For months I contacted people about getting new flooring, even had guys come by and take measurements but for whatever reason they were un-responsible with an estimate much less doing the work. And after bad experiences with the "big box" stores on major appliance and home related purchases, I wasn't giving them any more money. Of all things, my plumbing contractor recommending Dominion Floor Covering after I even complained to them about bad service, and I have to say I what a great recommendation. After my initial inquiry, Nick came by the next day, took the measurements and with 24 hours I had an estimate. After I finalized my material color selection I had the work scheduled. The day of the work the crew arrived one half hour EARLY (when does ANY contractor show up early?). The three man crew led by Steve with Ronnie and Keith worked with great diligence, and were done by 4pm. The overall finish of my new flooring is excellent, the amount of custom cutting for molding and transitions due to the layout of my home was first class, the place was cleaned up with no debris, the whole thing was just great. In all my years as a home owner, I've never seen anything like. I have additional flooring work to complete, and no doubt I'm having Dominion come back to do it. Highly recommend. read more

I had three different estimates from flooring companies for wall-to-wall carpet in our home office, but I ended up choosing Dominion. While there were only minor differences in the pricing between the stores, what won me over was Dominion's friendliness, responsiveness, professionalism. Had extra thick vinyl floor covering installed in my sunroom. Their installers were quick and professional. The finished job still looks fantastic even though it was done over a year ago, and the extra cushion under foot is still amazing. Before selecting my flooring from Dominion I did a lot of shopping around. I found Dominion to have the best customer service and overall all value for products. Please understand that this Yelp review is coming from a first-time homeowner and much to my dismay, my idiot self. I originally came to Dominion floor to specifically look for some trim to match some left over flooring that the previous owner of my home had left for me. So I ordered it. However the idiot in me decided not to double and triple check to see whether the ordered trim matches the flooring that I have. So unfortunately I have to call back to try to return the trim that didn't match. Not only did Dominion flooring not get upset but they directly called the manufacturer to see if they could order the specific color trim. An associate, possibly the owner told me his honest opinion stating that he personally would find another manufacturer with trim that would be very similar in color to what I have. Both he and my original sales representative scoured the showroom looking for trim that would match as close as possible to my original flooring. I have not seen this level of "get er done," even with having over 10 years of retail experience. I am not only shocked by the professionalism of dominion floors but also the understanding that these two associates had for a first-time home buyer and idiot. What pickles my mind is that not only is my new trim CHEAPER than the original order trim (minus the restocking fee) but I may have just saved myself from the wrath of THE BOSS. I have since ordered the perfect trim and am patiently awaiting the word of when to pick it up. This establishment has my business. read more

After reviewing many companies to include the big box stores, we decided to hire Dominion Flooring to purchase and install our new flooring. Our 1st visit to the store we met Johnny Campbell, Manager who spent all the time we needed and answered all our questions. He even made some suggestions on the type of flooring that would fit into our budget. Several weeks later, after seeing other stores, we went back to Dominion Flooring, but this time were greeted and serviced by Dominic, the Founder. He spent about 1/2 hr. with us and again made suggestions of flooring. We scheduled a measurement visit and took several samples home. Dominic himself came out and took measurements, answering all questions and discussed the different types of flooring. We decided on Armstrong Luxurious Vinyl Plank Tropical Oak, because of its durability and being waterproof; as we also installed in the kitchen. The installers called beforehand and showed up on time. I was totally impressed with Steve and Ronnie, they came to work; originally scheduled 3 days, they managed to finish in 2 days. They were very careful with our furniture and really cleaned up afterwards. You could not ask for anyone more professional, courteous and knowledgeable then Steve and Ronnie. Quality of work is exceptional. I have 3 more rooms that I will have done at a later date and will certainly go back to Dominion Flooring. I called several places about getting my floors replaced after we had a flood caused by a water line leaking. Every other place I called was happy to give us an estimate without a problem. When Dominion heard that we were filing a claim with insurance they immediately jacked up their prices. The owner , Dominic, more than happily spent the time to get to know us and our home. He recommended providers for additional work. I went to this store numerous times for the fact that it had a large selection to choose from. Dominic and John were always pleasant to deal with. Until I went to sign the contract and it wasn't itemized. John was the main person who had been helping me and he was the one that did the contract. He had to leave but before doing so I questioned something and he dismissed me. Dominic asked John to itemize it and it was sent to my email the next day. When I read the contract the figures were not adding up. . So I called John and questioned the materials cost. I knew what the material cost plus the square footage was. He told me that there was a $25 delivery fee and it was added into the material cost before the taxes were added. I'm confused. Why charge a delivery fee if you are going to install the product? Then I asked about the labor costs and again I knew the pricing info. I was dismissed again! I was told that everything was included in the total price. That is not what I asked. So to this day I don't know what the extra charge was for. The contract was extremely overpriced. I've haven't been back into the store or called. I would have thought that they would've at least call me to find out what the heck happened. read more
