Came in after work with my father after work to decompress. I frequent par 3 course but they always seem to not have a proper driving range. Luckily I stumbled upon Sah-Ha-Lee's course. Not only do they have a great driving range, also available is a practice area with sand traps and great greens to putt on. I was helped and informed by Ted and Trey. They were both so accommodating and informative. I look forward to coming here often. read more

Disappointed to See Prices Rise--Was a Great Spot for Families I've really enjoyed coming to this par-3 course, especially because it was one of the few places I could bring my two kids, hit the range, and not break the bank. It used to be $13 for a large bucket of balls, which made it an affordable and welcoming option for families like mine. On our most recent visit, I noticed they've installed TrackMan at every station--which I get. It's a great piece of technology and adds a new dimension to the range experience. But along with that, they've raised the price to $16 a bucket. While that might not seem like a big jump to some, it feels like just one more place pricing out casual players and families. I was initially excited to see the TrackMan tech--it felt like an upgrade. But with the price increase, it's now in line with what you'd expect at much higher-end facilities. That's disappointing, especially considering the course conditions. I've played a few par-3 courses, and I'll be honest: I haven't come across one that's in truly good shape. This one is no exception. What hurts most is that this was one of the last places I thought still cared about being an affordable option for the community. I've wanted to share the game with my kids because it's given me so much--discipline, focus, and joy. But with the way prices are climbing, especially when times are already tough financially, I'm not sure we can keep golf in our lives this year. I understand the business side of things, but it's just frustrating to see places like this move away from accessibility. Not every family can afford $16 buckets and rising fees. I wish there were more commitment to keeping golf open to everyone, not just those who can pay premium prices. read more

This is a golf course! We hit balls at the range all the time. Due to Covid you buy your bucket of balls. Usually they have an older gentleman to let you purchase balls, clubs and snacks but due to Covid your on your own- you can visit the shop at the start! Staff there. It's always clean & nice! The course was amazing despite it having rained for a few days including during the entirety of the round, but unfortunately the pro staffer Eric was very unpleasant to work with as they repeatedly dismissed me having a youth on course pass and told me it had been expired since 2023 despite me having played Heron Lakes last week using the pass. It was not until I had to ask him to double check not once but twice for the correct account at which he found the pass from this year. I don't know if this is because the YOC format is difficult to work with or if he was new, but regardless he made it seem like I was wrong despite me having told him I had used the pass many times since 2023. Overall a fantastic course but the staff has been hard to work with and whether it is a difficult online Youth on Course interface or new workers, it should not take more than 15 minutes to walk on during a rainy weekday, and the fact they tried to tell me I didn't have a pass when I had used it the entire year put a damper on the round. read more

Lots of beginners here so tee times every 10 minutes seems unreasonable. Two weeks in a row start delayed by 15 minutes. It seems twosomes are not told they are to be paired with others and one tee times becomes two. 10 minutes per hole is ideal but too many don't seem to be mindful of pace of play. I don't recommend playing of Fridays or the weekend. read more

The view is great and there is no better place in Portland to work on your short game. The Northwest Golf Academy at the course is a fab place where I have a great experience every time. I walk away after my lesson relieved I actually was taught something. The instructors truly know what they are doing but also you can see and feel their love of teaching. This is a review for the miniature golf course. I was pretty happy with this place! There was 1x 18 hole mini golf course at this location. There were only a few small things keeping it from being a 5 star course. Specifically, there were pine needles (but not too many) that could have been cleared off of the course greens. Additionally, each hole looked as though the actual hole you are putting to was moved at some point. Some were done better than others; one of them literally had 2 holes (the obvious correct one with the flag, and one where the green covering was missing). In most of them, you could see a mound around where the old hole was in addition to its old outline, and it just made the green less smooth. Also, in one section of the course, there were a lot of bugs, but they were trying to remedy the situation with bug catchers on the trees. On the positive side of things, the holes were unique (not in a crazy-windmill / land bridge over water sense). Most of them had openings on the side of the greens (instead of being completely walled in), but the non-green area was a rougher astro-turf that caught the ball, and you were able to "play the ball where it lies." At each green, there was a custom-made laser-etched rock marker that specified the hole #, # of feet, and par. I liked this unique custom touch. This information was also located on the score card, which was useful due to the fact that some of the rocks were a bit worn and the writing was light and hard to see. Each hole had a removable flag / cup so you didn't have to bend down to pull the ball out of the hole. Prices at $5/adult were reasonable. There were a few trash bins located throughout the area, but there wasn't anything to write on for score-keeping. There weren't any water features, which I think is a good choice in the Portland area as they can't be kept in water year-round. read more

There's a reason why this golf course is failing as a business. Negative owners create a negative atmosphere. Negative atmospheres don't profit well... Pay attention to how they treat you. Especially at night if you're there hitting range balls an hour before closing. If you're the only one there, they'll be sure to push you out by turning the lights off early. If not that, they'll give you rude looks and say they're closing soon. I witnessed both of those actions tonight. Definitely not the first time either. I calmly asked the owner of the course closing why he turned the lights off a half hour early (as I couldn't see the ball hardly at all). He gave a ridiculous answer that I would somehow see it better without them. Clearly made up to hide his true motive. There's no logical answer why that would ever be true! I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but his answer was just ridiculous. I just couldn't let it go. Yes, the whole conversation was actually recorded because given his personality and negative persona, I knew nothing good would come of me questioning his actions. I told him that definitely wasn't the case as I could barely see any of them in the air after swinging. Never did he apologize for his actions. He then made more excuses and instead got upset with me for questioning him (all expected of course). This is one of the owners I'm talking about. Not an employee. It was a very unfortunate experience. You would think they value their customers during these times. Especially customers like me who have been there a few times per week during the Spring and Summer months for the past 7 years or so. read more

Just had our 50th Class reunion at the Pavilion at Sah Hah Lee golf course. Could not have been more happy with the evening. I was a professional caterer for 40 years and have been to many venues in that time and of course more critical than most. The owner who helped us plan our event was knowledgeable and very helpful as we navigated our way through Covid and how that could affect our evening. Her expertise in the planning made everything easy. The evening was even better than expected. They have a wonderful sound system that we used and their own caterer. I would tell everyone to trust them with your event. Lovely setting and job well done! read more

I tell all my friends and patients about this little course. It is 18 holes of pure fun and the best "short game" practice you will see. This is a great place to take your kids, your friends, or a group. The golf course is a par 3, but is a great par 3. You go through alot of irons in your bag. Don Otto, the head pro, has amazing deals on golf lessons, and he is one of the best in the area. It is also a great place to practice. Great driving range, putting greens, sand bunker and chipping greens. If you have a yungin' just starting out, take them here. Only bad thing is the guy who works at night, who thinks he is a gangster, couldn't care less. But everyone else there is great! read more

Ok, since my last review I indicated that I never have played on the course and that the mats were hard as dirt. This place deserves 4 stars! They have changed the mats to more of a softer turf. Which helps when your trying to make "diviots" on a mat. I finally had the chance to play on the course with my fiancee. First time we played the front nine. The course is very well maintained. The only problem with this course is that it's crowded, thats what happens when a course is small. So here are some quick hits about this course: -If your a driver dominated golfer than you'll likely not like this course. -If your iron play sucks, this course will help you try to improve your short game -If you hate putting from all different angles and hills, than you'll like this course -Expect somebody, or even yourself yell "FORE" more than once in a round -The river is nice, but it's packed full of bugs. I saw two bugs mating on my 3 wood. On a good day you can finish 9 within an hour, but on weekends, you'll likely have to wait for that awful foursome that's hold three other groups back. As for lessons, Nick has done a fabulous job with my fiancee. Her game has been smoothed out in 5 lessons. Since she started lessons she was able to take 13 strokes off her game and is consistantly hitting it solid. I'm afraid that she might be better than me! Its a nice course for beginners. read more

For a Par 3 course, this is as good as it gets in Portland I think. I use the driving range mostly, and there's always plenty of spots under the cover when it's raining or out in the open. The range balls are pretty affordable to compared to other driving ranges. Plus, get a punch card and you can eventually get either a free round or a free bucket. As for the course, it's kept up pretty well. The greens and "fairways" are always nice and it's a real fun course to play to work on your irons. The staff is always friendly as well. Pretty solid par 3 course. We've played here a ton of times and it never gets old. I would say the front nine is better then the back nine, if you don't have enough time for the entire course. A few minor things that they could work on. Sometimes they allow people to play kick ball while others are out golfing. They should have set times for when kick ball is allowed. Beverage cart only comes around once or so while your on the course. There's a few regulars who play here who take their sweet time and don't know to let faster players play through. We literally had a guy picking up rocks on the fourth hole for fifteen minutes. We called up to the clubhouse and they did send someone down to talk to the guy. Outside of those complaints its always been a blast. read more

We had a great time at this golf course. My friend and his 9 year old son came from out of town and we were welcomed by the friendly staff. We are just duffers out to have nice time and we were made to feel very welcome and were set up with rental clubs that were in great shape. The course itself is one of the prettier par 3 courses I have been on. It's very well maintained and is challenging but not ridiculously so. You will use more than your pitching wedge on this course. Bottom line is that the staff was great and the course was a lot of fun to play. read more

Awful experience. Owners customer service skills are deficient. Expect very slow play on nice days due to managements overbooking, and do NOT expect them to reasonably accommodate for such. Well worth it to golf at nearby Mt.View, Eagle Creek, Glendoveer, Eastmoreland, or Lake Oswego where the courses are just as nice if not nicer, however the staff there actually grasps the concept of customer service. read more

This is my favorite par 3 course around Portland. They maintain the course very well and the course has some really wonderful scenic views, you can see the river from a few holes and it guaranteed to see some fabulous wildlife. I wouldn't say this course is to challenging, but definitely a good time and excellent course to practice your short game. I've never taken lessons here, but have had a few friends girlfriends and wives that have and have heard they are very accommodating and professional. read more

Actually very impressed with this course. It has nice variety, with a hole as long as 185. So it's not your typical short par 3. The greens (played in Ian and Feb) were in excellent shape. I have organized many tournaments over the past 16yrs and this course was great to work with. Tracy offered "out of the box" thinking which I appreciated. The day of the event ran smoothly and the additional staff was great to work with. We had the pulled pork for dinner and it was so delicious! I would have another event here hands down. read more

We recently held an awards dinner event for 28 business colleagues at the Sah-Hah-Lee banquet pavilion. Tracy and her team made everything flow smoothly and easily from the very beginning when we were just organizing the event to the end. The menu options are really good and everyone really enjoyed the entries and side dishes we selected. We received several compliments from our guests on the quality of the food and how good everything tasted. Although the weather was a little wet and rainy that evening, many of the guests went outside and enjoyed using the putting green and putt putt golf course. One of the golf course employees quickly grabbed a leaf blower and cleaned-up the greens for us. The mini golf was a fun way to relax and mingle with folks. As the dinner concluded in the late evening hours one of the best things was we never felt pressured to pack-up and leave the pavilion which I greatly appreciated. There were several people that still wanted to relax and visit. I mentioned to Tracy that we will certainly be back for future dinner events. I highly recommend the Sah-Hah-Lee banquet facility.
