We had such a great time at Momoya Ramen! For drinks, we started with a refreshing matcha with boba and some hot green tea. For appetizers, we ordered the takoyaki, pork bao buns, and the crab meat and pork soup dumplings, all delicious and definitely great choices, be careful though and wait a few minutes coz it was piping hot. For our main dish, we shared the momoya ramen, which was savory, and very satisfying. To finish, we tried the green tea mochi for dessert. But anyway, let's talk about their Ramen selection. They have all the popular Ramen staples, and quite a few appetizers and entrées. But their Ramen is what you should stick with. Always made with love and always incredibly tasty, this establishment's truly shines through its Ramen soups. Believe me, you will not be disappointed with any of the Ramen noodle soup selections. They're all fantastic! But with all that said, I have to mention that there is always one thing that seems to trouble me after dining at this restaurant. And that is the cost! It seems to me that a bowl of Ramen shouldn't cost so much! I'll give you an example, one order of shumai as an appetizer, one order of spicy miso Ramen, and one lychee seltzer shouldn't be $30.00 plus tip! At a cost of literally $36.00 every time I leave this restaurant I say that I won't return but Ramen is one of my guilty pleasures in life. Recently tried this place for the first time and really glad we did. Not a ton of ramen places in the area, especially good ones so this is a very welcomed find. We came in on a Friday night and it was empty at first but did fill up and they did quite a few take out orders while we were there. The waitress was super friendly and the kitchen staff who ran plates was also very efficient. We started with the popcorn chicken and the takoyaki. The presentation on the takoyaki was really nice, very elevated plating. The flavors of the popcorn chicken were on point. It was served with a spicy mayo dipping sauce. For the ramen we both for the Momoya Ramen. I was expecting the broth to be a little darker in color but the flavor and depth were there. The pork was tender and the toppings all complimented the broth perfectly. We will definitely be back as the weather cools down! read more

What an amazing find for ramen! The decor is warm and comforting with a few tables. The food blew us away. We started with spicy edamame's, pork chashu buns, chicken katsu buns as our appetizer. Very good and fresh. Onto the ramen soups. We ordered the Momoyan Ramen with Kimchi, Chashu Ramen and Spicy Miso Ramen with soft eggs. Ventured here with my 14 yo daughter for dinner on a crisp winter evening and were seated quickly, arriving around 6:30. Be sure to go to 390 Broad Street as they relocated. We sat in the back in one of the semi-isolated tables of 4, with one side sectioned off by a foldable screen, loving the ambience. The menu was detailed with pictures, perfect for those who have never been there before. Drinks were served after confirming water, green tea and a mango boba. The green tea was good but only warm, not hot. She didn't like the mango boba so much as it was made with dairy so that slid across the table to me while she traded it for my water. I thought her drink was yummy but she prefers the non dairy version of boba drinks so I guess be sure to ask first how it's prepared before ordering. My daughter ordered gyozas and a California roll, while I was recommended the signature Momoya Ramen. She said the gyozas were delicious compared to other places we've been. Now the ramen was extraordinary. The appearance was mouth watering, satisfied by the amazing broth which I almost finished before even mixing the contents. Even my daughter took a chunk of the ramen on her side plate. The restaurant picked up after that, I say we were probably served at 7 but she didn't come by again u til about 720 to check on us. We ordered more water, tea, which was served hot this time, and another California roll. It took about 20 minutes but we didn't mind because we enjoyed our semi private seating and our conversation. It's a perfect place for a date who loves sushi or ramen. Everything we ate was made to order, extremely fresh. There is a front and back entrance and the women's bathroom had 2 stalls and was clean. The back entrance leads to a parking lot if you are unable to secure street parking which is apparently complimentary in Bloomfield during the holiday season. I took home half the soup because I couldn't finish it but would definitely recommend trying it and would't hesitate to order it again but I usually like to try other things on the menu to see what else is good. We live 40 min away so we'd definitely revisit if we're ever back in the area. read more

Very good solid ramen. My friends and I all ordered different types of ramen and enjoyed them very much. I found the texture of the noodles to be perfect. The broth was rich and delicious. I had the seafood ramen with chicken broth. The seafood was grilled before being put on the ramen, which gave it a tasty char that I liked a lot. The thai bubble tea was a bit milk forward but okay. The boba were the perfect texture. The crispy calamari was a bit heavy on the breading but still good. Definitely crispy. Service was quick, friendly and accommodating. To start the service is good we got our order taken quick and our food came out quick. My issue arises from the prices. I definitely did not receive bang for my buck the calamari was 7 dollars for 8 pieces of overcooked calamari and same for the scallion pancakes. I order a boba for 5.50 and it wasn't even filled to the top and they forgot to put the boba in. I had to go back up to the front to get it. The ramen was the better part of the meal, the noodles were good and the pork and broth had good flavor but they definitely have some stuff to work on especially quantity wise the calamari could have had a bit more on the plate.
