[[HIGHLIGHT]]I've been here several times and the experience is always chaotic. It's cramped, noisy, and often the staff switch off who is working on you without warning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since beginning to go there, my nails have grown increasingly frail and break easily. I have realized it's because they are in such a hurry to get people in and out of the door that they scraped the keratin off my nails while removing the color. They use the Dremel to remove the color before and after the polish remover. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They send out text messages for specials, but unless you mention them, you won't get them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You should also check their math when they add and give back change. I caught them in a $10 mistake (my favor). read more

Went there twice for a manicure. The customer service and quality of manicures (natural nails) is too inconsistent to make the low prices worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Visit 1: I requested a gel manicure. The nail technician insisted I get "dip" to "strengthen" my nails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I figured, why not, it had been awhile since I got my nails done. The original dip powder container was used (not ideal but it's so common I didn't care). The technician was pretty detailed and made sure the dip polish was thinned with her dremel tool, my nails looked good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Visit 2: original nail technician wasn't there and I asked for gel and once again pressured into dip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I requested a Jean blue for my nails, they didn't carry it and was given a significant darker shade but it wasn't horrible. I asked for cateye nails, and was informed that wasn't available & the salon needs to purchase. What added to the 1 rating: *The manicure was really poorly done by someone who is supposed to be a nail tech. *My nails were left uneven and were not filed. The cuticles were still very noticeable. *The dip powder was not thinned out and looked extremely thick on my nails once done. *[[HIGHLIGHT]]When I sent the nail technician a tip she claimed it had not gone through. So, I tipped again. One of her colleagues came to see what was taking so long as it was near closing time; Turns out my nail tech for this already sad manicure received a $30 tip for horrible nails as she couldn't find a way to refund me my additional money.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I left because I was just so very done with the experience. Thought I would return but I didn't. If you want dip or acrylics with basic options then this would be great for you. If sanitizing items doesn't bother you then this place is for you. The nail tools were not new and were clearly reused on multiple people. The inexpensive services are not worth the inconsistent work done by the technicians at this nail salon. Sad because there is potential for a small business, the employees just don't care about quality of work, it's more so, whether it's done. read more

Nice to have a local nail spot in the little neighborhood pocket of Capitol Hill! Super walkable and near a couple of other bar/restaurants in that little few block radius. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are always a spot to say yes to customers, even when they are busy, they do not want to turn away business.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then it's just up to the particular nail tech you get. I've been pretty satisfied "most" of the time, but not always 100%. I don't like checking people's work when I'm at the salon, so I really just want them to do a good job without me looking... worrying about it. And again, they usually do. One time, though, I had to "clean up" a pedicure, trimming my own nails and hanging skin at home, which I just paid and tipped someone to do this... and another time the chrome polish came off in a couple of days. I went back, they fixed it, but then another nail came off again a short time later. I don't know if this chrome gel option hasn't been perfected enough in general to last long or if it was something they did wrong here, in particular. But, of all the other visits, whatever quantity that is, I've been satisfied and do return. Signed up for the text promos, and that kind of made me mad because then they tried to say that no, I couldn't use the coupon because there was a minimum spend required to use the coupon which was never included in the text promo. Listen, you can't send out coupons to customers and then try to attach side caveats when they show up to give you business in-person. It's a horribly bad business decision to choose to do that to customers, it's like a bait and switch. And in general, just honor your coupons texted -- it's not smart or worth it to try and wiggle out of them. It's not that much money, so just honor your word or simply don't text at all! read more

My boyfriend and I walked in on a Friday afternoon around 330 to this Nail establishment. They were able to accommodate us quickly and put us in a chair each for pedicures and began our manicure and refill while we were getting our pedicure. My boyfriend likes to get color on his toes and typically at other nail salons. He receives a round shape. Here they squared out his shape on his nails, and they look wonderful. We decided to go for a Vail blue for him this time. It typically go with a shade of bread and they have plenty to choose from between the gel colors, the dips and the regular polish. We both got the deluxe pedicure which is $50 each. That's two upgrades from the basic pedicure. The massage with this pedicure was amazing. Both nail techs took their time in carefully delivering the services. It was relaxing from beginning to end. And I can't remember the last time that my nails were pristinely painted. My boyfriend then got an extra oil treatment at the end to help with his dry skin on both his feet and hands. My hands came out beautiful and usually around my cuticles. It still looks a little nicked up by the time I get done. However, today everything was beautifully done with care and comfort. I highly recommend this nail salon. The only drawback that I can see is that in the initial selling of the services, there is an upsell pitch that can go on a little long, but it worked for us. This nail spa is so far the best I have gone to in Capital Hill. There was a guy with frosted hair who did my pedicure, I forgot to ask his name. The woman who did my manicure did a great job and her name is Emma I believe. They both did impressive work. Yesterday I can say I got the best manicure and pedicure of 2022. Simple dark Autumn/Winter colors I asked for. Each of their skills are spectacular! All of my fingernails are even and coffin shaped and my toenails square. The color is perfectly matched. I always get regular polish for my toes and dip for my fingernails. They have a wide selection of dip and gel colors. The shop is clean for the most part and they use clean tools and pedicure bowls. The prices for their treatments are not clearly located but they do list the prices on a promotional card which I forgot to grab as I was leaving. Went in on 9/19 to get a dip manicure with brown French tips. Not even 24 hours later they were chipping, and I needed to return the next day. Pedicure review: I'm not the best person to judge a pedicure as this was where I had my first one ever. But from what I could tell, the service was professional and they seem to know what they're doing. Especially, since I have sensitive feet. I was worried I was going to kick the person massaging my feet in the face. Thankfully, that didn't happen. I assume that's a regular occurrence for them. Manicure review: My girlfriend went to have her nails done after a couple other places failed to do it properly. (Nails would fall off the next day, etc.) It's been over a week now and the nails are still attached! Feels like a new record for her as of late.
