I recently went out and got floors installed by 50floors. While initally I wanst to happy with the front office. I expected to get my floora installed with-in a week and was told I would be hearing from them by the end of the week. Little did I know this was just to schedule an installer, which took another two weeks. We bearly made it in time for our house showing. So here is their saving grace. The morning of i stall Hicham benrbia and his co-worker showed up and completely nailed the install job. Two complete professionals that did a very great job in bith customer care and satisfaction. Worst ever! Took us for everything we had. Tore up our walls and our trim. Never came back. Won't answer the phone. Totally ripped us off. Charged us over $7,000. And that was at 60% off and free installation. The installers 2 only, couldn't speak English. I had to help them. My quarter round which should be shoe mold is ugly and doesn't even match at all but I can't remove it because the floor is cut too crooked and too far from the wall. Just had this done in 2026 and a box was left here with the date made of 2012. Already 14 years old before installed. I've called 10 times. Emailed and text. No response back. If I could give 0 stars I would. I spent over $10k getting my floors done. I was first under the impression that I would be getting the lock in vinyl plank. When the contractors arrived and began working I saw that they were using a glue down vinyl. When calling the manager to try to get clarification on the flooring I was met with a bad attitude as if I were bothering him. Nevertheless I allowed them to use the glue down because they already removed all the carpet and tile. I was sold on the fact that this flooring had a lifetime warranty for scratches and water. The flooring was supposed to be waterproof. Less than 90days after completion I had a water pipe leak in my home and the flooring started coming up. When contacting Jane to enforce the warranty I was met with nothing but excuses about why the warranty didn't apply to me and with another warranty that I never received or knew about. She also could provide any proof that I've even seen this new warranty. And told me that the warranty advertised on their site didn't apply to me. All I requested was to have a few spaces repaired, not the whole house. I even asked if they could give me a couple boxes so that my contractor could make the repairs. All I need is 4-5 boxes. Disappointed - Do your research and check reviews! Had a new enclosed sunroom installed. The floor was concrete and wanted to cover it with LVT. Was told a skim coat needed to be put down to fill the seam and even out the floor. Talked into the molding color to be the same as the floor tile. Paid half up front. The day of installation was upon us and two young guys claiming minimum knowledge of the english language arrived at the door. They had asked for payment upfront. I immediately told them after they were done. They put plastic down and started to install a floating floor. Asked about the skim coat and was told, no skim coat. They proceeded while I called Mike (Owner/salesguy) who explained the installers are the experts and they have the experience and knowledge to do what needs to be done. I thought okay. Maybe on top of the tiles to adhere the skim coat perhaps. An hour later they were done and no skim coat. The molding was an oak color that didn't match. They asked for payment and told them no, the molding is wrong. I texted Mike and told him how I felt and that the job isn't right, he texted me back, "We'll make this right". The workers left and returned 10 minutes later for me to sign the paperwork. When asked what was being signed, he said that the job is done, I asked is it, and was answered, yes. (Later, while texting with Mike he said the crew told him they put the skim coat under the plastic-which is a lie, since I poked my finger through the cheap plastic lining and specifically asked to fill the cement seam) and handed me the ipad to initial and signed it with the thought of Mike's text, "We'll make it right." That evening I received emails and texts for final payment. The final text threatening to send it to a collection agency. I did pay the balance and never heard from them again. The floor is uneven (due to no skim coat being applied) and incorrect molding color/stain (Ref Picture: Molding was supposed to be floor color and you can see the slope due to uneven work). There are multiple companies that are of better quality, have better customer service, and have respect for people. Pass this company up in Virginia! Never heard a peep from Mike again. Poor experience. Recommendation for folks looking at this company would be to ensure you learn all the "industry standards" for any flooring being installed. These will not be communicated by the company, and they will willing install product in a area where it will not hold up. When the product later fails they will refuse to act in good faith and make repairs. read more

The Sales Rep was very enthusiastic and appeared to be detail oriented, however, key details were left out. I paid for all hardwood floors to be installed throughout my entire home. The flooring installers did not take care of the first step since there is a banister attached, this was never discussed. Why would I get flooring installed throughout my home and not want the very first step to match???? A dip in the plywood was discovered when the carpet was removed in one of the bedrooms. Guess what, that's something else they don't do. I had to engage a totally different handyman on my own to level out the plywood in order for them to finish the job. The baseboards have been reattached and look a complete mess. I expected some painting or touch up to be done afterwards but they look really bad. This is just simply a third party contracting out the most basic service of laying floor and no where near an end to end solution. Especially for the price, BUYER BEWARE, don't fall for the so called discounts. Please do your research and find a full service floor installation company to take of your needs. read more

I am very disappointed with the service of 50 floor of Newport News! I am trying to understand why this Company 50 Floor will not return my deposit ? I have tried to call & email the company & the Salesman repeatedly since December to no avail! I was informed in January by the Manager that the Salesman would give me a call to set up an appointment! He has never called or answered his phone! I would never place this horrible carpet they delivered to me in my home! It was absoloutely, not the carpet I ordered!! Mr. Pederson, did not have a swatch to leave, so I took a picture of the swatch he had that I wanted! He assured me that he had it in stock! Evidently he did not! I believe he sold me a piece of carpet that they no longer had in stock! I was told repeatedly that the carpet was on backlog for months! I finally told the Manager,Mr. Logan that I wanted my deposit back after months of waiting for delivery! The next day Mr. Logan called to inform me that the carpet was finally in for delivery! I was very happy to here that!, only to realize it was the wrong carpet color!! I did not order this carpet they delivered! I immediately called and informed the Manager Mr. Logan! He informed me that he would have the Salesman, Mr. Ed Pederson, to call me! He has yet to call me back! I received a call back from another Manager that stated he would ask Mr. Pederson to call me to set up an appointmen! Mr. Pederson, never called! I am very upset that I can't get my deposit back! I never received the carpet that I ordered!! This is the worse company I have ever done business with ever! Terrible service!!! Someone needs to settle this situation!! **update they sent out the install manager to check out the seams. They ordered new carpet for a few rooms. They said they would come up with a plan and I had to continue to follow up with them to get the plan. Long story short they ended up replacing the majority of the carpet and the seams do look much better. The customer service in Newport News can be subpar. They installed carpet, sales rep said there would not be any seems and to call a week or so after install and they would fix it. I called they came out they did what they could but every doorway seem looks like crap. I have called 50 floor to let them know it still isn't correct. I have not received any follow up or contact from them after the crew came out. I'm very displeased. read more

They use cheap labor that scratches the floors and does a lousy job of installing. Comes back 3 times to fix it and still dosn't get it right. I'm paying for something that is coming apart at the seams. I live in Norfolk and had two bathrooms, two rooms, hallway and stairs done. Overall, the quality of the products was fine and the people I worked with were very nice. I believe they were not as attentive to the details as they should be -for example, the calking around the bathtub where new linoleum was placed was very poorly done. I notified the company, when the called to see if I was satisfied and let them know about my concerns. They indicated someone would get in touch with me to fix the problem. I have not heard from anyone since and now I will need to do the work myself as I do not want any water damage to get in to those areas. read more

I had the carpet and old hardwood removed for new luxury vinyl flooring. My son has asthma and I have terrible allergies. I was concerned about the dust and like all good sales people, I was promised the installers would take care. Just to be on the safe side, I moved all the furniture out of the rooms they worked on and placed several things in the garage. They didn't cover anything, put up two pieces of plastic in the doorways which fell down, and did all the sawing in the garage. The mess was unreal and the installers had no clean up equipment (shop vac, broom, mop). They used my broom and I purchased a shop vac. I contacted the "corporate" office and was told I'd be reimbursed for the shop vac. That was two months and multiple phone calls ago. I can't tell you all the clothes and furniture I had to get rid of. I was extremely disappointed and am still cleaning up. Maybe they were a good company but that's long gone! read more

Within 3 weeks of closing on my new home, I have amazing new floors. What was in my home was old and dark, and what's in now is light and airy. The pricing was very competitive, and I appreciated the consultant coming to my home to go over the different products with me and explain each one so that I would understand what I was buying. The product only took a few days to come in and I had a phone call to schedule the install. Luckily for me they work on Saturday, and the crew showed up bright and early. So would I recommend this company for an LVT install on an existing floor? No. Carpet replacement, yes. The issue with this company is there is zero quality assurance and its left up to the customer to keep the installer honest. Our carpet install on the stairs was fine. The LVT laying process was fine. However the clean up and finishes were just lacking. We had to go back and fourth regarding the washer and dryer install because it wasent done correctly. I ended up fixing the issues myself due to the lack of experiance from the installers. While the company did try and make the issues right this all could have been avoided with quality inspection when the installers were done. 50 floors did respond quickly to resolve the issues after a little hounding on my part, but it was clearly communicated we wanted a perfect install with zero clean up on out part. The sales team needs better communication on expectations vs the premium price you pay with this company. I could have gone with a cheaper company "yes I have quotes" with the expectation it wouldent be perfect. Hard line issue is that the installers just want to hurry up and get it done and on to the next job vs reasonable perfection. read more

We had luxury vinyl installed over our existing hardwood. Thomas, our sales rep was amazing and did a great job of explaining everything from the products to the process. While 50 Floor was higher than any other quotes, I thought their customer service would outweigh it. After ordering, install was scheduled quicker than anticipated and install went quick and smooth. However, I now have a gap where two seams meet. I've tried contacting the office multiple times only to leave a message with no one calling me back. I reached out to Thomas who had someone call me back but now not getting any returned calls or answers regarding the repair. Definitely unimpressed with their customer service - just a call back would be appreciated at this point. I would not recommend them at this rate. I have lvt flooring installed on November 28, 2022. The crew came, moved furniture and did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves and completed the job a day ahead of time as I was told it was a two day job. Salesman Ed was the best he provided many samples of flooring .He is a very good salesperson. If you are deciding whether or not to get flooring I would recommend you talk with Ed. Like Tabitha's experience, my salesman claimed the company does not use subcontractors. He claimed using employees contributed to higher prices and being able to stand behind the installation quality. I do like in-home sales consultations to be able to see how products will look with walls, cabinets, and furniture. I do not like negotiating prices. The price of the initial offer was ridiculous. I was not expecting big box store pricing as I was told installers were employees and the quality of their products is superior. 50 Floor does have a better selection of LVT that appears to be better than what HD sells. Installation went alright. I did not receive an appointment reminder the day prior or the morning of the installation date between 7:30 and 9:30 as stated in an email. An installer team member called as he looked for a parking spot at my complex. The process was completely different than how the salesman explained it. I was expecting vinyl and carpet to be installed on separate days to ease moving furniture and household items around. The installers were able to move everything around to complete the project in one day. Initially the installation team was comprised of two guys wearing 50 Floor shirts and 4 other guys wearing regular t-shirts without any company logo on it. During the removal of the old carpet, the 50 Floor employees left and didn't come back until installation was complete. Only one of the presumed subcontractors could speak English; he is the one who had me complete sales order and installation paperwork. The lack of company identification of the workers causes me to wonder if they were hired from a day labor organization. They all worked very hard and appeared to install the products well. I am concerned the installers did not follow OSHA requirements in wearing hand, hearing, and eye protection while using a saw and pneumatic tools. Overall, I am pleased with the installation and flooring thus far (it's only been a few days). I did not notice a couple things during the final walk through. I am scheduling a follow up appointment to correct a couple very minor issues of removing shoe molding around bathroom sinks and cutting down the bolt for a toilet. 50 Floor charges a premium price for its products, installation, and old product removal. I don't think they can justify their initial prices of being twice as much as Home Depot by using subcontractors. Be prepared to turn down their initial offer to get a more reasonable price. read more

Negotiated a deal with 50 Floor for 3 rooms of carpet. The day comes for the installers to come and was given a timeframe of 10am-12pm. They show up at 130PM. Immediately I can sense something is wrong and low and behold they didn't bring enough carpet. I guess the warehouse cut the carpet 20ft to short, even though they had all the measurements. Verified the measurements were correct and they were. Called to find out a solution and we went with installing two rooms with the other room to be installed the next day. Even though the person on phone verified there was enough carpet at the warehouse to complete the job but refused to get someone to bring more carpet to us. This making me take 2 full days off work. The reward for the company being late by an hour and half, not having enough carpet to do the install in one day, and me having to take two days off work. A meager $50 off. Awesome to know my 16 hours of time and their mess up is only worth $50. I will not recommend to anybody. They had a month to get it right and they couldn't even do that. I was asked to pull the above review down and offered $250 in return, fair enough, I pulled the review down, they tried to make it right. 50 floors changed the way we were going to receive the $250 refund. Instead, they want us to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to get the $250 refund. I guess this is how their reviews are so high, they bribe their bad clients, waits almost a week then when you question where the refund is they send a non-disclosure agreement so nothing bad can be said about them. Let it be known they have terrible business practices. They don't follow up with their clients, you must follow up with them. Ultimately, we are highly dissatisfied. Asking to sign a non-disclosure is a complete smack in the face and judging my character like that, as a customer that did everything right in the face of a company that did so many things wrong. We scheduled a home visit to discuss replacing the carpet in our living and dining rooms, the stairs and hallway. A salesman came and we were able to agree on the carpet and a couple of day later were scheduled for installation. The installers were very knowledgeable and had an excellent work ethic.
