Just booked for a junk pickup to declutter my home and spoke to Rebecca. She was great! Kind, informative, patient with all my questions and best part was she was able to provide an approximate price quote on the phone based on us approximating the weight of my stuff for hauling. Way better and more fair pricing than having two guys show up and eyeball the size of the haul and then charge you based on their visuals rather than weight. Why does that matter? Because I have bags of clothes, some broken appliances and items that take up a lot of space but don't weigh much. The other places charge you based on how big the pile looks and how much space it takes, rather than weight. So glad I read the reviews here first before deciding who to call! Very pleased with 505. Crew was very friendly and they arrived towards the beginning of to quoted time frame. All I had to do was point to what needed to go and they took it. The weight system worked out good for me because I had a lot of bulky items which took up about 1/3 if the truck but only weighed 500 pounds. With the weight system you don't have to worry about how things are loaded (i.e. voids). Would definitely recommend and will use again. read more

Today was the second time we've used 505-JUNK and we are super-impressed with this amazing company. We made the booking a few days ago to have final junk and old furniture removed from my parent's condo. The fellows arrived exactly when they said they would, preceded with a telephone call from Scott to confirm they were on their way. I truly appreciated the communication. The unexpected occurred just before the men arrived. There was a power failure in my parent's condo, so we were without lights and elevator service. As the suite is on the 3rd floor, we fully expected to have to re-book. We were so impressed when Scott arrived and promptly advised that they would indeed fulfill their agreement. And so these 2 wonderful men carried the sofa-bed, table, chairs and bed down three flights of stairs to their truck. To say we were impressed does not do them justice. Their pricing is extremely reasonable, and I had done a lot of research on other junk removal companies. These fellows were very respectful, professional and have a great commitment to various charities and recycling and to their customers. I happened on a Social Shopper deal for 505 Junk just in time to need this kind of service for the first time. I got two as I've been storing some stuff in a friend's garage for two years and was feeling guilty it was in the way, and another for myself as I was redecorating and needed an old couch and tv stand disposed of. Every interaction with this company was a pleasure! Maria in the booking office was very friendly and very efficient at setting up the pick up dates and times, and explaining how the service worked. I put my booking requests in through their online system, around 1030 pm and both times she phoned me to confirm by 930 the very next morning. Then a confirmation email followed. Also a phone call from the guys when they were half an hour away. Excellent communication at every step. Josh and Troy on the truck were friendly yet professional and very quick at loading up the truck. On the second job, they were running early so politely called to ask if they could come early (like 4 hours early!). Of course you can! Saved me sitting around all afternoon and coincided perfectly with the new couch's delivery 15 minutes later :) Excellent service! I did a lot of research prior and found their "pay by weight" system to be unique in the industry but so much more fair and reasonably priced than the other guys who charge by volume. I booked this service just the day before and they even called to say they were ahead of schedule and could come earlier. It worked out perfectly. This is the first time using a junk removal company and they were friendly and polite right from the start. I booked with Rebecca over the phone and Miguel and Malcolm were the 2 guys that came to get rid of my old couch. They even asked if it was ok to walk into my apartment with their boots. That's the consideration I like! I just wish I had more junk to make it worth the price but I understand it's expensive to get rid of all this junk. So I'm pretty happy with it!! Professional, reasonable prices, no hidden fees, punctual, efficient. These guys charged literally half of what some of the other junk company quotes were. Up front pricing that they stuck to. Charge by the weight unlike most other companies who charge by the amount of space used in the truck, which is impossible to accurately estimate. The price was approximately a third more than if we took that same volume of weight to the dump ourselves. Saved us multiple trips to the dump and back breaking labor, all for about 100$s more for 980lbs. No brainer, these guys rule. read more

My family and I did a long overdue spring cleaning last week and I quickly discovered dumpster bins were very expensive. To the credit of one of the dumpster removal companies suggesting that I go with a junk removal truck instead, I found 505 JUNK. Thank you to that dumpster bin guy! Charlie and Josh showed up on time, they were friendly, kind and polite. They worked well with us to remove the items we wanted gone. I was delighted by my experience with 505 JUNK! I needed some old couches, a chair and ottoman removed. Th itemsy were long past donation to Salvation Army, but I was informed by the fellows who arrived, that even so, these items would be taken apart and their various parts recycled, when possible. This pleased me to no end. In addition, 505 JUNK is very professional operation. They have presentable and businesslike trucks, the personal are efficient, polite and professional, and the rates are the best I've seen. All-in-all, a great "package". Not only was their website clear on how the cost was calculated, they gave me rough quote based on the items I told them over the phone. They were able to pencil me in couple of days later and two guys came and helped removed all the left over construction wood and hauled all the junk from the garage in a flash.
