With only two courts for a dozen kids, most of them just wait endlessly while he plays with adults who aren't even enrolled. When I confronted him, he blamed the children for "standing outside the courts" and told them to "find things to do" because "he's not their babysitter." After requesting a refund for the unused lessons, he promised to process it in two days, then refused--citing bogus excuses about lesson expiration--and blocked my calls, arrogantly declaring he doesn't care about negative reviews and will "fix" them himself. Avoid this shameless, money-grubbing coach at all costs.

I would not recommend this place to anyone and would advise people to look for alternative options. I personally believe that we were discriminated against by the owner. The environment was not welcoming and the owner's behavior was unacceptable. It's a shame that such negativity ruined what could have been an enjoyable activity.

The leader of our group was Gavin i believe and he did an outstanding job of controlling the kids and early 20 something's who can get a little excitable, to provide safe and Fairplay for everybody! He also did me a serious solid when something happened that could've ruined the day, but he was able to fix the issue Immediately! I truly appreciate that! All of the fields are unique, vast and have different qualities to them! I will say, if you're going to play airsoft, and you're gonna be there most of the day, you'll probably need to buy the extra bag of ammo. That was 100% needed for all of us playing. The rental guns are pretty decent, I wouldn't necessarily expect too much, but they definitely get the job done and they were thoroughly explained to everybody on how to use them. If you are having a malfunction or it is not shooting properly, let them know and they will get you fixed up. I certainly wouldn't call the experience cheap, but I do think it was worth it in the long run! If you go often, you definitely want a membership, and I don't really have any great tips on discounts besides book online to save yourself I think five dollars per person. Otherwise, expect to get the day pass, the equipment rental, and probably some extra ammo regardless if you're playing airsoft or paintball. Although you might be able to get away with what they provide you for paintball? All in all, it's an incredibly fun experience and I would say ages 10 and up would thoroughly enjoy it! Airsoft pellets, don't hurt too much, but you will feel them, paintballs are a little bit different and you'll definitely feel that. There seem to be double the air-soft players for what its worth. Wear long sleeves/pants and extra padding if need be! All in all, this is a great place for huge groups, birthday parties, or just going in by yourself for open play matches and enjoying your day! If you're debating it, definitely go!

The overkills were bad but getting hit more times than I could count in one burst from an LMG that was clearly against the posted rules. People weren't calling their kills and others were switching to full auto in the field. They also played with strange game rules that people didn't understand and it created lots of confusion and people yelling about the rules. When I asked about the rules they said the posted rules were out of date and the updated ones are on the way. I told them that was ridiculous. They gave me a refund and I left.

Earlier this year, we were looking for a daycare solution for our six month old. We heard great reviews, and so we came by for an in person tour and paid a deposit here. The staff was so welcoming, and it was evident that they really cared about taking good care of the kids. Additionally, there coronavirus protocols were spot on. They took great care to enforce a 100% masking policy, and it sounds like the vast majority of the staff had also been vaccinated. I loved that even though it looked like a commercial building instead of a school, they had different rooms for the different aged kids, kitchens, security cameras EVERYWHERE, and even outdoor space. We felt welcomed and Nikki answered every question we could have possibly had. Another endorsement is that she sends her own kids there! Anyway - we wish things would've worked out - it's purely a matter of distance and proximity - but we would've been thrilled to send our kid here. Thanks Nikki and the team!

The people at The Gardner School of Oakbrook Terrace have helped to raise our daughter to be the beautiful, smart, hilarious, creative, sweet little 5-and-a-half-year-old lady she is now. These women have changed her diapers, fed her nutritious meals, played with her, read to her, soothed her, encouraged her, loved her, taught her, shaped her, and helped her grow in every way possible. They've helped me be a better mom (& teacher, too). They've helped my husband in myriad ways as well. The teachers, administrators, and other staff are supportive and caring in all their interactions. The administrators were understanding whenever "life" happened and you needed to bend protocol to make all the things happen, whatever they might be. In our case, when our daughter was an infant, we actually pulled her out of TGS for a 6-month period because she was getting sick so often and so intensely. (Former preemie with low immune system plus she had the stereotypical childhood recurring ear infection.) When we decided we wanted to have her return, TGS welcomed us back with open arms. And...no matter what...every day during high traffic/morning drop-off/evening pick-up times, one of the administrators was there with a smiling face to greet parents and families at the front door. That meant more than it might seem on the surface. First of all, there were plenty of days where I blew into the building in quite a mood from my own long, trying school day with 100+ kids, but after I was greeted by a smiling Ms. Natalie, Ms. Jen, or Ms. Brittany and walked to my daughter's classroom, that interaction had managed to shift my focus to what kind of day my child had. Second, consistency is key with children and at TGS, it's demonstrated even in this area. Third, knowing you can count on that presence at a particular time makes it simple to plan quick verbal check-ins with TGS staff. The teachers were forever gracious about everything, including me dropping off incredibly late in the summer. :-P Enrichment teachers like Coach Janelle helped our daughter explore ballet, gymnastics, and theatre in a friendly, safe environment. We counted on Chef Nicole to prepare and serve tasty, healthy food several times a day every day & she always delivered. Most of all, we knew that daily our daughter's classroom teachers were doing absolutely amazing things, instilling in her a love of learning and an understanding of how school works... Ms. Angelika, Ms. Abbey, Ms. Tameka, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Angela, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Cassi, Ms. Adriana, Ms. Ann, Ms. Anna, Ms. Lonnisha, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Elyse: you are forever in our hearts. Beyond everything mentioned above, these women at TGS Oakbrook have always understood who our daughter is. That means they know what she responds well to and what she needs in order to feel safe, loved, & happy. It also means they knew what gaps needed to be filled and what she needed to work on. So at TGS, she has learned soooo much about how to be brave, to write, to play with friends (or to play alone when she's not feeling it!), to wash your hands at all the right times, to listen when others speak, ... Because of TGS Oakbrook and the women who work there, my daughter will walk into kindergarten at our neighborhood school the most prepared she could possibly be. And for that, we are forever grateful.
