It's an easy place for all kinds of gatherings, especially ones with big groups and a thirsty penchant for beer. In a place like Webster where chains rule and suburban life is abundant, Saloon Door stands out as an excellent local option. It may not look like much from the outside and even the interior is minimal, but that somehow doesn't matter when groups of people are enjoying their brews together. They host all sorts of events and also allow for private use of dare venue space. Any first timer should absolutely indulge in a beer flight with some kind. The brewmasters are kind enough to let folks sample to their heart's content. Not everybody is beer savvy (#1) but they do a good job of recommending the right ones for any given palate. I appreciate their selection of stouts, ales, light brews, and IPAs. I have a fondness for their peanut butter milk stout, as well as dar dildo pickle gose. The tasty AF is also a good one, as is the lava imperial hot rock beer. The ladder has an ABV of 11%, so it is the most potent one in their lineup that I know of. Most breweries like this aren't always known for food, but there are some nice deals to be had here. Their taco Tuesday nights are popular since board games and happy hour beers are apparently a thing. The Friday deal for $15 inlcudes a burger, fries, and a beer would is very affordable in these times. Thursday nights they activate their projection screen and do a " a retro video game" night with plenty of multiplayer and beer specials. I always look forward to coming here. There is no pretense, plenty of good service, and even more good beer. __________ (#1) ::::coughs:::: me.

It was one of the first on this side of town before everyone and their mom started opening up breweries. The difference is, it has stood the test of time and is still going strong. This location is located in an industrial park close to I-45. There is plenty of parking. It anchors that particular section and is quite large inside. There is plenty of seating and they also have space available for private events. The staff here know their product and offer great advise on what to pick if you are indecisive like me. They have quite a respectable assortment of beers to choose from. They have light beers, malty beers, stouts, IPAs, and seasonal beers. I would suggest a flight if you want to try a few different things. I am not a big IPA guy, but Saloon Door has some that are pretty tasty. My favorites here at their stouts. They are heavy, but easy to sip on. Their stouts have flavor profiles that I love. My all time favorite Saloon Door beer is the Tasty AF. It is a peanut butter and chocolate milk stout. How can you go wrong with that flavor combination. It's like drinking a dessert. Some breweries name their beers with flavors but don't deliver on said flavor. Here, their beers are true to their names. Don't sleep on their other offering though! As far as food, they have rotating food trucks that you can order from. This location was my introduction to Saloon Door, but they did open their second location closer to my home. I would still without a doubt come back to this location if in the area though!

(Great place, the owners are fantastic, and if you have not been by there, why not? ) Back to the brewery. I was pleasantly surprised by this visit. Perhaps it was because it was after dark, the place was nicely lit, and we sat at the bar. The first time in was in the cold light of day, the place felt like a high school cafeteria and we all turned around and bounced right on out of there. Night time, the cosy lighting, and sitting at the bar with the restaurant (cafeteria feel) behind you is so much better. I found their service lacking for the lack of patrons in the place. Our glasses were empty for far longer than they should have been and we had to wait on our check to leave. The servers did appear to have great conversations with each other at the other end of the bar. Perhaps being more mindful of their customers would be more appropriate. The pluses are the Blueberry Blonde was as good as I remembered and we were introduced to Celtic Cross mead which led to a visit to their meadery. Would I come back? Yes. Whenever I feel called upon to partake of a Blueberry Blonde and when it is evening to avoid that high school cafeteria feel of the place.

We were greeted right away by the wonderful owner. This place is a dog HEAVEN! I love places that treat dogs like the royalty they are. The yard is spacious and mostly fenced in... it may be entirely fenced in when there isn't an event like the cruise night going on. Tons of places to sit. Great local beer selection. Friendly bartenders. This is a great place to stop just to relax in the shade with your best friend, or attend one of their awesome and often events. I'm already looking forward to the next one!

It honestly pains me to write this because I've really loved Penny's over the past six months…read more My husband and I started coming here in May 2025 because it was advertised as dog friendly and had great craft beer, something we both love and even brew ourselves. On our first visit, we learned about the late Penny, the dog the farm was built in memory of. The staff were kind, told us our dog was welcome to visit anytime, and we've been regulars ever since, usually stopping by once a week. Tonight, I arrived a few minutes before my husband and took our dog to the garden like we always do to pay our respects to Penny. After less than two minutes, a woman suddenly screamed at me to "get out immediately." I was shocked, since I'd never seen her before and thought she might be yelling at the nearby kids playing football. But it turned out she was yelling at me. I left right away and said, "I'm so sorry, I thought we were allowed in here. I've never been told otherwise." She shouted, "I'm the owner. Get your dog out of there." I said, "Ma'am, I'm complying, but your staff have always told me this was fine. You may want to clear that up with them." She replied, "I'll have a talk with them." I was really shaken up and waited for my husband to arrive. When we went inside, the owner asked to speak with me and said, "The only thing I'll apologize for is that the 'no dogs allowed' sign fell off. The woman I was with told me you sounded absolutely crazy and combative." My husband started recording because of how unprofessional she was being. I explained, "I think trying to talk across a field can make anyone sound upset. I just wanted to clarify that I've always been told dogs were allowed." She said again, "Well, you sounded absolutely crazy." I ended the conversation by saying, "We must have different communication styles. I'm going inside to enjoy the place I came to support tonight." Once inside, several other customers came up to me, telling me they'd had similar experiences with the owner's rude and combative behavior. To be clear, I completely understand if the owner doesn't want dogs in certain areas. That's her right. The issue is how this was handled. * The owner was unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional. * There's no clear signage about where dogs are allowed. * The staff clearly haven't been trained consistently on this policy. Every other staff member I've met here has been wonderful, which makes this even more disappointing. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously, because no customer deserves to be yelled at for following the same directions they've been given for months.
