After a substantial amount of time, Macario showed up to pick up his equipment. I confronted him about why the job wasn't finished. He informed me that the general contractor wasn't paying him. I offered to pay him, so he finished the job the next day. 2nd job: Same exact thing as the first job. I wasn't sure who to fault, me or him, for using the general contractor. Macario does great work and is inexpensive. He put in a drain when he poured one of my concrete pads near the hot tub that works great! I would suggest contacting him directly. We reached out to Enrique after fighting with a previous concrete company which poured a patio that was unusable to us for the intended purpose of holding a hot tub and pergola. Although we ultimately had to remove the prior work at extra cost, this put us in a great position to see how impressive Enrique was with his demeanor and work ethic. He answered all of our exhaustively once-bitten-twice-shy questions patiently and spent as much time as we needed to hash out patio designs and make a decision moving forward. When the work day came around, Enrique himself was on-site the entire time overseeing everything and delivered exactly what we agreed upon. Since he was removing the old patio and pouring a new one he gave us a break on the price of demo / removal which we very much appreciated and the end result is a night and day difference. The patio correctly slopes away from the house then has a near-flat section for the hot tub before sloping again for water flow. The difference is just a few degrees and unnoticeable just looking at it but the drainage is excellent and the hot tub water is near level. Enrique also added an extra layer of rebar underneath where we had the hot tub planned. Now that we've been using the patio for a few months there's been no settling or cracking.
