Saw some of the reviews and didn't have too high of expectations but their desserts was one of the better ones I had in a while, especially their shaved ice! Got the green tea and red bean shaved ice and for the price, the size and the quality toppings, this is essentially way better than Grace Street or other shaved ice places I tried. Excited to come back and try more of their menu

Customized Tong Sui (mango, strawberry ice cream, grass jelly, watermelon, honeydew) -- so refreshing
    Celena C.

I got a customized Tong Sui, and it was very refreshing. The mango puree wasn't overly sweet, and their ice cream scoop sizes are not skimpy. I'd probably come back for their Tong Sui and not much else, although they do have a lot of dessert options. The customized waffle wasn't bad (a lot better in value than Kulu), but I think I just am never impressed with bubble waffles. Very cute dessert shop. Friendly staff. Definitely will return!

Got two shaved ice. Came here a few years ago and thought it wasn't that bad. A lot of things have changed and honestly not bad. The two shave ice came with a giant island of ice which was a downside of this place but overall, everything wasn't that bad. The toppings were pretty standard and the service was pretty nice. Overall, not that bad if you're in the area.

    Honeydew and Sago

Quality Asian-inspired dessert shop for both dessert drinks and foods. I got the Honeydew and Sago (~$9), which was a tasty combo of a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, coconut cream, sago, honeydew balls, and some jellies- all high quality. It was not as much as it looks like though, as the plate is actually kind of shallow but they put it on top of a stand which makes it look twice as big. The place is inside a small shopping center pretty close to Main Street. There is a nice clean seating area with some trendy Chinese decor (pretty standard Chinese dessert shop style) and a decent amount of seating. It was actually not too busy on a Saturday night. The staff were average friendliness, and the service speed was fine. The prices were maybe a tad elevated but still reasonable. Overall, 520 Dessert is a solid dessert shop that I would recommend to you if you are in this main area of Flushing and are looking to sit down and enjoy a sweet treat.

    Mango Fantastic Shaved Ice

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was completely empty. It was a cute space and I enjoyed the decor/ambiance. We were seated quickly and serviced quite efficiently as well - our order was taken within a few minutes and our food was out fast as well. The size of our mango dessert and the price made it a fantastic deal. We didn't expect it to be as big as it was and we were pretty satisfied afterwards. There was a good mix of all the different toppings with more than enough ice cream and mango cream to go around as well. For two people, it was perfect to share! I would happily come back here anytime to try some of their other desserts! Thanks, 520!

This dessert spot is hard to find as it is tucked away in a building where I originally thought it was an entrance to another restaurant. Upon entering, the staff members sat us down for table service, so tipping is expected. My gf and I split an order of the Mango & Black Sticky Rice ($9.50). Got various different flavor profiles and textures, which makes it a solid choice. Kind of funny they used the lid of this cup and the other piece to give it height to make it seem like there's a large amount. Overall not a bad spot to choose for dessert on a hot summer day.

    Dessert Hot Pot

I've always wanted to try hot pot dessert, and I finally got the chance to at 520 Dessert. It was so good! You choose the base (we got the milk tea) and 8 toppings (we got boba, assortment of fresh fruit, jelly, and red bean). It was delicious. The portion was huge, and two people definitely couldn't finish it. I would recommend 4 people. The service at 520 Dessert was also great. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a great experience at 520 Dessert. The food was delicious, and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dessert experience.

Cannot ask for a cuter dessert place to just chill and talk with friends :) I think they're one of the few places in open for long hours, so that's another plus since most people around their 20s are night owls I'm never disappointed with their presentation of their items and I've been here maybe 7 times since they opened

    Honey Toast Box

I visited here recently when I was trying to find a new dessert spot to try in or around Flushing. The location of this spot is inside a building you have to enter and then find. I ordered the Rainbow Mille Crepe Cake and the Honey Toast Box. The crepe cake was really pretty and came with a cut, fresh strawberry and strawberry ice cream. The toast box was also really cute. You may have to ask what comes with this one because they do not have a lot of details on the menu itself. I may have ordered the wrong things but both came with Fruity Pebbles. I did not like how sweet the toast box was (I know it is dessert though). I feel like the toast box was just glorified bread since the kiwi and other fruits tasted warm and, the bread itself was not good. Nonetheless, 520 Dessert is at a prime location in Flushing. I would recommend this place to others but would not recommend ordering the toast box. I, myself, will be coming back to try their other offerings since their desserts are well-priced.

After two years I finally made it to this place.. I was originally going to try the 9 set dessert but then the dessert hot pot caught my attention and I couldn't resist. I would have definitely gotten both but i just had Korean bbq before that So I ended up just getting the Dessert Hotpot (herbal jelly, lychee jelly, pudding, watermelon, mochi, black sticky rice, Oreo, marshmallow, coconut base) You can customize to any way that you like Would definitely come back to try the other items!

    Signature Mango Pomelo Sago

Cute and yummy desserts! The mango pomelo sago was my favorite and tasted very fresh. The honey dew shaved ice was also quite tasty. Definitely would be back if I'm around Flushing.

    Melon Shaved Ice
    Rina D.

Note: You have to go inside the main building through the glass doors, and keep walking to find this place! We got seated right away (but the seat was next to the cashier and that was a bit iffy) and our order came out pretty fast. The melons were pretty stale and flavorless. There was not enough syrup, and most of it was legit just eating ice... so we had to ask for more syrup and melt down the melona ice cream to get more flavor and it finally started to taste better.. Okay experience, maybe some other desserts are more flavorful and recommended here!

    Mango black sticky rice
    Iris F.

I liked the Mango black sticky rice here! Fruit was sweet and fresh and it overall satisfied my Asian dessert craving. We also added taro balls for extra chewy texture which was A+.

They pour the dessert in front of you and put a sand glass on top. Once sand glass is done, so is the dessert and you can even rest a spoon on top. The dessert is very smooth, barely a solid, and its ginger taste is very strong- which I like. Strong ginger but pairs well with the milk and good amount of sugar. It is a bit spicy but I like it this way. They do have a lot of other desserts as well as savory items on the menu. Intrigued by their savory menu and will definitely come back to try them next time.

Not only are they opened later than a lot of dessert places that I have found in flushing but their desserts are also great! This time around my friends and I got the Fresh Coconut Pudding with Golden Crisp Rice and it did not disappoint. Firstly, the pudding in itself was not overly sweet but had a strong coconut flavor. The texture was perfect in the sense that the pudding wasn't too hard inside and the golden rice crisp was a delicious finish on top. It added a nice crunch to the bite and also gave like a toasted coconut feel when tasted together with the pudding. The second thing we got was like a durian mango sago. I am a big fan of durian so I really enjoyed this dessert. The durian was perfectly sweet and custard and the mangos were sweet but tangy giving the dessert a little more depth. Although I only got two desserts this time around, I do want to point out that their shaved ice is not something that you should miss out on either. I have had many of the flavors and have never been disappointed. It is super fluffy and milky and just melts as soon as it hits your tongue. It is something that I order majority of the time that I dine in (they have a big variety so I just switch it up). The experience at this dessert shop is always great and since they have a call button for whenever you need a server, it feels a little more intimate and private!

My initial thought when seeing only several people in there, "mhm yes ~ perfect timing to check it out today!" Pushed through the heavy glass doors and stepped in. There're two floors in total, the lower floor to get the scrumptious goodies and seating/tables on the upper floor. Ambience wise is pretty much based off a signature light lime green concept which is supposed to represent "being healthy" and "plant involved ingredients." All the baked treats are contained in a glass display case with a warm light above to highlight the best side/angles of their sweet and savory tarts. This marketing technique is definitely effective as it would drive customers to have a higher chance of buying a tart or two and making the golden flaky crusts look more mouthwatering under the light. The ordering process wasn't too bad with only a mom and four kids in front of me. Shortly afterwards, it was my turn to place my order. I decided on the Bacon Potato Salad Tart and originally the Super Whole Lemon Tea. But then, I was informed by the cashier that I couldn't get no ice for that drink. So, I asked which drinks I could get that didn't have ice. Staff replied that only the Super Orange Jasmine Tea under Fresh Fruit Teas & the other 4 drink options under Light Milk Tea that won't have ice. Opted for the Super Orange Jasmine Tea instead in the end. Paid in cash but you can also pay with credit/debit card. Staff didn't have any smile (just a poker face expression). Not even a fake smile of any kind. He wasn't rude but I could tell he didn't wanna be there. Anyway, I waited about 5-10 mins and glanced at the LED screen from time to time to see when my order # would be called (trying to see if my order was ready yet). Got my orange tea drink placed in a single cardboard drink holder to be secured and made sure that it won't spill/topple over. There was a plastic straw in green paper wrapper. The tart was placed inside a brown paper bag with a see-through opening. Everything was placed neatly inside the green reusable bag. Took my order upstairs and hopefully would be able to find somewhere to sit down. Luckily for me, I found an empty table towards the front of the seating area. However, I was somewhat disgusted by the few long hair strands + pastry crumbs + a smear of dried matcha paste stuck/left all over the dirty table from the previous customer as soon as I had sat down. So, you can see that the employees don't really care about the cleanliness of its seating area upstairs since nothing gets cleaned/wiped down especially not the tables. Fine, whatever. I quickly used a napkin in my hand to tidy up the mess. Started taking everything out from the green reusable bag. Sure glad I did, otherwise I would've never noticed and just left with the wrong thing. Found out that the staff had given me the wrong tart. The paper bag somehow felt really light in weight before turning over to see that it was the signature caramel flavor instead of the bacon potato salad tart. Went downstairs again by the pickup section informing one of the staff that I didn't get the savory tart. Showed my order on the receipt as proof and gave the caramel egg tart back to the staff. He quickly said "sorry about that" then proceeded to exchange with me for the correct tart right away. Went back upstairs and my table was still empty. Made myself comfy and settled in. Took a sip of the Super Orange first and it was refreshing indeed w/o any ice and only 25% sugar. Can't imagine how many sips I would even get out of it...had it been filled with the "less ice" option, since you know that "less ice" is never truly "less ice" in reality either. More like half a cup of ice. Plus, the fruity tea had few slices of lemon, orange, and lime. But, that's the main reason why I would often opt for the no ice version if I could help it. It's poured inside a sturdy plastic cup. Just the right amount of sweetness with the 25% sugar + refreshing feeling from the citrus slices. The fragrant jasmine tea taste was clearly visible in the entire drink itself. (4/5 - $6.90) The Bacon Potato Salad Tart was stored in a disposable cardboard container. Now, this was how the savory tart should've weighted....heavy in my hand. My long lost tart...the symmetrical-looking golden pastry with its flaky crust! Normally, I don't go for flaky pastries of any kind so hopefully this better be above average for the money spent = worthwhile. The texture of the potato bits resting on the tart with just the right amount of seasoning. The chewy consistency of mozzarella cheese melting in my mouth. The tart was warm & not "straight out of the oven hot." (4/5 - $4.50)

I understand eating something like Cajun seafood with gloves on but with pastries, that was definitely a first. There are some seats upstairs and it didnt feel crowded or too busy.
