I need to start off by saying that I delayed visiting this pizza place because I thought it'd be too hipster and I like a traditional pizza. I'm slapping myself for not having gone sooner. The garlic knots! Delicious. Perfectly soft and the garlic was not over powering. The pizza selection is great. You can get your hipster pizza or traditional and they even sell by the slice. The magic is in the sauce and it did not disappoint. Such good flavor. And the dough! It was perfectly baked and had delicious flavor. I'm not a crust eater but I couldn't let that delicious dough go to waste! They have a large selection of hipster beers on tap. I was disappointed I couldn't get my shiner but they had some good alternatives. The atmosphere was very cool. As a local I've always enjoyed this little pizza place. It's where my friends and I hang out for good food and good atmosphere; however, lately service has been lacking. I went here last night and we were met with an absolutely unacceptable waitress. She never smiled, spoke, and was overall really rude. I've never experienced anything like it anywhere else! She got the checks all wrong and threw (not placed) my Caesar salad on the table. When one of my family members alerted another staff we were told she wasn't even a waitress... however she was serving other tables as well with the same attitude. I'm beyond sad that such a good restaurant lacked good service. I'd also like to add that last time I went there I found a hair on my pizza but decided to give it mercy from the wrath of a yelp review. I hope they fix the service issue soon. read more

This place is really good. We like the pizza and salads, but the wings are SUPER tasty! Only drawbacks are that seating is a bit limited and it can be a little loud. If you can get there before the rush, it's awesome. Check out the giant slice, it's a really good deal. The salads are also pretty huge! read more

Great pizza, great addition to the downtown area. I do wish their takeout area was a bit more defined and easier...I have to say we sometimes decide on other pizza because it's a bit inconvenient and very awkward to wait in the crowded bar area. But the pizza itself is delicious! read more

I gave it only 4 stars because quite frankly it's way too noisy, you can barely hear the server or each other, however, no problem hearing the girls next to us complaining about husbands, and getting drunk with wet washcloths..new one on me, (need to research that one ). However, we ordered 1 slice each of presidio and queen margarita with the intent of getting out fast...quite likely the best pizza we've ever had and my hubby isn't crazy about pizza and we've lived all over the country. And the slices are equivalent to two ordinary slices. We will order takeout or go during the day. Great pizza, the pork shanks look delicious too. read more

Been here a couple dozen times since they opened but recently have started to get awful orders from them often times where the pizza is undercooked. The last time we were here for takeout, they gave us the wrong pizza. Which is fine, mistakes happen, no biggie. They refired a pizza and it was a sloppy mess with crust that fell apart. A MUST stop if ur in Round Rock! The BEST in historical downtown Round Rock. My wife and I went for dinner on Saturday after her body building competition(same as last year) and the food and service didn't change one bit after a year. In fact it was better! We had a very short wait and our bartender was super accommodating and helpful (he recommended the bakers choice pizza). Our server Rob was an awesome server, gave great suggestions and was always attentive. The pork shanks were freaking great, the wings were perfect (Rob suggested bourbon sauce and it was spot on and delicious) and my wife's baker's choice gluten-free was amazing!! I went through a phase where I was obsessed with the wings maybe 6 months ago. I had never had the pizza and only had ordered through uber eats. I did pick up myself yesterday and was soooooooooo disappointed, like it wasn't even the same place. I ordered wings and gluten free "personal" pizza. There needs to be some disclaimer somewhere on the thickness of the crust for each pie you offer. I had a pizza quesadilla last night it was like a sheet of paper. I had looked at pictures before ordering and people kept calling their thick crust pizza a personal pizza but no, it was no. Additionally, the wings ughhhhh. Dissapointment. I raved about you before...RAVED. Sigh. No more Slapbox. I usually order the wings, extra crispy extra wet. While it may seem odd, it is a thing. A thing they have always done before. The wings had a weird texture, didn't have the infamous crispy skin (though not fatty either) and the flavor/sauce was like non-existent. Order take out. No parking ofcourse so you'll have to circle the block quite a bit on Thursday-Monday or anytime on any day during normal business hours. Finally, hot and sweaty you'll stand in line soaking in the cliche decor. Once the "hostess?" feels like speaking to you you'll say "I'm just here to pick up my pizza" to which you'll be told to just go to the bar....Okay. At the bar, shuffling between those ordering their drinks and updating Instagram a bartender may notice you and after additional waiting, you'll be handed your pizza. Phew. Time to go home. Was so excited to finally get a booth and seated within 5 minutes of arriving only to be left waiting for 15 minutes to absolutly no body taking even a simple drink order. Then we FINALLY see a waitress and we have hope! Only to be let down after we see her take orders and serve the people in front of our booth and then completley skip ours to the people behind us. We were very excited to try Slap Box as we love 600 Degrees in Georgetown. We sat at the bar, which we love to do. The beer selection was great, the food ok, the service awful! There were 3 people tending the bar and we were completely ignored. There were two staff members talking to the couples on either side of us, for close to an hour, ignoring everyone else. Our plates were cleared, never asked if we wanted anything else, how was it, just took plates. We thought they would give us a check, no. I waited and waited, then asked if we had to pay up front (which I knew we did not), was completely ignored. Waved my napkin to finally get the attention of the bartender (Liz?) to ask about paying out. Worst service we have had in a very long time. My husband asked to speak to the manager when we left, turns out the manager was the other staff member at the bar who completely ignored us. We will not go back. read more

I always want to leave positive feedback and generally Slapbox is great. Food is always good. Service has been hit or miss the last couple visits. The sibling location 600 degrees has not dissapointed. Today at Slapbox, we waited 45 minutes for four slices and finally just asked for the check without getting food and the place was not that busy when we walked in. I can tell some of the staff works hard and some just stand around. It is a good place to eat but poor service made the visit a bad experience. I hope my next visit is better as i don't want to take this place off my list. read more

Me and my boyfriend are regulars here. We usually sit at the bar! Matt and Lisa are a big reason we come back so frequently. Super friendly, great service and they know their beers. We come in and they know what types of beers we like to drink and immediately set us up with samples to try. We love pizza and beer and the pizza is delicious as well! Went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how yummy it was. Cesar salad was huge and very fresh. Pizza crust had a perfect crispy outside with a warm soft inside. I liked 600 degree pizza, service was spotty, long wait times once sat and one little thing that bothered me every stinking time (even though it wasn't me ordering the items) ever since I've been going there, about 3 years, their fryer is ALWAYS broken. Always. Never worked. Not once. So take the wings and other stuff off the menu folks, it's been long enough. Slapbox however, amazing. Loved the service, loved the look, loved the food. Everything in their kitchen works, which is a huge plus, though i didn't order anything that required frying. Surprisingly my favorite thing is the Cesear salad. Sooooo good. Tried this place with my wife after a recommendation.. was pleased to have two seats at the bar available on a Saturday night. We ordered wings, garlic knots, and a pizza.. wings and garlic knots were very good as we both enjoyed and my wife isn't even a big fan of wings.. the pizza was pretty good.. the only thing that's preventing me from saying it's really good is the sauce.. the sauce seems to have too much garlic in it which overtakes the rest of the pizza which was good as I really liked the dough and crust used.
