I've been going to this dry cleaners for six years now, very consistently. I've never had a bad experience only good experience experiences the entire time. Moon is the guy behind the counter and he's pretty awesome. He's always on top of everything and super friendly. I bring my suits, my wife delicates, and everything else that needs to be dry cleaned. I've been to them over 10 times as a new customer in the area and the owner and his staff are friendly and there's not a single problem with the dry cleaning I've had done. Plus, the owner has a tailor on site. He did a rush job for me for an upcoming wedding and charged me a really fair price for the work. Do not go to this racist business! After getting a haircut at a barber shop on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, I walked past this business on the same block. I saw a woman picking up or dropping off her dry cleaning with a man behind the counter. So, I looked at their business hours and it said they closed at 7 pm. Since it was dark outside, I then looked at my cell phone, which read 6:45 pm. Since the business was going to be open for 15 more minutes, I went to my car, which was also parked in the same block, took out a coat that needs a simple repair, and went back to the store. I got back to the store at 6:48 pm. The lights were on, but the door was locked. I knocked on the door, assuming the owner just went to the back of the store for something. It's not abnormal for some business owners to lock their door at night and to let customers in when they knock, so I knocked again when no one answered. I could see a little boy sitting inside, so I knocked again, thinking maybe the owner didn't hear me knocking. That's when I realized the owner was choosing to reject my business, even though it was clearly within business hours and he was just serving another customer. The owner never came out to serve me. I decided to call them on the phone. He did not answer. This was racism, as he saw a dark-complected, black person walk by and briefly stop to look at the store hours and he chose to "close" rather than serve me. To be transparent, when I walked past the first time, I had my coat hood up on my waist-length, female-styled winter coat because it was cold. When I went back with the coat I wanted repaired, I pulled my coat hood off when I got to the front door to fully expose my entire face, as I understand businesses want to fully see who enters their business for safety reasons. If he had come out from "hiding," he would have seen a petite, Black woman holding a coat for one of the services his business offers--dry cleaning, repair, or alterations. Do not go to this business! They profile their potential customers! Go where your business is wanted and appreciated! read more

Verbal abuse and attacks. After I arrived at the listed store opening hours (9:30am) and waited fifteen minutes for the proprietor to arrive and open, the owner verbally berated me (two F-bombs) with curse words and called me stupid, refusing to return my clothes to me, until I moved my car from the store's parking spot. He wanted to park in the spot, something he could have done three minutes later after I retrieved my clothes and was already going to move my car. It wasn't a nice or kind interaction. It was hurtful and mean spirited. He personally verbally attacked me with name calling and curses. It's not what I seek as a paying customer. I will not return. I recommend, if you care about kindness, go to any other dry cleaner. The funniest thing is, when I dropped off my clothes, the owner gave a lecture to the guy who does alterations in the store that he should treat his customers more kindly and not yell at them. He'd benefit from his own advice. He ultimately apologized, but it was too little, too late. read more

I am not sure why this dry cleaners have such a low rating score. I been coming to this place for over a decade, dropping off my clothes for work and casual to get dry cleaned and they do a superb job. When there are spots and stains that needs to be cleaned, I tell them and they flag it on the clothes and when I pick it up the stain is removed. Their tailor is awesome and prices reasonable. I wanted to get my shoulder pads removed from a blazer and the stitching looked great. Their prices are great and affordable and the staff is kind. No complaints on my end. read more

I have been going here for a couple years and I absolutely love this place. 7 Brothers is an organic dry cleaner/ laundromat with prices as low as ZIPS. They also do alterations on site. This is a small, privately owned place. Every single time I go it is the same guy working there and he is friendly and professional. My clothes always turn out great. This place is hands down the best dry cleaner I have found in Maryland and I'm so glad they survived through COVID, but they are probably still struggling, so check them out! read more

This business takes zero responsibility for your garments. If things disappear, you get a non-sensical scolding from the management telling you it's your responsibility to count the number of items when you dropped them off - nevermind that the ticket shows they accepted the item and they acknowledge they lost it. Basically, if you don't mind losing articles for which you will get, at most, $30 back, then wave your garments goodbye when you drop them off, because it could very well be the last time you see them. And if you have a lost garment or any problems, good luck trying to talk to management. The staff will make you basically stalk the shop waiting for management to show up so you can discuss your lost garment with them. Do your clothes and your patience a favor and go somewhere else. This business will give you nothing but aggravation. read more

Wish I could give negative ratings. If you don't want unknown body liquids get on your clothes, if you don't want your shirts and suits be ruined and only found it out the morning you need them, if you don't want to be blamed for "lying" to them, don't come to this place. However, it is possible that one day they give another person's made in Italy suit to your, I returned the one I got, but it is up to you, if you decide to keep it, they won't lose too much, after all, they will only compensate $30 to the owner of the lost property. According to the owner, he only charges very little on each clothes, what kind of service should I expect. Very bad service and attitude. I ended up disposed two of my suits, and one of my silk scarf was scratched. read more

While the staff is polite, they do not fix mistakes (which we all know happen from time to time). After a couple good experiences, I brought in several items for dry cleaning and one of the pairs of dress pants came back obviously laundered (material ruined and about 3 sizes too small) and when I brought it to the staff's attention they just replied - how can you prove it was laundered vs dry cleaned? If it was dry cleaned and not ruined - I wouldn't be bringing it up. So while it's cheap, you are taking a chance with your clothes here. If you don't mind things ruined and paying again for things because they don't take responsibility- this place is for you. I won't be going back.
