    Beef soup

I ordered the beef soup in clear brow. The soup was OK, but nothing great. The noodles were decent but a little doughy. The beef was fatty and I couldn't eat it. The broth is OK but nothing spectacular. The bok choy had no flavor at all. Unsure if I would return.

Is give it 3.5 stars. Ordered the spicy beef soup and the pork and shrimp dumplings in spicy chili oil soup. Neither was very spicy. The beef soup had a sweet taste to it that I didn't particularly like. The meat was soft and flavorful but there were only maybe 4 small pieces. My girlfriend ordered the same soup in clear broth and her meat was fatty. The chili oil soup was a bit too oily. It also lacked flavor. The dumplings were kind of doughy and I did not taste or see shrimp. Overall, the meal was only ok. I would only come back if I was too lazy to go somewhere else in the neighborhood

Why are these noodles cut too short? These noodles are to be served for babies not for adults. What is going on here? They didn't do this before. I am very disappointed. I can barely grabbed it with my chopstick. I need a spoon to basically grab it the hell.

3.5 This location of Kulu/Dumpling town is very accessible by Grand Ave stop train, buses and walking since at the start of Broadway from Queens Boulevard. Street meter parking. Metal bar stool seating by the entrance, booth seating inside. Ordered at the counter and was given a buzzer. We got a table when some people left but tables weren't cleaned in between customers. Restroom available. Took more than 20min for our order, I guess for the dumplings. We got steamed pork and chive with chili oil on the side. Bite-sized, ok snack. The mango pomelo (D) under taro mochi and ice cream came out colorful; shareable size so not bad for the price of about $10. I like mango/mango puree/sago desserts (simple "mango sago" was my go-to at Kulu years ago) so taste-wise was satisfied. I got gummy/chewy from the mochi pieces and soft from the jelly and ripe diced mango. Mochi were in different shades so I thought were different ingredients. I guess I wished for taro pieces or something of that texture. Good place for this type of dessert bec not a lot of similar ones in the area. Check-in on yelp and get 10%. There was a sign but wasn't near where we ordered so didn't see it. And I forgot to check-in anyway (I usually forget) so next time.

The fish dumpling soup here is delicious and filling! They are generous with the cilantro. Happy Yelping!

Still a hit for hubby and I! We were walking around town and decided to get some snowy durian but also ordered their new Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Let me tell you.. we were very surprised it was actually very good!! Ho jia Love their assorted dumplings as well and since they ran outta vanilla ice cream, we subbed the ice cream with Ube and Matcha. Yum!! Give this a try. We will definitely be back

I have not been to Kulu Desserts for some time. They have awesome desserts. Today I wanted to try out their dumplings. As you walk into the establishment, there is a kiosk. Place order and inquired with the cashier how does one know when order is ready. She said they will call you. Friendly, and helpful staff. Took a seat at the booth. The table definitely needed to be wiped down. Checked two other tables and they needed to be wipe down as well. Only one person at register, so do not know how often these tables are maintained. There is a lot of foot traffic later in the afternoon. Here is what we ordered. Pork & Dill- Very flavorful. Will get this one again next time. Pork & Cabbage- Simple and basic. Once dipped in Soy Sauce much more tasty. Only one bathroom. Need to use key.

stopped by after dinner bc i was craving something sweet and was happy with the prices here! they have a lot of options ranging from taiwanese mango sago to hk egg waffles. i opted for the latter and got the ube ube which had fresh mangoes, a not too sweet scoop of ube ice cream, and a warm hk waffle. it wasnt mindblowing but slightly better than my expectations. unfortunately service was pretty slow as the shop seemed understaffed and the seating areas were a bit grimey for my standards and made me want to eat quickly and leave.

Mango pomelo was really good! Not too sweet, with mango chunks, and creamy sago topped with pomelo sacs. Black sugar milk with grass jelly was interesting. Service was ok, I think the cashier was on her own for most of the time we were there? She was also cleaning tables. Courteous and prompt enough when we had to ask her to remove dirty dishes. Good place to have a chat with friends. Comfortable booth seats. (But they don't allow board games.) I had 10% off our order when I checked in on Yelp! 3.5/5

    Beef noodles with clear soup

Place is known for desserts and typically you get desserts here but I came here for beef noodles with clear soup. The place was pretty packed and barely any seating available. I guess it's a popular place. I ordered the noodles using the self kiosk and it came out pretty quick and I didn't have to wait that long. The portion was alright. Noodles were broken and there were just 2 slices of beef. Very little bok choy too. Mostly soup and noodles.

Most tres leches you get are sitting in a moat of condensed milk, topped with unimpressive frosting and sandwiching painfully sweet cake. THIS IS NOT THAT. Their ratio is spot-on. When I tell you that this was THE BEST TRES LECHES CAKE I'VE EVER HAD, I'm not exaggerating. Staff was friendly. And the banana bread? Delicious with a crisp, golden crust. The chocolate cake was straight from the Willy Wonka factory. The pumpkin cheesecake was creamy and delicious. Buttah Bakery may not look like much from the outside, but the treats definitely do not trick!!!! Can't wait to go back.

For a bakery that generates this much interest, the setup feels strangely unfinished. There's nowhere comfortable to sit, nowhere practical to wait when there's a line, product availability is often disappointing, and on top of that the shop closes at 3PM. For many people, that means arriving only to discover limited options or a closed storefront. What makes this especially confusing is that this location is in Ridgewood, a neighborhood already full of strong food and coffee options. Opening a highly anticipated bakery should bring something new and enjoyable to the community. Instead, it feels like customers are expected to adapt to a business model that prioritizes operational convenience over the actual customer experience. Maybe from a business perspective this investment makes sense. But from a customer perspective, the excitement of finally having this bakery in the neighborhood quickly turns into frustration. I wanted to become a regular customer, but every visit feels unnecessarily inconvenient. The products deserve better than the experience surrounding them.
