I'd be willing to raise the rating on this one because I know one sandwich and one experience wouldn't define a place like this bc there are a ton of positives but the sandwich I got wasn't really what I was expecting. First off, the place is awesome. It's built like a stereotypical New York bodega/deli I used to go to all the time. And maybe that's why I have such high expectations because it had the look. I got a chopped cheese which is one of my favorites form back home but honestly it just missed the mark. Bread was a bit soggy and thin and the content inside had a Russian dressing sweet taste to it and the tomato was kind of soggy as well. It just didn't taste like a real chop cheese tbh. But the sandwich was solid. Got the chocolate cake as well which was kind of dry. Don't get the saps drink as well it's nasty haha. Their drink selection is elite though, soooo many options to choose from, I just picked soemthing new and wasn't a fan. Really like the deli and what they are doing here, I'm going to get a different sandwich next time bc their other options look promising.

Great Deli's have a way of making what seems like a simple sandwich taste amazing! Thanks 51st Deli! It's near Vanderbilt University if you're in town and want to try.

This place is lovely. I got the Cuba sandwich. Add Jalapeños and mushrooms and tomatoes. The enchilada soup and broccoli cheddar were soooo good! The staff was nice ! The food was good. The place was quick and clean. I can't believe I've never been here before. Can't wait to go back !

Cold potatoes, cold sausage, barely cooked rubbery bacon. It was terrible.

Rubbery barely cooked bacon cold potatoes, cold sausage. It was terrible my wife had a bacon egg cheese bagel. The bagel was soggy. The bacon was rubbery and not cooked. The egg was cooked sunny side up instead of scrambled. Terrible experience. All for $36.

I decided to give this shop another try, and this time was a little better. The staff is always friendly and the inside is great with lots of seating and snack options. However, their reuben was just okay, and once again the meat on my sandwich had some spots that were oddly tough and chewy. This spot is good in a pinch for lunch, but there are many other places in Nashville I'd choose first for a good sandwich.

Mondo sandwiches. For real. Big, delicious, fresh, lots of interesting sides as well as any kind of chips you could possibly want, this would definitely be a go-to sandwich shop for me if I were a Nashvillean. I happened to be in the area staying somewhat nearby, and decided to take a walk over because heck, who doesn't love a good sandwich shop? Not to mention, the Yelp reviews were really good, and the pictures looked very impressive. Walking in, it feels like a NY style deli in there. You are confronted with a huge deli counter lined with all the different meats, salads, cold sides, and a kitchen full of people listening to good music and having a great time at work. Walking to your right to get in line, there is a cooler with what seems like never-ending options for canned and bottled drinks. There are also coffees, juices, and smoothies available at the register. Have fun picking the one you want! Keep walking into line and you'll be tempted by all the fun snacks and of course what is behind the counter. Place your order and wait for your number to be called. We got a club sandwich, an Italian, some chips, and a side of their elote street corn. Both sandwiches were huge and delicious, served on fresh bread. The elote could have used a bit more oomph, but overall, was very enjoyable... and way more than we could finish on all fronts. Would definitely come back here on my next trip!

This place has so much variety and offers fresh food! I went around lunch and it was very busy, tight parking. Great customer service, fast and convenient. I got the turkey avacado which was loaded with flavor the bread was tough. I also had a mucho mango smoothie. The smoothie was difficult to drink given the small stew and large dates. However, it tasted great! I'll be back and I'll likely try something else.

An excellent quick but high quality restaurant. Reminds me of a NYC bodega and the food is unbelievable. I am a big sandwich fan and the club sandwich as well as the Italian sub are as good as it gets.

Say hello to your new go-to sandwich shop! My husband and I have ordered from the new 51st Deli location twice in the last month, and will definitely be making this a regular stop. Both of our recent visits were on Sunday afternoons, and I would be remiss if I didn't shout out the incredible customer service! The folks working here are genuinely excited that you're there - they greet you when you walk in the door, take your order quickly and kindly (no matter how busy they are), and then wish you well when you're leaving. This is truly some of the best service I've had in Nashville at a grab-and-go restaurant. If you're in the mood for a hot sandwich, I recommend the Chopped Cheese. This is 51st Deli's take on a classic, and they do so memorably. If you've never had a Chopped Cheese before, it's basically a burger in sandwich form without a true patty. That might sound strange, but trust me when I say it's incredible! On our second visit, I decided to try the Turkey Avocado sandwich, which is packed full of flavor and texture. This order solidified my opinion that you can't go wrong with anything on the menu at 51st Deli, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tasty sandwich to-go! That said, if you do decide to dine in, they have several tables available inside and outside, along with an extensive wall of drinks to choose from.

Service was great and the sandwiches were as well. I would go back again. The atmosphere was that of old school type deli.

DRINKS: The all-you-can-drink option adds $$ (I think $20-25/person), so it isn't cheap... but is worthwhile if your group loves Mimosa's, Vodka's, Bloody Mary's and fresh Fruit Juices. To their credit, Federales' service staff POURS THE DRINKS CONSTANTLY lol. They brought out bottle after bottle, esp for the Mimosa's. We enjoyed it and felt this was part of the experience there - chill out, sink into the vibe, enjoy live music and loosen up while sitting in a modern open-air concept with everyone around smiling and feeling good ... In conclusion, this rivals Adele's for my favorite Nashville brunch spot. The two have very different vibes, and I highly recommend checking out Federales!

This place came recommended from a friend and it seemed exciting to go to the restaurant of a singer! It is right in the heart of the downtown bar area. We had a very large group of people on a Saturday night. We had a bit of a wait as they do not take reservations. They seated us upstairs all together sort of at a row of tables separate but all on a row which worked out ok. We were there to celebrate a 21st birthday. They did say Happy Birthday but nothing special beyond that was given or provided which was a little disappointing but I think everyone in Nashville is celebrating something so I get it. Service was very good. Chips with salsa and guacamole was provided upon seating for everyone. When requested more was provided. We had one person who was Gluten Free and they appeared to take care in explaining options as well as answering any questions people had. Drinks were refilled and kept flowing (alcoholic ones). And for a busy Saturday night meals came out in a good timing. Everyone enjoyed their meal although one person had bitten into something hot and did not like it and they were happy to replace the meal. The meal that I had was fantastic! The steak quesadilla. The steak was tender and extremely flavorful. Honestly I had been a bit hesitant to order steak due to being very picky over steak quality. But I was very happy with it! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and at the end of the meal the server actually was ok with splitting up the ticket even tho we were a very large group which many many establishments refuse to do so this made me very pleased! Oh they had a live band playing on the first floor which was nice. There is an elevator at the back of the restaurant which is nice for those unable or just not wanting to climb a flight of stairs . The flower wall with the Nashville name on it made such a great backdrop for photos! They had two unisex bathrooms on the first floor. I would definitely recommend and go back to this place!

The fact that Savannah's was right next door made it even more fun I stopped in on Taco Tuesday around lunchtime, and it was the perfect time to visit. There was a nice crowd, but it wasn't overly busy. I even picked up a Casa Rosa T-shirt as a souvenir after settling in at the bar. The highlight of my visit was Johnny, the bartender. I told him I wanted something sweet with tequila, and he created the perfect drink. I honestly don't know what he made, but it was so good I ordered a second one! We also discovered we're both from Chicago, which made for great conversation and made the experience feel even more welcoming. Johnny recommended the tacos, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. They were fresh and flavorful. Pair those tacos with two amazing tequila drinks, live music from a fantastic band, and my total bill came to under $50. If you're looking for a great lunch spot with good food, excellent drinks, live music, and outstanding service, Casa Rosa is definitely worth a stop. And if Johnny is behind the bar, you're in great hands. I can't wait to make it back to Nashville, and hopefully one day I'll get lucky enough to visit while Miranda Lambert is there!
