Here are bins where you can weight your own and see the disgusting nastiness. Sorry I have no other words to describe.
Ferihan D.

Very disappointed. It was disgustingly dirty. No consideration to food health laws in the USA. Food bins were beyond dirty. See it for yourself in the pictures of just of the few areas I took pictures of. Besides that most products had no price tags and then the ones which had price tags were ringing up higher then it was posted. It was such a mess that shopping here is an adventure. Now if you have no price limit and don't care about hygiene and proper sanitation then be my guest and shop here but I sure will not be shopping at this location ever again. I am from Atlanta and there we have few of this establishment and it is nothing like this location. I wonder if it it's the franchise that has their standards askew? Just a question to think about.

Note: They had moved and neither Google or Yelp had up to date information when I dropped in (I've submitted an edit). The new location on 420 Harding place is a short walk from the abandoned old one (and apparently the people at the vape shop their are on good terms with this store because they directed me to the right place). Once I got there, I found what I think is both the largest and cleanest Indian market I have ever been in. A wide variety of vegetables was available, as well as entire aisles of things like pickles (don't let that term be a turn-off: Indian pickled fruits and vegetables are way better than brined cucumbers), teas, beans, and snacks. It isn't 100% vegetarian, but there is a ton of good stuff and a fairly clear line demarcating where the non-vegetarian items lie. I didn't find 100% of what I wanted (no drumstick plants, for instance), but if that's the standard, no store is ever going to meet it. I found a lot of nice things. Signage states that a shopping complex of related businesses is supposed to be coming in around it. For now, anyone here should realize that there are not a lot of places around with better selection than this.

Nicest Patel Bros, at least 6-8 electric charging stations, really nice prepared foods/pastries and desserts section, also a bonus - very clean bathrooms. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and lots of registers open, no wait time for checkout. Pretty well stocked produce and the best frozen section I've seen at any PB.

I stopped by the new Patel Brothers this morning when I was in the area and looking for some snacks for a roadtrip. It's in almost the same location as before - but wayyyyyy bigger! It's so big and bright and well-stocked? Need herbs? Produce? Hard-to-find produce? Snacks? Spices? Rice? They have it all. (Seriously, there's a rice AISLE.) The store is big enough to have really wide aisles and it feels so spacious (the anti-Trader Joes). This store really has everything, and it's such an upgrade from their old location (way bigger, newer, tons of parking - remember the parking situation before??)! It also has an area where you can lunch to go! If you were a fan of the old Patel Brothers, get yourself to Patel Brothers quick! It's wonderful! South Nashville is lucky to have it!

Love this vegetarian Indian grocery store so much. So clean, so nice, great produce. Everything at the bakery is good - highly recommend veg curry puff, it's our favorite. My husband is Indian and does most of our Indian cooking but for something fast their TV dinners are really good. They have paneer, masala dinners, everything.

I brought Vadilal ice Cream. Unfortunately it was very old and expired I didn't realize until I opened it. They carry lot of old expired food Especially in freezer and ready to eat food packets. I paid $5 for this absolutely disgusting and old ice cream I would have got a great ice cream at Jenis or Whole Foods for $5. Disgusting and disgrace!

The reason the store is closed on Mondays, as are Indian restaurants, is that Monday is a traditional day of fasting for Hindus.

Dear Trader Joe's Green Hills,…read more I don't know who's in charge over there, but I'd like them to replace every world leader immediately. The United Nations? Dissolved. Congress? Sent home. The DMV? Bulldozed. Trader Joe's Green Hills is now the governing body of civilization. I've never walked into this place and been greeted by someone who looked like they'd rather be anywhere else. Every employee smiles like they just got engaged, won the lottery, and pet a golden retriever on the way to work. It's suspicious. As a child with OCD, I had approximately 47 family members. Officially it was 14 aunts and uncles and four grandmas, but emotionally it felt like 900 relatives. There were houses where I'd rather eat the upholstery than touch the food. Sometimes it was the smell. Sometimes it was the vibe. Sometimes my brain simply declared, "We're fasting today." Then I came to the US, and discovered Trader Joe's. If one of your employees handed me drywall in a toothpick, i would sample it! This store is cleaner than my conscience after returning my shopping cart. I have genuinely considered quitting my career just to work here. Unfortunately, my therapist intervened. I asked why. She said, "Tarek... you'll be fired within a week." "Why?" "Because you're still a menace to society, and you'll spend half your shift flirting with your coworkers and the other half flirting with customers." Corporate is so dramatic. So instead, I remain a costumer romanticizing what could have been. Whenever people visit NashVegas, everyone says, "Let's go to Broadway." Wrong. We're going to Trader Joe's. You're going to experience affordable flowers, tiny shopping carts, free samples, and enough positive human interaction to make you question whether you've accidentally died. I have left this store happier than I've left actual therapy sessions. The only complaint I have, and this physically pains me to write is: PLEASE bring back the Middle Eastern kibbeh. I'm not saying I'll stand outside holding a candlelight vigil, but I'm also not saying I won't. Trader Joe's Green Hills is the only place where I walk in needing grapefruit juice and leave with seventeen items, inner peace, a houseplant, frozen Indian food, three cheeses I can't pronounce(i speak french mind you) l, and the confidence to forgive my enemies. I love every single one of you. If this store ever closes, I'll simply assume the apocalypse has started and act accordingly.

They typically have what I need in stock, which is very helpful. The only thing I wish they would improve on is the pickup parking lot; better traffic flow or signage would be helpful. Overall, because of the convenience and prompt service, I will continue to take advantage of this service.

Looking for sales on Christmas decorations in late December after the holiday had passed, I found an excellent deal! There was this Santa's Bake Shop inflatable normally priced around $100, but it was about 75% off with "only 2 remaining" as the website touted. Stock was low so I had to act immediately! At roughly $25, this was a nice little bargain. And I could pick it up at the South Nashville location. So I bought it! Two days pass and the item should be ready in South Nashville. Instead, the South Nashville store cancels my order and claims that the item is sold out. What's the purpose of having a button you can press on a website to buy something that is low in stock only to have your order revoked? Is that how online shopping works with Walmart? But it gets worse! A day later, the item reappeared on the Walmart website ... fully in stock ... for $199.99! Say what?! Yup, Walmart is just that greedy. Why make $25 off a customer when you can make $200? And that BUY button on their website? It means absolutely nothing.

Once you…read moreexperience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars.
