For the first 8 months of my loc journey I took care of my locs because I was wary after all of the horror stories of people dealing with unqualified locticians. My locs were essentially free form. I went to Jhery and told her my regimen and she gave me the SCIENCE of why certain products would not serve me in growing beautiful and healthy locs. 2. I went to Jhery with an unusual request that was out of her comfort zone, I requested that she add hair on my locs so that I could get a desired short term ponytail style and she didn't let me leave until achieved and it was beautiful. 3. 4 days later when I took the ponytail down and I looked at my locs they were gorgeous shiny and had very little frizz (I had never experienced this! It was a Blessing) I am moving to Los Angeles and I wish I could pack Jhery up into my suitcase and take her with me! When I tell y'alli went to this place and Mrs Jhery got me right together!!! I went in expecting it to be like a stereotypical salon with people getting their hair done all around me gossiping but when I went in I was welcomed like family. Talking with Jhery made me feel like we grew up together and I was comfortable enough to just be myself even with her husband that made a cameo. She's the most knowledgeable than I ever knew a person could be about locs. She's kind, caring and considerate as well as affordable and manageable. I came here on yesterday and I must say I will not be going anywhere else. Jhery was so welcoming and genuinely interested in who I was as a person. That alone meant the world! Miss Jhery's overall business is just the best experience. The environment is so welcoming and everyone in there is always having fun. I had dreads for about 2 years but I always had a bunch of loose hairs and my locs would always get messed up easily. But after Jhery started doing my locs they've been in the best condition possible. What she does is absolutely amazing. Jhery is a beast. No matter what kind of hair you have she can lock it up. I had someone else start mine and she had to redo them. I went with the cheaper option (not thinking) and ended up spending more getting them done right. Always remember you get what you pay for, but now I'm good to go.
