Well, they had to go back and check to see if they had juice... they did not. I asked for just the bubbly instead, she had to go back and check again. How do they not know or keep things on their menu in stock? Oh well, they had the bubbly so it was okay. For food we ordered a pastry and a croissant sandwich. The biscotti and pastry were delicious. For some reason, they decided to panini press the croissant sandwich. What the heck, who would do that? Why didn't they ask? Tasty sandwich, but completely ruined due to crushing the croissant. We were expecting it to come straight out of the case and at most maybe microwaved to warm it, not just destroyed in a panini press. Cool vibes, nice atmosphere, food is good, tea menu looks amazing. But, the staff don't seem to have a clue to what they are doing.

They don't rush it either. They keep it in the warmer for a couple minutes, so it was warm throughout, even after carrying it back in the cold. This drink has a strong coffee flavour and you can truly taste the toffee nut. I like that it's super refreshing and it's perfect for the summer days. My friend ordered the Ice Biscoff Latte with Whipped Cream. If you are a biscoff fan, this is a must-order. They use biscoff to blend into the latte and they even place a full biscoff cookie on top of the whipped cream. It balances the sweetness of the drink and the coffee flavour at the same time. We also ordered the Smoked Salmon Toast which has a garlicky cream cheese, cucumber, smoked salmon, fresh dill, avocado, capers, radish and a slice of lime. This is a hefty gourmet toast and I love how fresh all the ingredients are. Make sure to squeeze the slice of lime before having it, and it really adds some sourness to the whole dish. I am a huge fan of capers, so this added some tanginess! All the employees are really kind-hearted and will come around often to check in on their customers. They serve coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, pastries and squares. They share their space with The Niche Ottawa Gallery which showcases art from Ottawan artists. The cafe is eclectic and has a cozy community feel to it. I like it. I got 2 sandwiches there. Their sandwiches are actually from Lunchbox (which has a location close by in Orleans and a newly opened one in Hintonburg). I got a BLT and a Chickpea Salad sandwich. Both were very good. I had a bite of each. My dad loved the Chickpea Salad sandwich. He said it was interesting and different from other sandwiches that he's had. It was chickpeas mixed with corn in a mayo sauce with a hint of curry. It had some greens and fresh herbs in it too. The BLT had the usual bacon, lettuce and tomato, but also a special sauce in it, that made it unique. My mom liked the BLT sandwich. What a great discovery!
