Upon arriving we noticed that they have a private parking lot and didn't seem to be very busy. As we entered, it's a small place and you can seat yourself. The bartender/waiteress was very friendly and quickly took our order. We decided to order one Philly steak sandwich and one Cuban sandwich. They both were delicious and reasonably priced.

The food here is just good, fun, greasy diner type delicious. Crispiest onion rings I have ever had. They have gone up on the prices a bit (but who hasn't). They have this cool food truck style kitchen right there at the bar. Small space, so live music is usually just a solo artist. Downstairs is a cozy den type setting. Nice for sipping wine or bourbon, while chatting up with close friends. Outside patio is nice, with tall top tables and backyard is mostly used for corn hole competitions. Regulars are very serious about the game. Not sure what your definition of "steady" is, but mine is keep satisfying, never change, and always keep em' coming back. Y'all nailed it!

I was just making a quick stop in having been to the location in South End. I know they're known…read morefor their smoked meat, but I opted for a burger tonight. The NC Western Burger. They call it a 1/2 pound burger and it is every bit of that. The burger itself was very juicy and full of flavor. I had a side of Mac n cheese. Some of the bits of it were a little over cooked, but pretty good overall. I might try a different side next time. I sat at the bar since I was by myself. I wish I'd gotten the bartenders name, but she provided the nicest service I've had in a while when eating out. Across the restaurant industry, prices have gone up making it more difficult to eat out. It's nice knowing that not all people in the service industry take their role for granted. It made my rare dining trip out worthwhile. Looking forward to going back out to Mac's next time I'm craving a big juicy burger.

We got the beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, street corn, fried pickles and egg rolls as sides/starters. The fried pickles were soggy however it was a Door Dash order so that could have been the issue. The egg rolls were good. The mac and cheese and street corn were both good. The mashed potatoes were okay, but not great. We did not like the beans at all. Tried a bunch of sauces. They didn't come labeled so not sure what we liked. Would definitely go back for the ribs, egg rolls, and mac and cheese!

This 13 year old venue has spread its wings beautifully as well. I went here once back in 2014 and honestly couldn't tell you what it looked like back then, but oh how it has grown. Main entrance brings you into the main craft beer bar and bottle shop, featuring independent craft brews, wine, cider, and meads. This corner has been a hotspot for family's with fur babies for quite a while and I got the pleasure of coming back here last week. Don't be fooled by the name, it's not just beer, it's so much more, including: Trailside Games & Hobbies store: A hobby shop offering a curated selection of board games, card games, and social events. The Back Corner: A separate bar located in the back corner serving spirituous cocktails and mocktails. Who frequently hosts live local music shows. CannaBuddy Cannabis Dispensary: A dispensary providing hemp-derived THC seltzers, gummies, pre-rolls, and THCa flower. Two Scoops Creamery: An award-winning, locally owned ice cream shop.

There is also a gaming store, ice cream, and a mixed drink bar. In addition to the craft beer bar. They also sell wine and mead. And their a bottle shop too. Very friendly service with a nice craft beer selection. I enjoyed every beer I had. They also seem to have a food truck there almost every day. Definitely a spot you want to try.
