Real cool spot if you want a quick snack or meal. I've gotta a couple things. The juices, the wraps, sandwiches, salads, Etc. Great neighborhood deli that you will leave satisfied after going too!

Lox on bagel from 51st Deli - Nations, Nashville
    Bruce K.

We asked Yelp for a deli along our route and it recommended 51st Deli. A good choice though parking is a challenge here. Mrs. K. studied the menu and opted for the lox on a bagel. She enjoyed it and was impressed that they did include the capers but wondered why the bagel wasn't toasted. I chose the first sandwich on the list, the Italian. A nice collection of meats and cheese and veggies on bread that didn't seem "day of" to me. Maybe it is and we ordered late in the day? The drink coolers can't be beat. Many, many options from macro pops to small local cans. We struggled to choose! Overall, decent. A solid four star experience with our sandwiches from 51st Deli - Nations. Turkey avocado sandwich, subbed banana peppers in place of pickled onions

One of the best places to get a sandwich in Nashville. The turkey avocado, the Philly, the chopped cheese, the Cuban, breakfast, the tacos...it's all great. Casual, high quality, and consistently good. They also have refrigerators full of drinks, sides, and chips to choose from. Their online ordering is super easy, fast, and it's always ready on time.

Best turkey club I've had in Nashville so far. The staff is always so sweet and SO quick. Whether you're taking it to go or sitting down, it's always the best time at 51st.

This spot was recommended by our Uber driver, and I'm so glad we gave it a try. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but it's absolutely worth it. You place your order at the counter, and our food was ready in under 10 minutes. There are a few tables if you want to eat inside, though most people seemed to be doing grab-and-go. They also have a very large drink selection. If sandwiches aren't your thing, they offer salads and tacos as well. I ordered The Legend, which comes with roast beef, melted cheddar cheese, onion, and barbecue sauce. Barbecue sauce on a deli sandwich sounded a little strange at first, but it was surprisingly delicious. If you're looking for a good deli sandwich this is the place. Don't leave without grabbing one of their chocolate chip cookies.

This place isn't a true "DELI"; what it is, is an Eatery. Now if you haven't been in a True Deli this place is a fine place to pick up a salad, hamburger, and tacos. If you have been to a Deli, don't get your hopes up, as you can see by the picture, the ham isn't shaved. Also, my rye bread was toasted, I didn't want my bread toasted... Also, this sandwich cost $10!!!

I was having a beer at Southern Grist and the bartender mentioned the Deli for a bodega lunch. The cashier said they specialized in a Rueben, burgers and more. They have 1000 pieces of cake lined up for easy grab and go add ons. Nice lunch spot. I opted for the Rueben and let her choose the bread option. It was ready fast and was outstanding. They won me over with the pickle. Several sub shops and restaurants have withdrawn their pickles with sandwich options and that is my least favorite part of shrink-flation. Long live the sandwich pickle! God Bless you 51st, you a real one.

Fast service and just a good sub! Love this place for a quick bite. Would recommend to come here and get the subs.

I usually love a tuna sandwich but I wasn't particularly impressed! It was a decent sandwich but nothing blew me away-- it felt like Subway or Firehouse Subs quality. The restaurant was cute inside, but I found the employees to not be very helpful or accommodating.

Everything I've tried so far has been so good! I've had the fried chicken caesar wrap, chicken tacos, and the turkey club sandwich. Pictured is my turkey club. I customized it a little bit and it HIT! Everything is always wrapped properly and arrives at a good temp. Highly recommend this place.

Mood: Quick Lunch Very close to TSU & a neighborhood staple. Was so crowded and crazy thing not a long wait. They get you in & out no problem. The variety of beverages are short to none! When I tell you every drink you can think of they have. LOVE Inside was clean and smelled like some good food coming from behind the counter. Service was very good. Local hot spot. Lunch eats: The Vegetarian 8/10: i love a good bean burger. This one had mild flavor but still pretty good. Will next time maybe add a sauce to the burger. Turkey Avocado club 9/10: can't go wrong with a club sandwich. Did the job right. Will be going back to try more items and of course more beverages.

I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sub, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was super tender, packed with flavor, and the sandwich was huge. I only made it through half and ended up eating the rest later that night. It was just as good the second time around. My wife had the Spicy Italian, and she loved it. The sweet pickles on it really made the sandwich stand out and gave it an awesome flavor. The atmosphere was really cool and felt very authentic. They also have a grocery section where you can buy authentic Italian sauces, pasta noodles, and other items, which was a nice touch. The only thing that surprised us was the fountain drinks being $5 each, but they do come in a souvenir cup. If you're looking for an amazing sub sandwich, I highly recommend Little Hats. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and Germantown itself is a great area to walk around and explore. There are tons of cool places nearby. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Nashville. I'd give this a 5 out of 5 stars.

We got a number and had no problem finding an indoor table as it was hot out. The outdoor patio is very large though and this place can hold a lot of people. The food came out in 10 minutes or so and the fontina cheese went well with the spicy cherry peppers, which were unique to this sandwich. It also came with some potato salad. There was a self serve water station and you bus yourself.

I am absolutely sure that in the hour my friend and I were waiting, six other other customers were seated ahead of us. Standing for an hour is okay but only if they're actually taking the customers in order. But then we were seated and with the small menu, I was able to order. A few minutes later, Big Al shouts, "Does anyone want a cinnamon bun?" and I have never been closer to taking a walk from my keto diet. But I was good and only drooled a little watching the couple sitting next to us split theirs. It smelled so good. Brunch arrived and we've now been at Big Al's for 90 minutes. I had selected the day's special, the FOUR egg steak omelet which I had with peppers and onions *filled* the plate. Sloppy and tasty and loaded with probably half a pound of sliced steak. I only took one small bit of my biscuit - fluffy and light but heavy and dense. Delicious. My friend had a concoction that I can only call The Coronary Plate: Fried eggs, fried potatoes, fried chicken. Half of a fried chicken that looked better than anything I've ever seen at KFC or Popeye's or my own beloved Bojangles. Crispy, slightly burned but a light batter and a juicy center. Yeah, get that. Big Al's is an anachronism. The food is cooked by hand, it's delicious and it stands halfway down the block of a completely residential neighborhood. You'll be driving the last couple of blocks and wondering, what am I getting in to? Trust me, they're probably open. Pro tip: Try the gravy. It's spicy!
