As a new Florida resident & homeowner, I was looking for someone honest and reliable to replace & repair the horrific "tile grout restoration" done a few months ago by another company who ruined my tile floors. I wasn't even sure that it was possible due to the damage caused by the previous company. David came out the same day to look at the job and talk to me about what happened. He quoted me a fair price . David, Kevin & Mark worked as a team for 2 days straight removing the grout paint disaster caused by the other company. They were able to not only remove and clean the grout underneath, but polish the tile which ended up looking brand new. They proceeded to offer me three different colors to redo the grout and sealer. David was kind enough to mix two colors to make it perfect. I could not believe my eyes when I came in and saw their job. It was perfect and everything I would have wished for. They were very kind, respectful & professional. Their job came with a 10 year warranty. What more could you ask for? They saved me thousands of dollars by not having to replace my floor. David prides himself on making sure his customers are 100% satisfied. He did not make me pay a dime until the job was done. I have hired him to come back to do my three bathrooms. This review is about the man (David-owner) moreso than the company. David's TALENT extends well beyond grout & tile restoration. My grout lines were literally black. The tile and grout truly looks BRAND NEW in a Sandwood (light) grout color. The grout is neat, clean, consistent in color throughtout the house with no dark spots bleeding through the lighter sandwood color. Here is where David's talents kick in and above beyond. The standup shower looked hopeless to a cleaning. Here david gave the shower area a complete facelift (without having to do a complete remodel). Beautiful work. Final note of praise goes to the kitchen where the tile floor meets the kitchen cabinetry. The wood was rotted and had to be replaced. Instead of baseboard (wood), David suggested tile. He picked a tile matching the floor, cut the tile himself, and installed it himself (to perfection). This work was done for a house we are selling. We will use him again for our own personal home. David is a CRAFTSMAN with a keen eye to detail. read more

I highly recommend 6K Tile Restoration, and owner David Alvarez. A water pipe had burst behind my bathroom wall. I called a tile guy l had used before and asked if he could save the existing tile, since it's pattern was discontinued. But he laughed and said that the tile would break, so he wanted me to tear out all of the tile, and he would install the new tile. I saw David's ad and was relieved when he said he could (probably) save the tile. Luckily, l had a few spare tiles from years ago saved in the garage, so when that one broke, he was able to just install my spare, saving me time and money. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with David. We had a problem with a number of discolored floor tiles, which we were unable to clean. After contacting about a dozen contractors who either failed to return phone calls, failed to show up, failed to reply to texts showing the problem, we spoke with David who, after seeing a picture of the tiles, said they probably could just be cleaned. He showed up, as scheduled and, sure enought, cleaned up the problem in less than five minutes. He was the only contractor who was honest enough to try cleaning the tiles, as opposed to replacing them. Incredible. David and his sons are superior! I recently had 6k repair a spot on my tile floor that had some broken tiles and areas that had hollow tiles. David was able to perform the injections to fix the hollow spots. once everything was fixed and polished it looked like I had a brand new floor again without brand new floor price! David promptly came out and gave a free estimate that was fair and honest. I was able to schedule and have the work completed in a timely manner. Had an area of cracked front door tiles and broken tiles in kitchen. Dave suggested several approaches since the tile couldn't be exactly matched, Job looks great. A few days later noticed some small hollow spots where liquid cement was injected. Dave responded quickly to remedy the concern. Job involved removing 8-9x12 tiles by front door and replacing with new similar tile. Removing and replacing 6 tiles in kitchen with 4 existing tiles and 2 from front door and injecting liquid cement under about 15 adjacent tiles in kitchen which needed it. read more

This is a five star company. They were able to transform 30 year old saltillo floor tile back to its original color and shine. After living with dull, faded tiles and grout, my expectations were fairly low. This company, especially David, had much higher expectations. Within two days our downstairs flooring was completely transformed, to a version even better than the original! David is very smart and nice guy. I initially called him to do some repairs and replace missing 4 tiles. He explained why im having problems with my tiles and he came up with different "smart ideas" to go about fixing my tiles.
