I was looking for a framer. I did some research and came across 567. I was happy not to have to trek into NYC. It was a bit hard to find. As,they're located in a historic building. That said,no street signs or awnings, just a building that stretches about a block long. On a positive note there was plenty of parking :) I called up from outside, and was given directions, and the alarm entry code. We were greeted in the hall by Hiro. The trip, and the journey was well worth it. Hiro, was very personable, and quite knowledgeable about his craft. He offered some great advice,and was very accomadating. I expressed a few concerns that i had about the artwork. He immediately remedied my concerns. I was very impressed with the variety of frame options, coupled with the ability to get large format printing done. Overall "winning". I needed a frame last minute for my husband's PhD- it came in a crappy cardboard envelope with dents in it and we couldn't bear it stuck in a drawer in our office after 10 years of work to get it. I started calling places in Park Slope (where we live) and I couldn't find ANYONE even slightly inclined to help me. They basically laughed at me and said there was no way I was going to have it until after Christmas. I understand they are busy but the way they went about saying that to me was snide and rude. I went to Sans framing on 7th ave. and the people there were all sitting around hanging out, eating, etc. and they told me to CUT it to fit in a standard frame so I could just buy one and leave. The guy that measured the diploma scratched it with the metal measuring tape, being careless. Tiny scratch, but still, these are supposed to be professionals. I didn't want anything ornate, just a simple black frame/white matte and the diploma was JUST off a standard size. Something could have been worked out if they cared enough to want my business. Anyway, this review is for 567 Framing- after calling several places I finally talked to Kevin in the Brooklyn Warehouse and he told me to come in- he said that they are busy but if I wanted something simple he could probably do it in a few hours. Williamsburg is a bit of a trek from the Slope but it was WELL worth it. I went into the warehouse and he had a GREAT selection of frames and mattes. After looking for a while he remembered he had a frame he made for a friend that was DESIGNED for an NYU PhD. The matte was white with a trim of NYU purple, black frame with museum quality glass. He grabbed it and I was able to leave with the diploma in the frame within an hour. And what a great guy! I got a fantastic deal and the quality was just phenomenal. Museum glass is AMAZING. A bit more expensive but it looks so good on our wall. No glare, and it will be protected forever. I had such a great experience. He treated me with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I'm thrilled with the frame and anything I need framed in the future will be through this company. read more

I want to add my voice to the chorus here in praise of Hiroki. Not only is his work impeccably good. He is extremely dedicated at making the client happy. Responsive on email, willing to redo work until one is satisfied. One particular piece required creativity. It was essentially a thin metallic plaque that I wanted framed in wood. Paper matting did not work, so Hiroki found a way to center within the frame and hold it there from a surface he created behind. The price was very reasonable and he took little time to do it all. He created a loyal customer in me--I have no doubt that I'll be going back there (trip from Manhattan was so much worth it). Here I wish to recommend that others become customers too. My boyfriend took a beautiful photo of the city skyline from Long Island City and I thought it would be a great idea for me to get it printed out in canvas (black & white) and framed for his birthday. Of course I thought of this idea last minute and started scrambling for how I was going to get it done in time...I found 567 Framing and emailed them to see how much it would cost and if they could expedite my order and have it done in LESS THAN 24 HOURS. I had 24 hours to create a 30th b-day gift for my best friend and I couldn't have done it without the help of Lina and 567 Global. I had 3 images that I needed enlarged, matted and framed. From inception Lina was extremely helpful. We spoke on the phone where I was given very competitive pricing and then I went to the Brooklyn location to select the matting and framing.
