Today Hugo came out to clean our roof. We live in Fillmore & have a TERRIBLE pigeon problem in our neighborhood. Our roof looked like a poop war zone. After receiving several quotes in the four digit range, we got really discouraged about finding affordable help. Hugo to the rescue! Here's some of the great things about his service: 1. He picked up my initial call, asked for my address & provided a quote in a timely manner. 2. He showed up when he said he'd be here (maybe even 5 minutes early). 3. He communicated throughout the service, even texting some pictures. 4. When power washing our roof resulted in a huge amount of debris going into the neighbor's yard, Hugo power washed their backyard & driveway AND cleaned the windows that got splattered. 5. He power washed my backyard furniture , walkways & driveway. 6. I text to ask if he could clean an unrelated stain on the front side of the house & he immediately responded "no problem." Nice guy and reasonably priced but that's where it ends...I'm sorry, no customer should have to worry about constantly keeping a hired hand enthused enough to actually finish the entire job they 100% agreed to. But as if that isn't bad enough already, for me none of that even worked because in the end, this guy still ditched the job when I had to step out from babysitting him for a mere 15 min. To begin with, although I had warned 524 Pressure Washing at least 2-3 times about a couple of my windows being over a hill along with needing both sides of my skylights cleaned (to which he insisted he could do, no problem), halfway thru the job he still began telling me he lol "didn't realize there were windows over a hill" & "didn't know about the skylight" & also had not brought his ladder. I was a bit upset at hearing this but I managed to convince him to come back on another day to do the more difficult windows. He only charged me for the windows he had done that day, which looked pretty good. He didn't get back to me again until a week to a week & a half later to do the rest. That was ok with me tho, as I was just grateful he called back at all. He did one of the two windows over the hill beautifully and the inside & outside of my skylights but informed me he now couldn't do the last small window over the hill due to the screen being screwed shut from the inside. I immediately got nervous again bc I'm getting ready to sell my home & already doing so much work bymyself & now this guy was always becoming disuaded too easily. Like why couldn't he just come inside and open the screen or or ask me for a screwdriver, etc? I informed him it was a casement window & all we had to do was pull it open from the inside & then he could clean it while inside air conditioning comfort. At this, however he did not reply. I tried again while standing right beside him but he continued cleaning the skylight. So since I knew he must've heard me, I figured I'd wait to tell him a third time when he gets done with the skylights & decided it was a good time to run out to feed my horse. I told him I would return within 15 min & he said that was fine. But when I returned mins later, he had already loaded up his ladder, all his equipment and his truck WAS GONE. Had he planned to leave as soon as I was out or just what was going on? I checked my phone & he had left me a text. In it, he apologized, saying he had to leave & was not able to do the last window & so he had taken $25 off the bill & can I pay him. But I didn't want $25, I needed all of the windows done! What could I do now, call another service to do just one really small window? I tried to explain once again how I had told him I'd opened up the casement window for him, to which he now suddenly changed it up and said he had to leave due to "a family emergency". So I asked him why he didn't tell me that beforehand & then we could reschedule later since I of course wouldn't have been upset about a family emergency. But he never offered to reschedule. That is the point. He only replied that he "was sorry for the confusion" but there "hadn't been time to talk" and to "please pay him thru Zelle". But interestingly, he did seem to have had enough time to right then repeatedly text me back & forth about paying him, but not enough time to call me real quick & tell me he had to go. He just didn't want to do much is my feeling. Each time, it seemed to me that he wanted to do just enough to get some money & then find a reason to not finish. From the first day, I felt like I had to keep convincing him to please do the entire job he had agreed to do, which is even worse when one considers how in the beginning I had told him how I had previously had another window-cleaning business leave in the middle of a job & to tell me he wouldn't do that to me & to tell me he was sure he could handle my windows, to which he said something like "yes he could" and "no he wouldn't do that to me." But then he did do that....twice. He had wholeheartedly agreed to this job, warts and all, yet was constantly deterred by things like screws or things he already said he was able to tackle. Anyway, I ended up cleaning that last window myself and tho it was not too difficult, that's not the point, right? read more

We have not had a washing service for our windows. That being said, when Hugo came in to clean the windows in our house, the windows were pretty filthy (as seen below). Needless to say he did an excellent job and we are glad we trusted Hugo with our needs. We plan to be a regular client for his window washing service so that our windows stay squeaky clean! We are planning to add solar panel cleaning as well. I noticed he also cleaned our glass table outside and my big mirror-- something he was easily willing to spend his time cleaning even though I hadn't mentioned it. When selling my house I needed window cleaning. Hugo was quick to respond. He was very professional and answered all my questions and made the process easy when scheduling an appointment.
