Didn't realize this was inside the mall when looking up icecream spots on Yelp. I've passed this place before but first time getting something. Guy at the counter was really helpful. I tried a few flavors before going with strawberry lychee with condensed milk. $7.40 was the cost. A little pricey for ice cream but everything is expensive now a days

I've had Soft Swerve in Manhattan before, but this was my first time trying it in their Flushing location. It's inside Tangram's food hall so seating can be a hit or miss depending on how busy it is. I had their Ube soft serve and their strawberry lychee. It's been a while since I tried them, but this time around, it felt sweeter than I remembered!

Regular ice cream flavors July 2025

Soft Swerve, I'm still head over heels over your ice cream! So creamy and delicious...mmmm. Located in the food court on the second floor of Tangram Mall, they've got stiff competition from Matcha Cafe Maiko that also serves matcha and black sesame soft serve, however Soft Swerve has always carried more flavors as a true ice cream shop. On an evening weekend the short line took about 5-6 minutes. They switch up their options periodically and as of second week July 2025, available flavors for soft serve were ube, black sesame, vanilla and frozen hot chocolate, the first two and last two having the option of being swirled together. I've had their black sesame and matcha soft serve before and loved it, I tried my friend's black sesame again and it's still as good as I remembered! A strong toasted black sesame taste, super creamy. The frozen hot chocolate is amazing too, very rich and velvety. Regular ice cream flavors included HongKong milk tea, Thai iced tea, strawberry lychee, almond cookie, cookies and cream. The following were vegan: mango coconut sorbet, lychee dragonfruit sorbet, ube vegan ice cream. I tried the ube and it had a strong flavor of ube, well-recommended for ube lovers. The mango coconut sorbet honestly tasted more like ice cream that sorbet, the heightened level of creaminess from the coconut paired sensationally with the tarter sweetness of mango. Sooo goooood! As of July 2025 a single scoop includes one flavor, and will set you back $7.00, $3.50 for an additional scoop, all toppings +$0.50 except mochi +$1.25. This is more than my last visit though not entirely surprising considering inflation and rent hikes. Cash or card accepted, staff is friendly and able to provide a couple tastings if you're not sure what you want. Seating is shared with the rest of the food court, at benches and tables. Bathrooms are located nearby on the second floor of the mall.

I stopped by Soft Swerve for dessert after being influenced by an Instagram video, and it did not disappoint! They have such a fun selection of unique flavors that you don't usually see at ice cream shops. My son ordered the Dragonfruit Lychee sorbet -- it was so refreshing, mostly dragonfruit-forward with just the right hint of lychee. I tried the Thai Milk Tea and Hong Kong Milk Tea ice cream, topped with a drizzle of condensed milk. Both were delicious, but the Thai Milk Tea was hands-down my favorite -- rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Soft Swerve is located inside the Tangram Mall food court, which makes it a perfect spot to grab a sweet treat after shopping or dining. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors!

A cute ice-cream shop with lots of Asian flavors located inside the Tangram Food Court. Previously, I've had their Thai iced tea and ube which both I really liked. They offer a variety of hard Ice-Cream flavors and some soft Ice-Cream flavors. If you do not want a cup, you have several options for the cone - regular sugar cone, waffle cone, and flavored/colored waffle cones. I always love sampling Ice-Cream before getting a whole scoop of one and I'm glad I got to try two seasonal flavors - the almond cookie and the lychee sorbet. The almond cookie flavor was very feint and not as good as that of the Chinatown Ice-Cream Factory, but the lychee sorbet was good! My niece wanted the cookies and cream and much to my surprise, was one of the better ones I've had. She also wanted a sugar cone and rainbow marshmallow toppings which both cost extra. The service was great here and they also sell pints in the fridge behind the cash register. Will definitely be back!

Okay me lovelies! I don't give out very many 5 stars this vendor deserved the 5 stars for FLAVOR! I'm not much of an Ube flavor fan only because most places the flavor is so mild it's just not sending my taste buds any wow feelings. The Ube soft serve ice cream here is PHENOMENAL! My twin got a combo of Ube and Red Bean, I got Vanilla, my brother got Ube all soft serve. The Ube and Vanilla were both vibrant flavors. I will note the Red Bean was more mild than expected, but that could have been because I tried that flavor last so the Red Bean soft serve was a bit lackluster after Ube. This location is in a mall food court. Their line can get long but moves pretty fast. Seating is very limited in the food court. There are plenty of parking garages nearby. They have hand scooped ice cream, soft serve, sundaes, floats, shakes, cones or cups. Regrettably, I forgot to check for vegan options my apologies.

Thank you, Soft Swerve! The Vegan Ube is my ultimate favorite - so, so, so delicious every single time. Even my sisters are obsessed. Also tried their Strawberry Lychee flavor and it was good. Just not as good as Ube though!

Located inside the Tangram food hall, Soft Swerve is scooping up Asian flavors of ice cream that should pique your curiosity like Hong Kong Milk Tea, Ube, Vietnamese Coffee, & Thai Tea. I went with 2 scoops and chose strawberry lychee and Hong Kong milk tea for my flavors. Out of the two flavors, the Hong Kong milk tea was my favorite. It was creamy and tasted exactly like a Hong Kong milk tea drink but the tea flavor wasn't too strong. The strawberry lychee flavor was okay for me and unfortunately I found it was a little icy when I was eating it and didn't have the best texture but the flavor was good. Service was fast and the person helping me at the counter was friendly and helpful with any questions I had. This is a good spot to stop by after eating at one of the other stalls in the food hall and I would recommend coming by. I'll be back in the future to try out the rest of the flavors and see what else they come up with.

1 star service: the people have been nice for each time we went since grand opening but the recent time they were extremely rude. They didn't communicate and had a negative attitude at the POS. 5 star sesame swirl - I would recommend trying this flavor when at soft swerve because the other places don't offer this flavor and it's tasty. 4.5 star ube swirl - I don't recall if this one is worse or better than the matcha place (they also have an ube) - will test next time to compare. Very crowded food court so it's tough to find a spot to sit. To be honest, I much prefer the matcha place at the entrance overall for quality and flavor.

I taste tested almost all of the flavors and they were true to their description. Each tasted great but my favorites were Thai Tea, Almond Cookie, and HK Milk Tea. Service was very friendly, and it's located in the Tangram food court! I would definitely come by for some ice cream again if I'm in the area.

    Frozen Hot Chocolate Ice Cream

Walked by and my kids zoned in on ice cream. The woman at the counter was so lovely and kind. Offered samples even after I said I wasn't sure we'll get dessert as we were eyeing bubble tea. Lo and behold, my kids wanted the frozen hot chocolate (remniscent of the popular Serendipity for those who venture in Midtown Manhattan). It's only one cup size and it's $7. Yowza. A bit pricey for what it is and what it tastes like but at least we can say we tried it. They have different flavors and liked that they offer Asian inspired ones like ube, milk tea and lychee infused with strawberry.

We were looking for dessert, and my cousin's boyfreind was specifically looking for black sesame ice-cream. He did a search, and found this place. This place is located in side a mall at the food court area. Even though it was around 10pm, the food court was still pretty busy. They have quite a few exotic selections. Between the three of us, we got black sesame, Vietnamese coffee and lychee strawberry. The price was a bit steep (~$25 including tax and tip). The ice-cream was good though. If you are looking for exotic ice-cream flavors, then this is your place.

Just okay -- not bad, but a bit overpriced for what it is. I sampled the ube, honeydew, and black sesame, but just a sample of each was enough. Didn't feel like I wanted any more because I guess I'm not too big a fan of ube / taro and the honeydew soft serve tasted very artificial. We ended up getting the sundaes, which we thought weren't worth the price.

I've done this run four out of the last five years and every time have gotten the "rainbow" flavor which consists of cherry, lemon, blue raspberry - it's patriotic in it's red, white, and blue coloring and tastes amazing - like a bomb pop of sorts. There are 50+ flavors, including sugar free options, but I have only tried the rainbow. My fellow runners have tried many of the other flavors though. Single serve sizes range from small ($3.00) to super ($6.00). Typically I order at least a super but have been know to get a super and another smaller size. It's just so refreshing! Also I appreciate how they scoop the ice into the cups with it overflowing at the top - you get your money's worth for sure. Takeaway containers are also available including pints ($8), quarts ($12), 1/2 gallon ($16), and party tub ($55). The last three years I have also brought home a 1/2 gallon of the rainbow. This year I saw that they also sell insulated bags for $1 so you can get your takeaway ice home in its frozen state. Note, they don't accept bills over $20, and they are cash only. Their hours are extensive - Monday-Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 12pm-10pm, and they're open year round. I definitely need to start making the trek here more than once a year.

I usually try Ecuadorian places with my mom (who is pretty picky with Ecuadorian food). She had the peach cup. In her opinion it was more peaches than ice cream, she's not going to order it again . Despite that, she did enjoy it. The coconut ice cream she ordered complemented the peaches nicely and she enjoyed the whipped cream with the cheese topping. I ordered the Bogati cup and we both enjoyed it a lot! It had the perfect ice cream, whipped cream, cheese ratio. The space is small but well decorated. Cons: This place is really popular and there's only a staff of three. The line was out the door!! The wait was long to place the order and to get our ice cream. There are only about 6 tables and the space is cramped with the line. When the ice cream is ready a staff member calls out your name and hand delivers your order.
