Especially the guy working there with the gray/white hair was orchestrating all of the employees around. Another reviewer mentioned this and yes there is a strong atmosphere of intolerance, paranoia, judgement and deeper under lining issues. I was standing in line behind a gentleman and when it was my turn at the counter, the guy with the gray/white hair told the lady working the counter to leave the counter and told another lady to come check me out which was odd and he had a very nasty look on his face. Then the lady at the counter asked me if I had a membership and I said no, She then says "ok don't worry we are not pushy" and then proceeds to laugh and say "at least I don't think so". They know exactly what they are doing. If a spiritual store is worried about people stealing or whatever then they you are NOT the real deal and it is a reflection of who they are and what they are actually doing. If you are alarmed or uncomfortable by a women of color coming into your shop while your shop is named Goddess/Isis you should NOT be in business! This place is not sacred or safe. Buy your stuff online or go to a place with integrity, a place that has respect and honors spirituality and people, all people. Avoid this place and do not support this business.

Just because a person comes from a "highly attuned spiritual family" doesn't mean they're also highly spiritually attuned -- that's like saying "she comes from a highly musical family" but she can't carry a tune or keep the beat. (I myself come from an *extremely* Christian family -- Bible Belt! -- but I have since learned the truth about that religion and am no longer the slightest bit Christian nor will I ever be again.) As I said, both my husband and I are *extremely* intuitive and can sense people's energy, and the energy we get from this man is "used car salesman" with not a shred of spirituality. In any case, his pushy car-salesman attitude was the real issue. That said, my husband and I did stop by the Youngfield store a couple days ago, and although we didn't encounter "Mr Mask" (and mask or not, the attitude was the problem) the lady at the register was also very "car-lot sales-y", listing off all the things on sale, the readings going on that day, etc. While some might find that helpful, we found it rather off-putting, as we had come in for a specific purpose, not a 3-minute sales pitch. There is nothing wrong with welcoming customers in and saying, "If you need any help just let us know." (Ashley at the 44th Ave location got this right, every time!) But the pushy attitude we've repeatedly encountered makes us reluctant to shop here.

My beloved gold bangle was in need of polishing and regroving of the lines etched in. 3. I wanted a custom made Cross & bead gold bracelet that I had I my mind. Nobody makes them. Lastly I had a bag of gold rings to sell. I wanted to say that EVERY EMPLOYEE was beyond polite and professional. They listened to every one of my 'ask's' and immediately said yes. They told me to give them a couple of days on the design for the new bracelet for my approval. When I received their ideas, it was exactly what I wanted. A week later my bangle and my bracelet were shortened perfectly. Two weeks later my cross bracelet arrived. Unfortunately, I damaged the clasp the first week. (I am EXTREMELY HARD ON JEWELRY) We took it back in to be repaired. I just picked it up. They put on a heavy duty clasp at my request. I went to pay and they didn't charge me. You can tell that the staff and owner put a lot of love into growing the highest quality selection. The staff is very friendly and they were putting their hearts into getting plants out. It was near closing time on a Saturday but they were so motivated and happy. I got a fairly priced peony and some pansies and will enjoy planting them today.

Dave drove to Evergreen, so beautiful and mostly everything was closed. I stumbled upon JP Total Farmer Market using my trusty Yelp App. They were open until 7:00 and I figured we could get some local peaches and maybe a pie. So we parked the RV in the lot and Dave said let's take Freckles with us. So we entered this eclectic Farmer's Market where there were four inviting rocking chairs at the entrance. Dave went ahead and the owner went crazy over Freckles. They were like if you didn't bring her in we would be sad because we love dogs! It's like Freckles knew it too-she was so well behaved and she got some nice dog biscuits from the lady and ate them immediately! Dave bought a beautiful cherry pie that is homemade and ready to bake. I got a few humongous peaches that were so perfect and grown in Colorado. We talked and they had vacationed regularly on Ft. Meyers Beach until Ian did a number on it! It was so nice to meet these ladies who made us feel so comfortable! If I were a little younger I might consider moving to this inviting city! The hubby and I hit up a vinyl display in the middle of the market place where he purchased two new vinyls: Fred Again and Turnstile. Iykyk. While he was shopping for music, I went inside a boutique store and bought myself a cute romper! We also had an epic biscuit breakfast at Denver Biscuit Co., located inside. Highly recommend. There's also a ton of stores that sell Denver merchandise if you're looking for souvenirs. There's a lot to do and explore here. You can easily spend a couple of hours walking around and having a bite to eat. We were on a time crunch and didn't get to see everything. I'd totally come back and bring more friends here!

this awesome guy at 5280 Crystals, he had a Hamsa necklace around his neck and long blonde hair, square glasses and called us "friend". I hope both sides of his pillow are cold for the rest of his life. so helpful and gave us so much information about the products. We talked to him for a while and had a great conversation about Colorado and all its little goodies. Didn't catch his name but will definitely be going to this shop when I come back to Colorado. What an incredible rock and gemstone place this is. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how wonderful it smelled. The incense they were burning was incredible. The store is immaculate, dusted, vacuumed and maintained. The staff, especially, Dave, were amazing. Dave helped me shop for certain rocks to fill small jars I was giving away as gifts. They have an incredible selection and the prices were very reasonable. I spent about 45 minutes in the store and enjoyed every second of it. I will be returning very soon to pick up some other items. There is simple and readily accessible parking and it's in a good area of town. I highly recommend this small business.

I only go to Desert Gems once in a while, and pretty much every time I go, I'm reminded *why* I…read moredon't go there. They have an "okay" selection of gems/crystals, but they're way overpriced. Only recently have I gotten into making my own knitting stitch markers, which require beads, wire, tools, etc. I checked here for a 1-Step Looper; nope, sold out. Back to Amazon I go. Beads seem outrageously overpriced, so it's rare I buy any beads here. Yesterday my husband and I went in to look at some of the crystals/rocks they have, and my husband asked about a particular stone of which they had a couple spheres and an egg-shape. The very hippie older man had no idea what the stone was, so he asked the only other employee working that day, but she didn't know either. She "thought" it was "Tarzanite, from Peru." One of the spheres had a sticker that said Peru, but no other information was available. Three of us searching on Google turned up nothing, except some photos of "Tarzanite" (which the search usually changed to "Tanzanite," which was clearly not this stone), but the photos didn't match the stone we were looking at. Not very helpful if you're selling a stone but don't even know what it is. Meanwhile, I was browsing around the shop and the older hippie man kept aggressively trying to sell me on various things, without even asking what I might be looking for or what type of project I was working on. I'd already told him I was just browsing, but he kept pointing out things like, "This wall is our larger-hole beads!" and stuff like that, when I have no interest in "larger hole beads" (as I said, I occasionally make myself knitting stitch markers, which have to be SMALL and lightweight, otherwise they will be too heavy and create hand strain). I don't make jewelry, so nearly everything he was pointing out -- i.e. aggressively trying to sell me -- was of no interest or use to me whatsoever. The hippie vibe was a bit too much for me, though some people may like that. Also, the shop reeked of strong incense -- both my husband and I are highly allergic to fragrances/smells, so we couldn't stay long. Why don't shops realize that some people cannot tolerate strong smells? They can even set off asthma attacks in some asthmatics (scents are banned on Montreal metro trains for that reason), and for others of us they can trigger severe migraines that last for days. At least neither of the employees were wearing masks, which was a relief. (I am autistic and have mask trauma from childhood, so those still wearing masks in 2024 I cannot deal with and have to take my business elsewhere.) In the end, we left the shop without buying anything and it will be a while before we go back, if ever. p.s. My husband took a photo of the sphere he was interested in and we went back to Mountain Mineral Market on Kipling, to ask Benjamin, who has a degree in geology, if he knew what it was. The photo wasn't quite enough to identify it, but he said it was definitely *not* "Tarzanite".
