I found this experience to be much better than when I went to Lyman Orchards for their strawberry picking season and everything was stopped on and so crowded that you couldn't find many strawberries. This place was the exact opposite. They also have food trucks and bands on occasion.

Fresh native berries, cherries and snap peas, a sweet pup to greet us, and nostalgic honey sticks. This farm is a special place. We browsed the wonderful selection of homemade goods and purchased a few ready to go items on our way out. The Macaroni Salad, Potato Salad, and fresh salsa were all a perfect treat for lunch the next day. Oh yes and the strawberry fritters are a MUST. Pro tip* bring a cooler with ice so you can take some meal prep foods home! You'll be happy you did.

Turning off the road, you are immediately greeted by a beautiful farm house. Continuing your drive, the view just gets more and more spectacular. They have easy parking right next to the blueberry bushes and SO MANY rows of blueberry bushes giving an abundant number of berries for you to choose from. They have different types of blueberries (who knew?!). Rows are well kept which put my fears of poison ivy aside. They also have various syrups, jams and spices for sale which were beautifully packaged. Prices were reasonable and it's so incredibly important to support your local farms. I got to meet the family who owns it and they were the sweetest, answering all of my blueberry-related questions. I will 100% go back and stock up soon!

We were driving by on our way to another farm and we saw the sign that said .99 for a pound of apples. We decided to check it out and we call to get more information about times and days. It just so happened that a truck was driving by and encouraged us to drive up the road where this lovely lady welcomed us and showed us the way to Apple picking. We were told and observed that they also sell Christmas trees and they have reopened the apple picking this year. Long story short we had an entire orchard just for ourselves and a great time picking Golden delicious and Gala apples. They had more varieties but these were our favorites. Cash only but a great value! We got a bushel of apples for $20! You can't beat that!

The chef Ryan is so talented and passionate. The whole story as to how this started and how the team came together is so inspiring. The food was fantastic as was the drinks, ambiance and service. They also have other locally made products from around CT including milk, cheeses, honey, jams, maple syrup, pies, ice cream, plants, dog treats, and more! I got a bottle of Chocolate Milk from Hyde's Dairy Farm (located in Franklin, CT) and it was so chocolatey and delicious! The stand is open every day 9AM-6:30PM from Memorial Day through December 31st, and Tuesday-Sunday 10AM-5:30PM from January 2nd to Memorial Day. From November through May, their CT Handmade Gift Shop is open and filled with beautiful creations made by local artists throughout the state. We have visited this farm for the last two years when it is time for pumpkins. Both experiences…read morehave been great. The farmers are really nice people, very easygoing and friendly, so I feel comfortable having my curious kids there. There are some pumpkins still growing in a pumpkin patch and there are also some pumpkins in the patch that have already been cut from the vine. My kids love to wander through a real pumpkin patch to search for the perfect pumpkin. But there are also lots of pumpkins on tables from which to choose, medium to large. They also have the tiny white pumpkins and large white pumpkins. I was really impressed by the squashes and gourds. There were kabocha, turban, hubbard and butternut squashes for sale. And there were really nice gourds fresh from the field- they were washing them as we were browsing. We like that there are a few restored, antique tractors for the kids to climb on - these make for good photo opportunities! We also feel like the prices here are very fair - and for really high quality, fresh pumpkins. I highly recommend this pumpkin farm. It's great for families. We will definitely be back again next year.
