Three separate concrete contractors have seen the work in person, and one has seen pictures via email, and all four are not only appalled by the work they saw. The steps are so far out of code it's beyond rational, not to mention the edge is so dangerously warped, it causes you to feel like you are going to fell when your ankle rolls left and right, depending on where you step. As the economy took a turn, we openly discussed cancelling the contract with Tom but he decided to cancel it first. Tom returned $5,600 of the deposit and kept the remaining amount. We have asked him multiple times for proof of how he spent our money. He cannot furnish anything but the bid for the job and few plans he created. We have tried to resolve this with Tom for months and now he is not answering us. We contacted a lawyer that furnished a letter requesting the money but still nothing from Tom. You know how it is when you're searching for someone honest to work with, well we lucked out and found Casey and Mike! I have become handicapped to where I cannot climb our stairs and our son-in-law and my husband came up with an idea to add a walk-in shower in our half bath downstairs for me. The project management was excellent! Casey oversaw everything and was here every day along with Mike working hard. Casey arranged the plumber and the electrician who were also awesome, and the work was done on schedule.
