It has been necessary for me to make sure that the puppy gets her exercise and we have been taking many walks. I have noticed that this park is less than a half mile away. Wow, pretty incredible park!…read more They've got a ton of pavilions and picnic tables for gatherings, a really fun splash pad, a paved three-quarter pathway around the park exterior, various sports field including volleyball/tennis/basketball/horseshoe, THREE fenced dog parks for big dogs and small dogs and both, new play structures, and acres of wetlands with a boardwalk path. Only feedback to make it better: 1. Currently they're doing construction on the sports field, so there's large empty dirt patches between areas of the park. 2. The boardwalks over the wetlands could use a map. I got a little lost!

What a beautiful city park with views of the surrounding area. I've always been impressed by the…read morecity parks in neighboring Tualatin and Wilsonville, but Sherwood has got it going on too. Located at the top of Sunset Boulevard, this park has a very well maintained baseball field, lacrosse/soccer field with artificial turf and electronic scoreboard, tennis and basketball courts and multiple play structures. The water feature is set up like a stream, rather than a spray ground, and really the entire park was very well designed to provide a little bit of everything for the community. As a venue for watching a game, I loved the gentle slope that provided plenty of seating for parents to either set up chairs or blankets on different levels. Even though it all looks very modern, the park has a nice amount of mature trees to provide shade and a large covered structure for parties and gatherings that is essential for events 10 months out of the year. They even had a concession stand running during our visit so you could buy food and have a picnic. I kind of hope we have more games out in Sherwood.

All fields have shaded, paved and ADA access. 4 top notch, All-turf fields. Each field has stadium lights and a score board. The restrooms are spacious and clean. Homeplate Cafe is FULLY stocked. Parking is ample, but at a tournament, you always need more. I'm not seeing anything else beyond baseball & soccer fields here. So, if you are looking for play structures, this is not the place.

A gem of a park!…read more I've always admired all the tall, barked beauties any time I've driven by. So today when we grabbed lunch to-go nearby I requested we bring it back to eat amongst the treeeeees. The park is fab...bocce ball courts and volleyball courts, a lovely play area, and picnic tables. Everything looked very well-maintained and clean. And, if you're like me and adore trees, it's just a great place to sit in your car, relax and take them all in while you eat. :)
