Horrible horrible experience. Attendant demands payment up front. DEMANDS. ... But I had a shoulder problem that would just not go away. Had it most of my life and it usually clears up in a few weeks but this time it was going on 6 weeks and I could not lift my arm above my ear; I had to do something. I checked out a couple places in the area... one looked like a MASH unit inside. One big room with 6 to 8 beds all next to each other. I walked right out. Next place (Soo's Spa) was just flat out rude... because of the layout of the first place I asked if I could take a look at the rooms / tables. She flat our refused. Said I could not even walk past the cast iron door until I paid. I left again. Folsom massage was probably going to be my last shot before I just gave up. Glad I checked out one more place because Folsom Massage turned out to be perfect. First off it was only $40 for a full hour. Most places for that price you can only get a foot massage or chair massage. It has individual rooms with a nice calming atmosphere. My masseuse was great. So much so that I've never seen any of the other masseurs there. So unfortunately I can't speak about the others. Lastly just let me say, about the two negative reviews I see here... a 3 star and a 1 star. One already said the massage was good. The other had nothing negative to say about the massage. However they said things like "Skeptical" and "not sure". In other words they got good massages for a good price and we're offered nothing inappropriate but they still had to complain. Some people really should not use Yelp. They don't realize they can actually damage a small business with their irresponsible reviews.

Friday I had the Thai Herbal Ball Massage with Tammy. I've never had a massage by Tammy before. My…read morego to person for the past 10 years or so has been Tata. She's so good that at one point I was going to her weekly just to release all the stress I'd build up in my body over the week. Times back then were really stressful for me. I remember going on my lunch hour when she was working down the street from my office. I remember those good o' days. I wish she still had her shop down the street, then I would go so much more often. Now she's moved to a shop down the way from the Arden Mall, if you know the area she's closer to the Nordstrom Rack, a few streets behind them. This new location isn't so convienent for me anymore, but I have to love it as it has fabulous parking. They have there own private lot so there is always spaces available. The building is new and fresh. They recently got all new floors and benches so it's even more freshened up now. Baanpo Thai Massage will be moving down the hall to an even bigger space soon. You're going to love it as it's so much more spacious then there currently location a few feet away. Here is their description of the Thai Herbal Ball Massage : For centuries, the people of Thailand have used herbs such as zingiber, lemongrass, caffer-lime, pommelo peel, tanaka, turmeric ect. to accelerate healing of the body. These herbal balls are streamed to release the herbs healing properties and the heat is used to relax tight muscles. The warm herbal balls are excellent at releasing tired sore muscles, increasing blood flow, detoxifying, and relaxing the body. This treatment is used in combination with traditional Thai massage to work on specific parts of your body that need special attention for muscular tightness or pain The Herbs aren't overpowering and I could smell the faint whiff of lemongrass. If you are more up naming your scents you probably could smell them all. My noes is just too immature for that. The massage started out with a Thai Massage to relax the muscles then she went into the Thai Herbal Ball Massage (a traditional Thai healing treatment that involves pressing steamed muslin compresses--packed with aromatic and therapeutic herbs--along the body's muscles and energy lines.) and ended with stretching. It was very relaxing and I enjoyed the massage a lot. I always forget how much I love the Thai Herbal Ball Massage and usually get the Thai Combo Massage. A Thai Combo Massage is half Thai massage and half Swedish massage. It's also very good, but totally different. I also love the hot stone massage. I used to get that all the time in the cooler months. I'd love to get one now, but I worry about them getting too hot giving it as it's so hot outside. Though the room and building have air conditioning so it's never too hot inside and it's always the perfect temperature. Tammy did a great job on my Thai Herbal Ball Massage and I highly recommend her and the Thai Herbal Ball Massage.

Just about every place offers relaxing massages but I needed a therapy massage - and Nikki delivered! Nikki's Spa should be called, "Nikki's House of Healing" because she has magic hands. She can tell you more what's going on with your body than any doctor or lab report. I over-extended myself playing basketball with "jumpers knee" and knee hyper-extension. After a month of the healing process, my knee and calf still had some lingering pain and strain going up & down my stairs - but 90 minutes with Nikki made it all go away. The therapy massage is not just the typical deep tissue massage (that I don't particularly like). I explained my problem areas and Nikki's magic hands found areas I didn't know were concerns but immediately felt it when she was working her magic. Nikki covers the sciatic nerve, lymph nodes and the blood flow of the body for better health. If you have back pain, knee pain, sciatic pain, diabetes or migraines - let Nikki work her magic before deciding on surgery or meds. Overall, this wasn't just a massage, it was pure physical therapy and preventative maintenance needed on my body. Nikki is truly a miracle worker. No matter where you live, it's worth the drive to Nikki's Spa.

She gots the job done & helps with my recovery every time. I overwork my body daily and coming to her helps with my recovery. I enjoy the pain, deep tissue, and cupping. She might not be for everybody but def for those who need deep tissue or have pain. She is one strong little lady! Love her!
