on the first try! Other salons in town aren't as nice to new clientele. Meghan is fantastic! I am so sad that we're moving now that I've found her. She is a perfectionist and incredibly knowledgeable about hair color and care. I wanted to try balayage and she helped me grow out my highlights enough to do it (I can't stand roots but she kept my hair lightly highlighted so I could bear them growing out!). She also knows that I prefer being a cooler blonde, and she worked to get it the shade I wanted while keeping my hair healthy. I've tried to convince her that my next location needs a hair stylist like her, but sadly I believe she's pretty happy at 501. Thank you, Meghan, for being so awesome! read more

Obsessed! I recently moved to the area and the worst part of moving is finding someone to trust my mane with. Looked to Yelp and I am so glad I found Amy Jagade, beyond perfect. I always test the waters with a haircut first. Went in front desk is amazing, the salon is so stinking cute its like a pinterest over load in a good way, just so effortlessly (hopefully yelp spell checks?) stylish! Met Amy and I'm sure im the worst! I say things like i want texture but not too much texture but she totally got my vibe and i was so pleased. My hair looks great curly and straight! She passed the test, so I scheduled my color and had another amazing experience! I wanted a straberry blonde, again i want it red but not tooo dark or too blonde, highlights but not to chunky..(im sure i'm the worst!) but seriously she nailed it! Its exactly what I was wanting! So so happy that I found my stylist here in Columbus! I have seen a couple reviews say that they are over priced? but get your hair done in Atlanta, thats over priced! found the price to be extremely fair! read more
