Saw some of the reviews and didn't have too high of expectations but their desserts was one of the better ones I had in a while, especially their shaved ice! Got the green tea and red bean shaved ice and for the price, the size and the quality toppings, this is essentially way better than Grace Street or other shaved ice places I tried. Excited to come back and try more of their menu
I got a customized Tong Sui, and it was very refreshing. The mango puree wasn't overly sweet, and their ice cream scoop sizes are not skimpy. I'd probably come back for their Tong Sui and not much else, although they do have a lot of dessert options. The customized waffle wasn't bad (a lot better in value than Kulu), but I think I just am never impressed with bubble waffles. Very cute dessert shop. Friendly staff. Definitely will return!
Got two shaved ice. Came here a few years ago and thought it wasn't that bad. A lot of things have changed and honestly not bad. The two shave ice came with a giant island of ice which was a downside of this place but overall, everything wasn't that bad. The toppings were pretty standard and the service was pretty nice. Overall, not that bad if you're in the area.
Quality Asian-inspired dessert shop for both dessert drinks and foods. I got the Honeydew and Sago (~$9), which was a tasty combo of a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, coconut cream, sago, honeydew balls, and some jellies- all high quality. It was not as much as it looks like though, as the plate is actually kind of shallow but they put it on top of a stand which makes it look twice as big. The place is inside a small shopping center pretty close to Main Street. There is a nice clean seating area with some trendy Chinese decor (pretty standard Chinese dessert shop style) and a decent amount of seating. It was actually not too busy on a Saturday night. The staff were average friendliness, and the service speed was fine. The prices were maybe a tad elevated but still reasonable. Overall, 520 Dessert is a solid dessert shop that I would recommend to you if you are in this main area of Flushing and are looking to sit down and enjoy a sweet treat.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was completely empty. It was a cute space and I enjoyed the decor/ambiance. We were seated quickly and serviced quite efficiently as well - our order was taken within a few minutes and our food was out fast as well. The size of our mango dessert and the price made it a fantastic deal. We didn't expect it to be as big as it was and we were pretty satisfied afterwards. There was a good mix of all the different toppings with more than enough ice cream and mango cream to go around as well. For two people, it was perfect to share! I would happily come back here anytime to try some of their other desserts! Thanks, 520!
This dessert spot is hard to find as it is tucked away in a building where I originally thought it was an entrance to another restaurant. Upon entering, the staff members sat us down for table service, so tipping is expected. My gf and I split an order of the Mango & Black Sticky Rice ($9.50). Got various different flavor profiles and textures, which makes it a solid choice. Kind of funny they used the lid of this cup and the other piece to give it height to make it seem like there's a large amount. Overall not a bad spot to choose for dessert on a hot summer day.
I visited here recently when I was trying to find a new dessert spot to try in or around Flushing. The location of this spot is inside a building you have to enter and then find. I ordered the Rainbow Mille Crepe Cake and the Honey Toast Box. The crepe cake was really pretty and came with a cut, fresh strawberry and strawberry ice cream. The toast box was also really cute. You may have to ask what comes with this one because they do not have a lot of details on the menu itself. I may have ordered the wrong things but both came with Fruity Pebbles. I did not like how sweet the toast box was (I know it is dessert though). I feel like the toast box was just glorified bread since the kiwi and other fruits tasted warm and, the bread itself was not good. Nonetheless, 520 Dessert is at a prime location in Flushing. I would recommend this place to others but would not recommend ordering the toast box. I, myself, will be coming back to try their other offerings since their desserts are well-priced.
I've always wanted to try hot pot dessert, and I finally got the chance to at 520 Dessert. It was so good! You choose the base (we got the milk tea) and 8 toppings (we got boba, assortment of fresh fruit, jelly, and red bean). It was delicious. The portion was huge, and two people definitely couldn't finish it. I would recommend 4 people. The service at 520 Dessert was also great. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a great experience at 520 Dessert. The food was delicious, and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dessert experience.
Cannot ask for a cuter dessert place to just chill and talk with friends :) I think they're one of the few places in open for long hours, so that's another plus since most people around their 20s are night owls I'm never disappointed with their presentation of their items and I've been here maybe 7 times since they opened
After two years I finally made it to this place.. I was originally going to try the 9 set dessert but then the dessert hot pot caught my attention and I couldn't resist. I would have definitely gotten both but i just had Korean bbq before that So I ended up just getting the Dessert Hotpot (herbal jelly, lychee jelly, pudding, watermelon, mochi, black sticky rice, Oreo, marshmallow, coconut base) You can customize to any way that you like Would definitely come back to try the other items!
Note: You have to go inside the main building through the glass doors, and keep walking to find this place! We got seated right away (but the seat was next to the cashier and that was a bit iffy) and our order came out pretty fast. The melons were pretty stale and flavorless. There was not enough syrup, and most of it was legit just eating ice... so we had to ask for more syrup and melt down the melona ice cream to get more flavor and it finally started to taste better.. Okay experience, maybe some other desserts are more flavorful and recommended here!
We came for the desert hot pot experience! It was perfect for a party of 4 where some of us had a lower tolerance for sweets. We got mango, sweet potato balls, grass jelly and strawberries as toppings with a mango base. The experience and ambiance was great for groups but it was a little pricey. Note there was a credit card fee the time we went.

Stopped by here for a sugar fix during an impromptu food crawl. What's with the bad reviews? This is one of the better dessert spots in Flushing, and certainly better than anything in Chinatown. The Mango with Coconut Chung Fen is just fun and tasty, though we all agreed it could've used more chung fen (Yoda says: "Never have too much chung fan, one can"). Our Original Waffle was one of the better versions I've had in a lifetime of eating this amazing treat. It came out perfectly crisp, buttery in texture and delightful in airiness, accompanied by vanilla ice-cream, mangoes, lychees, and strawberries, and condensed milk drizzle. Our one quibble was that there wasn't enough condensed milk either. read more
Came here for the first time and really enjoyed it. Smaller storefront, cute decor. Loved the gold utensils and accent pink wall! Got the create your own waffle- chocolate waffle, strawberry icecream, banana and strawberry with condensed milk, it was good! Oreo & Cookie dessert is delish! Would re order that dessert for sure. read more
They renovated the space to add a bar, so now you can order a cocktail to go with your dessert. It is still one of my go-to for after dinner dessert place in Flushing. I love the "hot pot" shaved ice where you can order your base, and pick the toppings. They then pour dry ice over the pot so you get the smoke effect. It always brings the wow factor and the dish itself is pretty delicious. Service is always great and they like to give you a little gift (keychain) when you leave. Super cute. read more

This is a cute little dessert place in Flushing, Queens, hidden inside. The kiosk doesn't work so make sure you order inside. We dined in, we ordered Honeydew Sago and Snow White Sago (similar to honeydew but with lychee). Both desserts has a scoop of vanilla ice cream, mixed jelly and fruit (either honeydew or lychee). Both desserts were good to enjoy for the summer time! read more

This place is a bit hard to find. You have to go into the main building and it's a little further in. I tried the Mango Fantastic shaved ice, Taro sago with coconut milk, and Mount Fuji hotpot. Mango Fantastic- The shaved ice itself is larger ice pieces rather than the thinner shaved ice like bingsu. The mangos were fresh, the mochi was chewy, and the ice cream was yummy. Taro Sago with coconut milk - There are actual chunks of taro and sweet potato in this. I know this can be a hit or miss for some people. I love the taro mochi and sago. Mount Fuji hotpot - There's a ton of jelly-like toppings on shaved ice. You can choose different base (HK milk tea, coconut milk, or mango). I got HK milk tea as the base, and you basically pour that onto the toppings until it's all soaked in the tea. The toppings were good, but next time I would probably customize my own for more variety. Overall, it's a pretty decent dessert place. It's a bit pricey, but come with a few friends especially if you want to try the hotpot dessert. read more

3 stars for our experience but definitely a 5 star potential if you avoid mistakes we made: 1. Don't get shaved ice when it's 20 degrees out haha. We didn't know the hotpot dessert was on a bed of ice!!! The result was also a lot less decadent than the pics on the menu for it. Definitely recommend trying their other desserts - hot or cold since they all looks really good. Our dessert hot pot wasn't as filled up with toppings as other customer's pics showed and there was barely any mango puree base on the ice. Was very disappointed in this and definitely not worth the price. We regretted it and we're even considering to order another dessert to make up for it. 2. Order ur drink in a to-go cup. The cup they give you the drink in seems big, but I took 2 sips and was full from the big dessert so I asked for a cup to take my drink home. It was almost full in the glass cup but when I poured it into the bubble tea large sized cup they gave me, it looked SO SAD. It was maybe 1/4 or 1/3 full which means my original drink was super small. The mango coconut w. Sago is a must try. One of the best dessert drinks I've ever had!! Lychee mojito was so good too! read more

We stopped by here after dinner, and it was through a friend's recommendation. We loved it here! We ordered the: Taro Delight, Mango Fantastic, and the Honeydew Sago. The taro delight was an absolute hit. The size of the taro delight was really decent, with a big scoop of the green tea ice cream. We loved the green tea ice cream, as it was not too sweet, and just the right amount of bitterness. We loved the grass jelly, the taro mochi balls, and the cream. The next favorite was the honeydew sago! We really enjoyed the sago, and the ice cream. It was very refreshing. The mango fantastic was good, but it was just a regular mango dessert for us. We would definitely come back again! We did not need to wait for a table, and for the time, it was pretty decent, as we got seated right away. We came here as a group of 5, and the 3 desserts was just enough to end the night! read more
We ordered the "assorted dessert platter," which is a 9-dish sampler of different types of desserts. My favorite was the mochi ice cream and grass jelly. I think the matcha and red beans were not very good. It needs to be so much sweeter, and the fruit cup was slightly disappointing but very good. It would be nice to maybe have some shaved ice or ice cream... there wasn't much except jelly, fruits, and a mint to decorate. There was a variety for everyone. It was a great value for what you get out of it. The service was great, and the guy who was running the store was quick and efficient. There was no rush, and we were able to stay and enjoy tea. The store was clean and cute. I want to go back to some shaved ice next time! read more
We got (1) Matcha and Red Bean Shaved Ice and (2) Tropical Island Shaved Ice and they were both delicious! The vanilla ice cream was certainly not Haagen Dazs quality but did the trick. Good variety of fruit in the Tropical Island Shaved Ice - longan, lychee, watermelon, pineapple, honeydew and mango. The shaved ice could have had more flavor (condensed milk? Sweetener?) and it was pretty bland ice but still overall delicious (and good size). Love that this spot is tucked away inside a mall with proper AC and cute vibes. Super nice for a hot and humid summer day. Good service too. read more
Fun dessert spot with lots of asian-style sweet dessert soup options as well as ice cream and drinks. It's tucked inside a building with several other eateries. Egg waffles were made to order with a variety of flavors and were crisp and light. read more

I saw photos of hot pot dessert and really wanted to give it a try since I love love love dessert especially Asian desserts! But.. holy moly, the price of this thing was very expensive! Over $20+ for this. It was definitely more for photos. The dessert itself was good and you get to pick a bunch of items but for the price it was not worth. read more
This cute little dessert place is in an obscure location (in the same building as Congee Village), but worth seeking out. You can customize your own egg waffles, shaved ice and tong sui. Wide variety of toppings. Nice place to relax and enjoy dessert. read more

This fun dessert bar was a real highlight of our eating tour of Flushings Asian offerings. Nice booths with good space and decor. Huge menu with photos. Both adventurous and safe options offered. Think Dessert Hot Pot to Vanilla Ice Cream or Fruit. Perfect sizes for sharing. Great presentation. Go into the building address and head to back right corner cafe. Loved our waffle dessert w chocolate ice cream- the Oreo wasn't on brand but we didn't need it! The Honeydew was large and had shaved ice w syrup, tons of super cold fresh melon, a bit of chia, and a great creamy melon popsicle to scoop with. We loved it! read more

The dessert were not all that. The mango shaved ice is the only thing that's worth the price here. The matcha cake was stale and dry. The waffle ice cream is not worth it at all, as you can see the gave literally 3 drops of condensed milk. read more
Iced hot pot dessert It's very cool way to serve . And they put the dry ice when they served, make the dessert super fancy, and definitely very good to take the phot and video! You can chose you base, topping and syrup . I got coconut milk for base Topping- taro, yam, grass jelly, pearl, mochi, and sticky rice. Syrup- condense milk. Shaved ice under the topping, and you pull in your base soup and syrup your own. Taste pretty good. Event tho it's $24 but it's big enough to share 3-4 people! And they also have new dessert platter , looks really good too. Maybe will come back to try it out! read more

I was looking for a place in Flushing for shaved ice and this popped up so me and my boyfriend decided to try it out. Things were already off to a bad start when we were ordering. We asked how big the desserts were and the male waiter pointed to my boyfriend and said that he should have no problem eating one himself (implying this due to his size). Our desserts came - my boyfriend ordered the Durian Fantastic and I got the Red Bean Matcha Shaved Ice. They gave him the durian shaved ice instead. We flag down a waitress and she insists we got what we ordered. He takes another bite and sees shaved ice. We flag the waitress again and she comes back with a bowl of sticky rice telling us that that's the only thing that was different from what we ordered. The male waiter comes around and tells us we basically got the same thing, and that we only paid $1 extra to get ice on the bottom. And THEN he apologizes. Besides the bad service, the shaved ice wasn't even shaved ice. I had a big chunk of ice below my toppings! Definitely not coming back here again. read more

Hidden gem in flushing! There was a dessert for everyone and portions were huge. We got the shaved ice for only $13 and served 4 ppl. Great for a small group and close to every other restaurant in flushing. Would reco! read more
I really like the dessert platter concept since you can try a little of nine different desserts. It was a good portion for three people. The platter includes: - mochi rice ball with sesame filling and coated with brown sugar & chopped peanut (love this one) - tiramisu - taro balls with grass jelly - matcha pudding with red bean and mochi - shaved ice with assorted fruit - peach gum in coconut milk with gold - mango rice roll (this was mediocre) - ice cream with mochi and macaron - mango pomelo (love this one as well) Highly recommend trying this! read more
