Went in for my 6 mth cleaning, (2 mths late) and Dr wanted to do a deep cleaning for an extra charge to me that ins did not cover. I said, " just do a regular cleaning please" and the Dr refused to do it. So I left, called my ins, got another Dentist referral, immediately called them, they had an availability that same day at 2pm, went in, had a Normal cleaning and I was out the door all paid by ins!! As I mentioned before, the front desk Janie runs the office and the staff is friendly; but since I signed up 1.5 years ago, I have yet to see Dr. Chung- the dentist I signed up for. They have different dentists each time I go in, and sometimes the dentist doesn't even check after the cleaning. I had one deep cleaning at the beginning, but I don't think I needed that every 3 months, but they charged me for them. I normally clean my teeth twice a year, but they wanted me to go every 3 months. I had a cavity between my teeth, they didn't mention anything until they told me I needed a root canal, couldn't the dentist catch it on the X-ray sooner? They also told me I needed a crown on my other tooth due to sensitivity for a discounted price of $1K. I went to another dentist and was told I only needed to seal between my root and gum. I brought my mom here for dental work, and it was a horrible experience. They took advantage of my mom not speaking English. They extracted her tooth without clearly explaining the procedure to her, then had the audacity to ask her to pay over $500 to put a crown on the tooth they misled her into having removed. If you or your family members are not fluent in English, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. In our experience, they did not provide clear communication and seemed more focused on charging additional fees than on proper patient care. 7 Day Dentists Moulton Pkway do a good job of the teeth. But they are after as much as they can get out of our Insurances. I had $2500 allocated for year 2025 included in this was two crowns fully covered. They promptly told me after their evaluation "Im out of pocket $1000" so dumb me wrote a check so that was the go ahead to do the work with my crowns. Omg did they charge for those crowns $1404. My Insurance Agent hit the roof. Im seeking a claim to get back my $1000. Beware of these scammers. read more

The consultation went ok. They wanted me to stay for a cleaning but I didn't have time. They verbally recommended a few different options for my broken tooth. Then I called and emailed to ask them for a copy of the recommendation of the work to be done. My memory is bad so I wanted to show the options to my boyfriend first. I guess they thought it was because I was getting a second opinion or going somewhere else. They wouldn't return my calls or emails. After explaining that to their answering service several times, they finally called and said I would have to at least come in for a cleaning before they could release my records to me! That's when I checked reviews, switched my dentist with my insurance and made an appointment with a new dentist. I contacted them again to release my records and X-rays and they started giving me the run around again saying that person was not in and no one else there could do it. They said they'd call the next day but they didn't, I was about to go to the office to demand my records in-person but I called first and they finally emailed them. Obviously, I would NOT recommend 7 Day Dental but my new dentist down the street, Dr Moshin and staff are awesome! read more

I cannot emphasize how grateful I am for finding this dentist. I have PTSD and severe anxiety from a traumatic dentist procedure when I was young, and also recent trauma with shots, needles, and just medical care in general. The front desk staff and assistant were the kindest souls. They held my hand and were very patient and understanding of my when I was having a panic attack before getting shots. The doctor was fantastic and thoughroughly explained how my procedure was going to be and talked me through everything. It was virtually painless and I cannot thank him enough. He is a very skilled doctor and now I better understand how tricky being a dentist actually is after hearing him explaining the techniques and uniqueness of each person's oral cavity and the nerves connected to them. read more

I brought my parents to 7 Day Dental to have them take care of their dentures, as their previous dentist did not conduct quality work. The entire experience has been excellent. From Janie at the front desk who has genuine care for all of the patients, the kind hygienists, as well as Dr. Christine Chung, and Dr. Mehran Mahmoudian! Dr. Mahmoudian is thorough, gentle, and has excellent patient bedside manner. He did such a fantastic job with my mother's dentures and truly improved her confidence and quality of life. She feels that she looks better, and is so comfortable now with how they feel. We are going to celebrate by taking her to a rib dinner and an apple for dessert for her birthday. Foods that she hasn't been able to enjoy for years. You can tell that the office runs well and that they all care about their job and their patients. Most of the team at 7 Day have been working together for years and the employee retention there displays their passion. They have plenty of loyal, longtime patients. Doctor Chung has built a wonderful network of family-friendly dental offices. You can always tell when people enjoy who they work for and I can see the staff smiling through their surgical masks no matter how difficult their day might be. From the front desk and back again there are friendly, engaging, highly capable professionals everywhere you turn. Once the initial forms were completed I have never waited for more than 5 minutes in the waiting area before being led to a chair, except for the time they had just moved into temporary office quarters due to an office remodeling project. Doctor Mahmoudian and his angelic assistants are masters at their craft, and they worked halfway through their lunch hour to complete my work and try to get their afternoon patients back on schedule. While operating, they are a synchronized team working as one who speak softly and assuredly to keep the patient informed and relaxed every step of the way. I've heard that there are people who don't like to go to the dentist, but I have enjoyed every minute I have spent at the Laguna Woods 7-Day Dental office and I am looking forward to my next visit already. Giving one star because all the staff here are mostly nice. But nice doesn't make up for fraud and violating informed consent. Let me explain On my initial exam, the dentist recommended a lot of work. A lot. Of this work he recommended that my lower wisdom teeth be extracted due to cavities. I called to make an appointment for the extractions, at which point I was chastised for cancelling my last appointment (my first ever cancellation btw) with a patronizing "if I book you are you gonna show?" I reminded them that I didn't no show, I cancelled, and the girl I cancelled with said because it was first cancellation they won't charge me the typical cancelation fee. I explained I was overwhelmed with the $4000 estimate on my implant, and decided to do it elsewhere, but since this is just an extraction my insurance would cover it (my copay is 0 for extractions). They corrected my assumption, letting me know that it will actually be $1200, because they need to do a bone graft. On my wisdom teeth. I told them I don't need the bone graft as I don't plan on replacing the teeth anyway. They said if I don't do the bone graft they won't do the extraction. They told me that everybody who gets their wisdom teeth extracted at their office gets a bone graft. Everybody. Gee I wonder if it's cause bone grafts aren't covered by most insurance? That's not standard procedure and I hope to hell they get audited. I called my insurance company, who offered to get on the line with them to tell them that they can't force procedures on me that aren't covered. When I tried to connect the call, they dropped it. I decided to switch dentists, new dentist said my wisdom teeth are straight and the cavities superficial. I just needed fillings. I'm sort of glad they were being shady, because I would have been out my teeth needlessly otherwise. read more

They didn't properly remove my child's cavity, and they covered the cavity with the filling. 2 of the fillings fell off.

If you can, avoid this 7 Day and perhaps all branches. I've so far had to spend around $3,000 to correct all the poor work and damage done by the staff here. And I'm just over halfway done through the process of fixing my mouth. As a teen to young adult, I should not have been part of some sort of practice work for people to experiment dentistry on. At 27 years old, I now have more dental issues from this office than people twice my age. I am upset, disappointed, and overall appalled that this practice continues to just go ahead and perform such poor work. I would rather have just not gone to a dentist than go here. Or eat rocks. I would not recommend this dentist office. Went in with an appointment for pain on a Monday and still buy Thursday they had not referred me to an endodontist for an emergency root canal that they said I needed. I had to contact my insurance and find my own dentist and make an appointment and do everything myself they did not do anything, after sitting here for days on Motrin and amoxicillin in pain, I did their job for them. read more

Very agressive stance on charging. Went in for a cleaning which was covered under my insurance with a $50 co-pay. They gave me a sales pitch that I needed "deep cleaning" and that it would have to be done in two visits. Please note, the first visit, which I though I would get my teeth cleaned (it was a teeth cleaning scheduled visit) turned out to be a "consultation". With each "teeth deep cleaning, I was to be billed $150 each time" because the insurance wouldn't let them bill it in one visit. Then they stated that I had 3 cavities, and that I needed a "root canal" . I got two other opinions from two different dentists. The first one said there was only ONE cavity NOT 3. The Second one concurred that there was only one cavity. Both Dentists giving the additional opinions said a filling would be the first step because I was not experiencing any pain in the tooth, and it is a more conservative approach because with root canal, it basically kills the tooth because the nerve is gone making the tooth more brittle. They said, if the body rejects the filling, additional work could be done. ANd likely, it will be okay and get me by another 15 to 20 years in most cases. The second doctors evaluation said my teeth looked very well maintained and there wasn't any reason to do a deep cleaning. They also missed many other items like pits in my teeth that could be filled (not cavities), and receeding gumline which could have cover work done to keep my mouth feeling better and less sensative. I feel quite bothered when 7 Day dental said I had 3 cavities when there was only one, and they wanted to do the most expensive approach. HONEST IS THE BEST POLICY OR I WOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. read more

Horrible customer service. My husband explained that there is an open room with many patients having work done together. He took our 5 year old daughter to this dentist for a cleaning and was asked to leave her by herself since there was an open room and other patients getting treated there. Not comfortable with this policy for a 5 year old child. Called many times after to get a referral to a pediatric dentist. The front desk will take a message but won't call you back, so i just kept calling. I called at 1pm and the front desk person told me everyone is out to lunch until 330pm (what?!?). After leaving many messages I was emailed a referral with no explanation of the process and still NO CALL BACK from front desk Patricia or referral person Jenny. Very unprofessional phone etiquette by Patricia and obviously no customer service etiquette by Janie. I would not recommend this office. read more

Starting with the waiting room, the furniture is dingy and shows considerable signs of wear then moving back into the dental area for patient sections are separated by curtains. The equipment is antiquated. I haven't seen x-ray equipment or methods like this one in 25 or 30 years. If you're going there cross your fingers and hold your nose. read more

Ordered a mouthguard a month ago, apparently it arrived weeks ago, but no one thought to call me. I called in today after realizing how long it had been, and they informed me it arrived in the beginning of October. They gladly took my $450, but apparently were never going to let me know that my mouthguard arrived. This is not the first issue I've had with this location. Completely unprofessional I'm in shock at how terrible this dentist office is. If you read this please look elsewhere as they do a terrible job here. I let them know I heavily grind my teeth and was assured the mouthguard would be rushed, apparently that's not the case as they left it sitting for weeks without letting me know. I guess it's my fault for assuming they would do their job properly and inform me I can come in to pick it up. Please save yourself some stress and go to a dentist office that actually cares and is able to complete a basic task. I am a new patient to this practice and accidentally went to the Ladera Ranch location for my appointment which was totally my fault. I called this location and spoke to Jaime who told me it would be fine, i was a 15 minute drive away and they would still see me. Jaime was super bubbly, attentive, and kind when I checked in and told me they were working as fast as they could to check me in. I told them no rush at all- they are the ones doing me a favor after all for still seeing me. After filling out my new patient paperwork on the iPad, I waited only a couple minutes and was brought back for x rays. The Dental Assistant (I didn't get her name) was a total sweet heart and attentive making sure that the x ray process wasn't too uncomfortable for me. She was around my age I think so we got along well. I then met Dr. Mehran Mahmoudian who listened to my concerns and was very thorough with his examination of my teeth because I was having pain. He really took his time with me and explained things in an easy way by drawing out what he was saying to help me understand. He went above and beyond to try to narrow down what the issue was and I felt like he truly cared. He even gave me some chocolate and some caramel to locate the tooth I was having issues with because I told him sweets trigger the pain. He was very nice and I didn't feel rushed at all. Then I saw who I believed was a dental hygienist who finished off my cleaning by polishing my teeth and flossing. He was very nice as well and attentive Overall, I'm super happy with this office as they gave me a great first impression. My wife and I changed our dentist recently and decided to go to 7 Day Dental in Laguna Woods. If you want to go to this place, consider my and many others' experience: 1. They convince you that you need work done that is not needed. I visited two other dentists and they said it was not needed. They make up things so they charge you. 2. They won't explain the charges if you ask them. 3. I have a very good dental insurance and although I had full coverage, they lied to me that it's not covered. 4. If your teeth need a regular cleaning, you'll be told you need deep cleaning because they want you to pay extra to them. 5. Terrible customer service.
