I Would absolutely recommend Platinum Dental. I took myself and my kids there recently. Front desk staff, hygienist, and Dr were all efficient and great. It had been longer than I wanted since our last cleaning and was concerned the kids might need a filling. A thorough exam by both x-ray and closeup cam confirmed both boys were good. I took my son in to get confirmation that he could begin orthodontic treatment at another location. We had not been patients before but our current dentist in SJC went to a 'cash only' policy and we found Platinum Dental Group. I was happy when I read the reviews but my experience was lackluster. To get clearance all they needed to do was look at x-rays taken prior and sign a paper. Instead they insisted he do another round of x-rays because his prior ones were done 7 months prior. I was not happy about that. They insisted on a FULL PANEL which further irritated me. When the doctor was about to sign on the orthodontic paperwork a pushy dental assistant started arguing with him saying my son needed to be drilled in filled before I leave! The dentist disagreed and the assistant continued to be combative and spiraled into a full melt down in front of everyone. Right then I could see there is a lack of respect in the office. Also her attitude was very upsetting for my son, myself and all the other patients in the area. I was glad when the dentist told my son to continue to brush and floss then signed the paperwork. Good grief. Seeing this strange episode made me write off Platinum as a potential dental service provider. FYI everyone is so sick of these high pressure tactics to have excess dental work done to pump cash into these businesses. And most dental offices are solely businesses at this point. All the clientele that afternoon were elderly which I guess fills the need of what that hygienist wants - someone who will not argue and pay up. Sad to say we won't be back. The dentist was kind enough to ignore his hygienist's antics but we are over being treated like commodities in the world of dentistry. read more

Been coming here the last few years and really enjoy the staff and office. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There's definitely more of push to take a comprehensive approach to dental care (guards, flossing, standard cleaning, but also Invisalign, laser treatments, flushes, etc) but I find the additional encouragements to be educational and very helpful. Firstly, the front office staff is amazing. My insurance was being so difficult and they were adamant about making sure I was seen today despite the huge delay I caused. Everyone in this office in incredibly friendly & helpful. The hygienist was amazing - explaining everything and making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Very patient and thorough. The doctor made sure to allow ample time to review everything with me and answer questions. He never rushed my care and took the time to go over all of the details of my treatment plan. I recently had a cleaning and was feeling a little out of sorts before my appointment, but as soon as I stepped foot in their office, the bright and spacious environment, along with the friendly reception (Sophia and Fatima) instantly made me feel relaxed. Right on time, I had my cleaning with the dental hygienist, Jessi who I really adore. She's very professional, knowledgeable, and so fun to talk to.
