The salon was clean and staff were nice. However, my dip manicure was chilling within two days of reviving it. The tech was working very quickly and I don't feel enough coats were applied. Within a week, 5 of my nails had broken. read more

welll.. let's start with the service, i got a full set and a gel pedicure (she did not really give me the option of regular polish and just kept pushing for how gel would look so much better to the point i felt as if i couldn't say no) which gel alone was an extra $18, that she didn't tell me about as she was telling me how much better it would look. She skipped 1/2 the steps that I normally get during a pedicure, like barely put lotion on my feet... and if you are an ingrown toenail person definitely skip this place. Then my full set (which had a design so i'm not as upset with the price but am used to paying around $60-$70) but was an average full set i didn't get crazy but that was $96. Total for both services I paid $176... a pedicure and a set... They did not have any prices anywhere saying how much anything was going to be. I will not be going back to this place because that is just robbery. If you are going to charge that much for your AVERAGE service at least have the decency to tell your customers beforehand so they know what they are expecting. I came to yelp to find a place to do my nails and I am hoping i deter you from making the same mistake I did. Also completely forgot to add if you want to save 4 HOURS of your life, go somewhere else! because that's how long it took them. Also there was a lady that came in as I was finishing my set saying how her nails broke off in the first week and were chipping, she just wanted them removed because they didn't do a good job and "didn't look right" as she put it.... they charged her to take them off LOL this place is a scam!! read more

Tam did a fantastic job with my nails! She was very nice, and asked me great questions on the specifics of the look I wanted (length, size, style, etc.). She did an excellent ombré on my nails and I would definitely recommend her to anyone! Everyone in the place was kind and welcoming, and temperature checks and hand sanitation was required (thankfully). Please don't hesitate to check this place out for acrylics. read more

Phoebe is the best nail tech that I've ever had in all of Denver. I've been to about 40 nails salons and have had at least 100 different techs do my nails over the years. No one compares to her gel manicures! They are flawless plus she's a sweetheart! I'm picky about my nails and I've never had one complaint in the 8 months that I've been going to her. The owner keeps his shop clean and is attentive which is great also! UPDATE: Phoebe was great but I knew she was moving so I tried someone new. Chi at 5280 is a perfectionist!! She's the only girl I trust to do my nails now. Her edges couldn't be cleaner and she doesn't have to clean them up after, she gets it right the first time. She just does an amazing job! She doesn't make the shellac too thick and trims the cuticles perfectly. (without OVER trimming which is so annoying and too many techs have done in the past!) It's worth every penny and extra mile of driving to have her do my nails! No one else in Denver that I've had before compares! Thanks Chi!! read more

I had a fabulous experience at this salon. I just moved to Denver and desperately needed to find a place who does powder dip correctly. After reading a few reviews I decided to check it out. I went to Ry (spelling) who is AMAZING. Her technique is perfect and she's also extremely nice and knowledgeable. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the price. In Chicago and Dallas where I've lived it's only $35-$40 for powder dip. Here it was $55 (not including tip) I am sure I'll return at some point because she was so great but the price is rather steep! read more

First time here and my experience was more costly and less quality than I've experienced elsewhere. The initial filing to remove my existing shellac actually hurt as the tech filed over my cuticles pretty good on my pinky finger - ouch. Just rushed seemingly and maybe not as thorough as I've had elsewhere. My manicure is ok- my cuticles weren't pushed back and the shaping is all off. Square nails here and there and round elsewhere- I asked for round. The little bowl of water I soaked my hands in was cold which wasn't very pleasant. My polish is bubbly in spots and chipping already unfortunately. read more

Photos speak for themselves. I complained to hostess who said sorry and charged me full price for pedicure/manicure service. Manager standing there said and did nothing. I had to ask for a re-do of the polish and filing as I had many hang nails, chips and uneven (manicurist filed too short and no smooth edges). Had an appointment, waited 30 mins at which time pedicure only was done. Ok job on pedicure, finally after over an hour manicurist showed up and did a rush job, only a few minutes... about 5 or 10... she disappeared in between. She selected the brand & color for me after not wanting to do a French and said it was quicker me not getting up from the chair. She applied 2 coats and walked me to the dryer and applied too much of the top coat at the dryer station even though I had been sitting at chair for an hour and a half waiting for her. Didn't even apply the oil and lotion that is normally included. The have been going here since previous management and under new management but it's going down hill fast! I normally pay $100 for the shellac mani, classic pedicure and tip. I've been cut and getting awful polish & cuticle trim and no callous smoothing. Last shellac my nails were ruined from over buffing my natural nails. Asia from everything was dirty. I'm Starting to question whether these technicians are even licensed! After completing to manager (owner?) he told cashier to take off $5 because there was a line behind me. I will never get thus time back but to mentioned these were not the nails I was hoping for my special event! Beware! read more

The salon is clean and very organized, even the polishes are in order. They have diverse clients. Appointments start on time and staff seems to have a smooth process. I asked for my water to be hotter but at best ot was lukewarm. The massage was perfect. Agter each use the clean the machine and the tools are packed in sterilized packages. My daughter's tech was not as good as my she seemed rough and lacked providing the things that you go to get a pedi for tlc. read more

Sammie was great! This was my first time visiting and she did a wonderful job on my nails. I'm pretty particular with manis, and like anyone, I like when the polish is as close to the cuticle as possible since my nails grow so quickly. Sammie did just that! read more

To be honest I don't think this place gets a star, I paid a good amount for my nails, for what to fall off the next day and not even a week later to have one pop off! I came in with 5 other ladies for gel manicures, regular manicures and pedicures in preparation for my wedding. Booking with 5280 was very straightforward, and due to the size of my group, I had to pay a deposit, which I was fine with. It was returned to me after my service. When we walked in, the team was ready and waiting for us and completed our manicures and pedicures at the same time. Everyone's nails looked great and all the staff we interacted with were incredibly kind. 5280 isn't my normal nail place, but it might just be now! read more

Aweful. If you go here, make sure you get someone who speaks english. Wasted time and money. Now going someplace to get my SNS redone and spend monet **Response. I did talk with management several times throughout my terrible experience and also at the end. She offered 20% off and my bill still came to $88. The nail tech tried talking off my liquid hard gel nails with acetone...I told her no one has ever done that. She kept trying over and over. Management said that us the only healthy way to take off. She kept trying until s nail tech who knew what liquid hard gel was, said she had to grind it off. Exactly what I said. I'm sorry, but I can't recommend this place and won't return. read more

This place is amazing! I called this morning and made an appt for a basic manicure and a deluxe pedicure for this afternoon. Walked in about 15 minutes early assuming I'd just wait but was pleasantly surprised that they were able to go ahead take me, awesome. Mimi did my deluxe pedicure and Van did my manicure and I couldn't recommend them more. I don't get pedicures often...maybe 4 times a year, so my feet needed a little extra and Mimi did amazing work! Both ladies were super nice as was everyone who worked there. I'd highly recommend this place. Also, if you're looking to have an SNS dipping powder manicure (I didn't get one) but I saw others who did and they looked incredible. read more

Had my first dip powder session yesterday with Lan. I asked for a natural looking, almond, French tip and she delivered exactly that. I am very impressed and will stick with SNS from now on. I also want to recognize the staff - great customer service, I was checked on often by the very friendly receptionist. Side note: I was given a different artist (Lan) because the first tech who took me back wasn't fully comfortable doing this style and wanted to make sure I got what I came for. I SO APPRECIATE this transparency. Finally have to say pricing is super reasonable! I paid 120 (before tip) for a gel set nearly identical to this in a small town in Washington state; I was charged $75 for this set, which made room for a well deserved and hearty tip for Lan. I have had a number of acrylic refills with gel polish over the last 2 months here. Up until today I was very pleased with the service I received- they were always friendly and did high quality work. Today I arrived 5 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time of 5:30pm. I am a regular customer that comes in every 2 weeks for an acrylic refill with gel polish. They seated me and kept me waiting until after 6pm at which point they told me it would be another 10 minutes. I was put off by the lack of consideration for my time. She comes back shortly to tell me it would be an ADDITIONAL 45 minutes until they could get to me because they didn't schedule enough time to do nail art for another customer they were currently working on. Having already waited 45 minutes past my appointment, I was unwilling to wait an ADDITIONAL 45 minutes to get my scheduled service. I would feel differently if the staff was apologetic and showed consideration for my time. I will not be returning and they have lost a regular customer. Two weeks later and my shellac is still looking good! I was in a bind and needed my nails done stat. After getting turned away somewhere else, I decided to try 5280 Nails. Thankfully, they had plenty of staff on hand and we got started right away. I wish I would've gotten the name of my manicurist because she was so sweet and friendly. The price point is competitive and they have a wide variety of colors to choose from. Long story short, I'd definitely come back when my nails are in need! read more

I went to this business on May 31 and I've been there two weeks before that. During that time of the two weeks, two of my dips had fallen off, so I went back to get the dips redone and a pedicure. I picked out the color to be the same as my toenails, but it was not, so when I went and paid the bill and talk to the manager, she said she would give me 10% off of a $113 bill, but she only end up giving me 5 dollars off for the wrong color on my fingernails THAT DON'T MATCH my toenails! This is a rotten business and I will not use them again. read more

I so badly wanted to give 5280 Nails and Spa five stars, but unfortunately my last experience was sub par. The first time I went, at the end of my services, my feet, hands, every cuticle and nail, were immaculate. The nails were shaped the way I asked, painted perfectly, my cuticles clipped gently away, all topped off with a massage. It was bliss. Unfortunately, the last time I went was not as so heavenly. It was rushed, and frustrating. Stressful even. I came away with wonky toe nails, cut too short, with a decent gel polish job. I did get a foot scrub and a leg massage, but it lasted about two seconds. The girl who provided my service seemed bored and just in a rush to get things over with. In the middle of my pedicure, my nail technician finished up with his last client. He came over and, long story short, did an okay job. I showed him a picture of the nail shape I wanted and he just looked confused. Then, he started filing my nails in to a completely different shape. I asked him to make them look natural and he said they did. Then, he moved on to the next step. When all the structural work was done, I asked if he could help me find a nude polish in gel or shellac and he just nodded at me. He had no idea what I was saying and I had no idea what to do, so I just kept my mouth shut and let him start painting my nails. He did an okay job, but the polish didn't reach the cuticles on some nails. There were also little bubbles in the paint when the nails dried. (Also, he didn't cut my cuticles and the powder acrylic he used to shape the nail (over the nail bed and plastic tip) was way too thick. Also, they don't take AMEX. I felt stupid for not carrying cash (even though I had just gone in on a whim, so it was unplanned), and when I told the receptionist that was my only card, I felt terrible about it as she fumbled to find words. I held my hands up in the air, in an act of surrender to the universe, and told her I would have my boyfriend pick me up, so he could bring me cash. I feel like an a**hole posting all this because they were all so nice. I didn't complain and gave a good tip. I'm just so frustrated with nails salons in Denver. They need to slow down, pay attention to what the client is asking for, and make sure that everything they are doing is their best. Because they are so so nice and would do so much better if they could just do that. So thanks 5280, but I'm moving on. read more

I came here a few weeks ago since my friend knows the owner. I'm not writing this review because of that, it's because of the FABULOUS colors they have!! The whole wall is full of essie's newest colors! Even their gel manicure colors are varied and on trend! The pedicure massage chairs are gasmic! They even offer shellac and pretty soon: HAIR DOS! Parking is hit or miss. It's right off Colorado and although I've never had any problems finding a spot, I hate exiting it! They even take walk ins! read more

Hi there! I've been going elsewhere to get SNS nails done and they always break within a week. I wanted to ask if yours last longer. I'm a chiropractor so I use my hands a lot but I haven't had this problem before. Could it be something I'm doing?

The service here has always been stellar, and in a COVID-19 world it's no different. Upon arrival, clients should either text Tonie or call the front desk number that is posted on the door. When Tonie is ready, she will escort you back to her salon. She's allowing time in between clients to ensure proper cleaning. And of course, everyone needs to wear masks. All I can say is WOW!…read more I have never been this comfortable or relaxed while getting lash extensions. Usually it's an uncomfy experience that I dread as it comes up, but love for the results - in this case, I loved the process AND the results! She was so lovely and I've genuinely never had a better application. I could barely feel her put the lashes on - she was so careful and meticulous! She made sure to straighten out the lashes I had on and I really appreciate the care and detail she put into the service. Overall it was just a wonderful experience and I'm so glad to have found this studio and look forward to coming here from now on. She also waxed eyebrows and did a great job! Take your money to someone who actually knows what they are doing and isn't trying to make a buck…read moreby performing amateur work on unknowing and vulnerable people. Don't be fooled by the many before and after pics this guy posts. My eyebrows look like a child's sketch with uneven, thick and sloppy lines! Like many other reviews, I was pushed to do the "micro needling" instead of the microblading and what I have interpret this to mean is a tattoo machine with a regular size tattoo needle and a hand drawn pen like stroke (see my pictures). I don't believe that he actually uses a microneedle because of how awful the lines came out. The pain was ridiculous! I was knees to chest practically crying during the whole awful 20 minutes. When I asked about how bad it was hurting he told me that for my next appointment I could buy a numbing cream from Amazon. Why he doesn't have the cream already is beyond me but it's a pretty good indicator of what a poor setup he has scraped together. After months of drawing and covering up this hack job I'm finally going a laser removal clinic that I was told about by a friend. I didn't know this was an option and am so grateful that "permanent" make up is no longer permanent. He tried really hard before the appointment to get me to purchase my follow up appointments beforehand. DONT DO IT because you will likely hate the end result and he didn't strike me as the type of person to give you a refund- even if you are unhappy with the work.
