This isn't my first time here, and each time it never fails to impress and leave me satisfied. Try the tonkotsu ramen and the spicy tantan ramen. Both taste AMAZING! The service is also great, the waiters are very knowledgeable and attentive, (shoutout to Andrew! Thanks for the wonderful service) and even the chefs are very interactive and pleasant. Beyond their ramen, their appetizers such as the Chipotle + Sesame wings are great and other main dishes like their Lomo Saltado is awesome. To put the Cherry on top, the music is great too. It took about 10 minutes for us to be seated, even with a reservation. But the food and our waitress definitely makes up for it. I ordered the coconut shrimp bao buns and they were so delicious. My friend ordered the sloppy Joe bao buns and they didn't disappoint either. I had the duck confit ramen--wow, so good and flavorful. I had never had duck ramen before, but this was delicious. The la chica drink was interesting and refreshing. My friend didn't like it so much. It's a hit or miss. Customer service is consistent and good; employees answer my questions, help me navigate the menu, and know the menu well enough that I don't really have to look at it (though do to double check ingredients). I order Garlic Soy Cucumbers (very tasty, a colder flavorful more than spicy light snack with a distinct flavor) and Mushroom Ramen (the establishment has a Vegan version which is good; I get the most flavor from the noodles by wrapping the chopsticks then sucking on the noodles, so good, the rest of the ingredients are really tasty together in a bite though the seasonal mushroom has a gentle chewy texture with a good subtle distinct flavor complementing the ramen well). The establishment takes different forms of payments. I don't know if a physical menu option aside from the QR code is available. The interior decor and music (during my visit) are so in tune working thematically well with the establishment's ever present overall theme. read more

I feel so blessed to live within walking distance of this restaurant. My boyfriend and I went to their pop-up back in January - needless to say, we were big fans of most of the menu which brought us back last night. Only things we weren't the biggest fans of during the pop up were the BLT Ramen - overly bacony in our opinion but otherwise it was VERY filling with a great portion and the Papas A La Huancaina which I found to have a flavor I didn't particularly enjoy.. My preference though, order what you know you'd enjoy as we were just ordering to try stuff then. I was not able to get any photos of our takeout but I do have photos from the initial pop up! Last night we ordered the coconut shrimp bao buns, chipotle + sesame wings, Tokyo ramen and the Lomo Saltado. LET ME TELLLL YOUUUU, you cannot go wrong with ANY of these 4 dishes. Out of all 4, our top dish was the Lomo Saltado which was out of this world. Whatever they did to make such a magical dish... I do not care, but I will be ordering very often! They even have this special takeout bowl for ramen that separates the fixins and noodles from the broth which I so greatly appreciated!! My only gripe is that they did not have the bao buns that they offered during the pop up which was some sort of beef if I'm not mistaken. All In all, Chef Lawrence and the team did a phenomenal job with this restaurant - looking forward to frequenting here more often. read more

Visited on 02-05-2023 Overall a wonderful experience and I couldn't find too many faults. Parking can be a little tough on the street but there is a parking garage nearby or there is a small lot next to blue steel. Ambience: A+ this is a great location if you are coming on a date. The decor is really nice and the seating is spacious. Drinks: I had the La Chicha and my girlfriend had the Honey Yuzu Lemonade. The drinks were both really great and I wasn't expecting it! I tried the La Chicha on recommendation from the waitress and I wasn't disappointed, it was fruity as expected but the combination of purple corn and cinnamon gave it a little more complexity and I am not entirely sure how to put it into words. Coconut Shrimp Bao Buns - Delicious! I recommend giving this a try, inhaled this in a few bites... 48 Hour Short Rib Ramen: The broth was very flavorful and the meat was very tender and juicy. I would have preferred my noodles with a little more chew but it was still very good. The mushrooms were a pleasant surprise, they were well cooked and added some nice variety to the dish. The candy shallots also packed a ton of flavor and they did good to not add to much. Milk Tea Panna Cotta- This dessert had a very mild flavor. I did not get a hint of passion fruit in it. Would not recommend this one. Service was amazing, the waitress made some very nice recommendations and she really knew her stuff, thanks for the great recommendations! We came here for an early rainy Saturday dinner. We didn't have reservations but were seated right away. I'd definitely recommend reservations because it was crowded by the time we left. The atmosphere was dark but not too dark. It was very nice and cozy on the inside. We started with the honey yuzu lemonade which was sooooo good and the La chica. For starters, we had the papas La huancaina and the O.G ceviche. The papas did not taste like traditional Peruvian papas La huancaina but still had good flavor. Maybe just a tadddd bit on the salty side. The ceviche was tasty and balanced well. For entrees, we had duck ramen and tonkotsu ramen. The duck ramen was lacking in duck meat but our server was kind enough to bring us out some more. We enjoyed the flavors. The tonkotsu was the better of the two with the broth being tastier and richer. Towards the end of the bowl the broth did become a bit much and felt a bit salty. We also wish the ramen egg was marinated for longer since it didn't taste like a marinated egg, just a soft boiled egg. Overall we enjoyed our time here and will be back! read more

Lovely location with an upscale feel and BYOB. The exposed brick walls, modern decor, and low lighting (not too low could still read the menu) really give a relaxing inviting yet upscale vibe. The service was great and very attentive. I was with a party of 4 and they took our starters and mains together but were served and paced at perfect timing. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the coconut shrimp boa buns they were perfection. Soft bao bun with extra crispy shrimp. The soy cucumbers were also a great starter. Avoid at all costs ! I went there with my fiancé on 22 February when we entered the restaurant. There was a loud and obnoxious customer, causing a ruckus and nothing was done to calm or control her. That was the best part of the restaurant we then ordered wings, which were tasty. However, shortly after eating them, my fiancé felt nauseous. The Ramen came. She ordered the chicken Ramen and I ordered the duck Ramen. I wasn't feeling great myself. We ate a few bites and decided to take the rest to go. My fiancé got violently ill on the way home vomiting , as I entered the house I felt nauseous and also began to vomit and had violent diarrhea obvious food poisoning from this garbage place. Do yourself a favor don't ever go there. There are many other good places to enjoy Ramen . I would give it zero stars if it would be permitted. read more

First time trying ramen and I'm so happy I came here! There is plenty of street parking and a parking garage nearby. They accept reservations but we walked in on a Sunday and we're seated right away. The staff is super friendly, they explained all the ramen 101 I needed to know since it's my first time. The dessert was really good, we had the cheesecake. One million times... YES. 7 Doors Down Ramen is a relatively new spot owned by the same folks that own the restaurant... you guessed it... 7 doors down. Incredibly hip and trendy interior, 7 Doors Down Ramen is serving up Japanese and Peruvian fusion. That means you can get ceviche and ramen in the same meal, YUM. Great selection and great food. On Wednesday nights they do a vegetarian pre-fixe menu that I can't wait to try! BYOB. The liquor store and parking garage are right around the corner. Don't sleep on this spot! read more

Wow, this place was such a pleasant surprise! I am not normally a fan of ramen but this might be the only place I'd keep coming back to for ramen. My husband who is the Dave Portnoy of Ramen, also really loved this place!! The starters are also very delicious. The papa hauncainas is a different twist to the normal Peruvian dish but yummy! My husband really loved it because it has an olive kind of taste mixed into the sauce. And my personal fave were the coconut shrimp bao buns! I could probably eat 6 of those alone as my whole meal!!! We came here for dinner right before Christmas. Our general outlook was that the food was okay and while the service was kind, it was sparse. I understand that a lot of places are short staffed but our whole experience took over 2.5 hours. I will say they comped us a drink (all are non alcoholic) so that was appreciated. The food overall left much to be desired. The cucumbers, while typically not an over complicated dish, it lacked flavor. The potatoes were good, but there was a blueberry like tasting chutney that didn't go with the flavor profile. The mushroom ramen was okay. I completely understand it's mushroom, but it would be nice to get some complimentary flavors in the ramen. This is just a personal taste preference but it tasted good overall. The flavor was absolutely perfect, it had the right of amount of spice, and the mango, salmon, maracuya combination was out of this world. I've never had anything like it and I am very picky with my ceviche since I am from the coast of Peru. The lomo was amazing! The short ribs were unfortunately a little bitter and the sauce was overwhelming the plate and mash potatoes. Service was inmaculate, everyone was really kind and attentive to our needs. Decided to try out this place, and it is extremely popular; almost couldn't eat there because I didn't have a reservation. The broths are made to order and are extremely flavorful, while being lighter than most other ramen places. The noodles also had some nice bite to it. Had an amazing experience right up at the bar. The chefs working were very personable and hilariously different. It was pretty much like sitting at a bar with bartenders but with food. I really really wanted to like this place. Especially since it's an affliate of blue steel pizza Co and I love Blue steel. However my visit here fell short. Let's start with the service. Service was ok. The staff was friendly but not attentive. I sat with out utensils, ketchup for my fries and other things for a while looking for a member of staff to help. When someone would come they were very nice. Was just a matter of getting someone. Now for the food. They give cancha salada to start which is a type of corn typical Peruvian snack. I enjoyed this. For drink I got the yuzu lemonade drink which comes in a cute teddy bear cup. I enjoyed this as well. For meal I ordered the crispy salmon sandwhich. This is where things really went left. I expected a fresh salmon sandwhich however what I got tasted like a frozen processed salmon burger. I didn't enjoy it at all. The fries were also not good. They were hard and taste like they were over fried then left to sit all day. For dessert I tried the strawberry pisco it was ok. Taste like just a bowl of chopped strawberrries with a little dollop of yogurt. I'm so disappointed in my visit here.
