    Clothes for Labubu
    Kara S.

I will be honest in telling you that I haven't tried the entertainment services this place offers. What I do go here for is their Popmart items. IYKYK. Popmart collectibles are hot especially in Asia. Went to the Philippines in November and most of the Labubus were sold out. Well, this place has a wide selection of Popmart items that they offer. I lucked out here more than once. Their pricing is pretty reasonable and exceptional service. My next review will be when I finally try the tufting

I had a great experience but while I was talking to another customer, they told me that there's a male employee who is very rude. Tonight it was a female employee and she was very nice. I got my very first labubu here. They make you buy 2 blind boxes when you buy a labubu so I picked the Disney blind boxes which are super cute as well. I got Donald duck and tinker bell. Theyre hella cute too!!! I saw all hello kitty outfit I am going to go back for, if I run into the male employee and he's rude, ill just leave. I know they sell sanrio outfits in Korea town so I can make the trek out there.

528 is a hidden gem located in Monterey Park. They carry officially licensed Pop Mart products at retail, not resale prices. I ended up getting myself a Dimoo World X Disney Vinyl plush. Service here is friendly, but the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is that I had to buy an additional figure in order to get the vinyl plush I wanted which added an extra $16 dollars I could have used for something else.

Went here on a Saturday - originally went on a Tuesday and they were closed . So I had to call before coming today. They have limited labubu and ofcourse they sell more expensive and there are some rules. I was going to buy a labubu doll that was priced at $40 but they want me to buy 2 blind boxes for me to be able to buy it. I ended up buying the bag instead . The clothes for Labubu are limited and not so nice. Definitely worth checking out the store if you are into popmart. I checked and they are authentic . I gave 4 stars because of the too many rules to buy from them.

I went over the weekend for a rug tufting session. I was lucky enough to have Jose as my teacher/guide and he made the entire 4 hours fun! I really got a lot out of the lesson and being there inspired something in me. I can't wait to go back and try a bigger size. I did a small since it was my first time and it was worth the price.

Had an overall greatttt rug making experience with 528 entertainment! We made an appointment in advance on their website. If you are making the appt for more than 1 person, which is very likely, you just need to reserve one time slot and let them know how many people are coming. The place has many rooms and we got placed in the one in the back close to where all the yarns were. we were the only ones there for rug-making. our instructor was very attentive and thorough with instructions! Expect to spend at least 2-3 hrs, there was 3 parts to the whole process and could take more time the more people your group has. my bf and i needed at least 3 hrs but we did take our time with the yarn part. We spent about $200 on two small rugs - it does seem expensive but for something customized and memorable experience, I'd say it was worth it!

The store is located right next to Sunmerry and is part of the same plaza with Atlantic Dim Sum. Lots of parking available! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were running late by 30 minutes and it wasn't an issue. Throughout our time, staff constantly checked over our progress to make sure we were doing okay. The shop has multiple rooms and my room fit around 8 people to rug tuft together. The steps to rug tuft are: 1. Draw your rug design (have a photo on your phone and they use a device to project it onto your screen for easy drawing!). 2. Staff will teach you how to use the tufting gun in the front. 3. You will go back to your room and start tufting. 4. Once done, you'll go to a separate room where you'll apply the backing and shave the rug. For the medium rug, it took us over 5 hours to complete, more than the typical 4 hour timeframe noted on the website. Probably a mix of it being busy (weekend time) and having to wait for equipment (only two rug shavers available) + inexperience. However, the staff wasn't forcing us to leave by a certain time or anything! It was very much a maker's space and it didn't feel intimidating or rushed. The atmosphere is very casual and lax. During the session, I got boba and pastries from Sunmerry because I started getting hungry. It didn't seem like an issue with staff. You pay at the end! All in all, I would recommend this place to friends wanting to do a cool activity or even as a date (probably not a first or second date though). The only cons I'd say would be the limited yarn colors (not many pastel colors! See photo) and limited rug shavers.

My friends and I had such a fun time tufting! I checked out some other places closer to me since I had such a good time, and 528 Entertainment is BY FAR the greatest deal. No one else was there for a long period of time while my friends and I were, but they do have a few rooms so you and your party can all be together in one space. You should definitely come with your own design, or at least an idea of what you want to do. The guys there were very helpful in letting us know whether an image would work or not. They did a quick, but thorough tutorial with the tufting guns, which we were all a bit nervous about, but they assured us you can't really mess it up. I was surprised by how long my tiny rug took, but with the combo of friends and a bluetooth speaker (provided by the business), the time really flew. After you're finished tufting, there are a couple more steps with the backing before you've got a finished product, but it's pretty fast after that. We were there a total of about 4 hours for mini (14x14) and small (18x18) size rugs. I will definitely do this again and would recommend for a fun daytime activity.

Hands down the most affordable place for tufting in the area! I've been twice because it's such a fun activity! Both times I got a medium sized rug for $118. It was pretty empty both times I've went and you get your own room. The reservation says 4 hours but we stayed for double that time. The workers are very nice and helpful. They'll teach you how to use the gun and help with any errors you might make. They have a huge assortment of yarn colors as well. Great experience!

I went there to do tufting and a staff called Tino helped me, he was really patient and helpful throughout the experience, definitely would go again. They also have a good selection of popmart blind boxes there, selling same as original price. Definitely worth a chexk out and find Tino to help you if he is there.

Very good experience and great staff. Best price for rug making we could find. Jose and Rodrigo were very helpful.

This store has lots of cute little items like Pop Mart and Labubu!! The staff is really nice and gives very detailed introductions!

Such a fun experience. We booked an appointment to make 2 medium ($118 each) and 1 mini ($75) sized rugs and took around an afternoon to complete the medium sized with a slightly more complicated design. Very tiring. Tests grip + arm strength.

Gradually my son would come home sad and upset. At first, I brushed off his complaints as maybe he just had a random rough day. Today, I picked up my son and Ms. Billy complained about his projects and all kinds of stuff right in front of my son. My son came to the car crying feeling terrible about his artwork. I asked him several questions about what happened as I didn't want to make any rash judgements about the teacher. He explained that he felt that Ms. Billie was being mean to him and that he was really struggling with clay (it's a new skill for him). I asked if she helps him with his clay a little extra since he's obviously struggling more than the rest of the more experienced students (I'd think she'd spend a little extra time with him). He said no - she was drinking tea and when she came back he had made a snail project where its tongue broke off and couldn't put it back on. He said he destroyed it and my son said she made another mean comment to him: "ohh so you're breaking stuff, instead of making stuff". He was struggling to put on the tongue, which you didn't help him with. Ms. Billy told me it was Gary the snail which didn't go with the CA theme they're working on. Ok. My question is: how is one of your struggling students able to make an entire snail project without you noticing until he's that far along with it? Then, the tongue falls ogf of it, you make a comment to him about it being wrong, he destroys it, you make another comment to him about him about breaking things instead of making things. Ok. If she's going to drink tea instead of helping struggling students then she shouldn't be surprised about them struggling. He said she was helping the other students - not him so much. He also said he got up to grab a toothpick, and she said to him "you're disrupting the entire class" and he was embarrassed that all the kids stared at him. He wasn't being defiant but she keeps treating him as if he is. My son said he was really surprised at how mean Ms. Billy was treating him - he genuinely didn't know he was doing anything wrong, She did sound agitated when she was complaining to me about my son. I know my son - he's not a bad kid and he's super kind. I'm not just saying that because he's my son. He truly is. I'm the type of person that takes criticism well and I'm happy to help correct behavior when necessary. In this case, I really feel that Ms. Billy is not spending enough time with struggling students - in my sons case not understanding instructions according to her. I didn't appreciate her putting my son down in front of both my husband and I. Ms. Billy made it sound as if my son was being defiant - I can assure you my son is not defiant - he genuinely is just having a hard time with the project! He's asking for help from his teacher in his own 8 year old way. He just turned 8 by the way. Mrs. Elizabeth in the front is amazing on the other hand! Very helpful and kind lady.

The teachers here are incredible and create such a warm environment and sense of safety where children create and learn to their full capacities. I appreciate Ruby Hannan, Anayantzin Sanchez, and Billie Frolov who have all guided our kids in various classes & camps including Claymation, Make Your Own Stuffie, Mini Makers, and Youth Lessons. We've also been to some cool events here for children, our favorite being when they invited the animators from the new Ninja Turtles movie/Mitchell's Vs. the Machines to come talk to the students and show them people can become animators when they grow up! Truly an inspiring place where children come to explore and create their own art. So thankful to have found this studio! *also editing my review to add that I specialize in a field of child development & communication; I respectfully disagree with the parents below who claim this place is merely a bunch of babysitters or that their children didn't learn anything during their time here. I've been so impressed the way the educators here scaffold the summer camp in a way that the older kids are making Claymation videos or sewing stuffies alongside the younger ones. No one is so frustrated that they can't participate and at the same time these kids are challenged!! My children had increases in their artistic abilities, social skills, vocabulary, fine motor skills, ability to use technology to create art, and I would go so far as to say even their overall self esteem, as the final art show is truly a special time for families to come together and celebrate what these children have created with the guidance of some awesome instructors. Sorry, but I could go on! The only time I've ever seen the tv on at Art/Work/Place was during the gorgeous, hilarious, magical Claymation Camp viewing party a year ago and the time the Ninja Turtles animators used it to show us some clips from a movie they made. Again, context matters.... Let your kids give them a try and decide for yourself :)
