Bright lighting inside and it obviously received a fresh makeover from the 7 Eleven store. One thing I really liked was they had a restroom for customer use (and it was fairly clean). All too often, 7 Elevens don't allow customers to use their facilities. If you're on the road often, it definitely makes for an inconvenience when that happens. There's a BP Gas Station connected to it with plenty of available pumps. Prices were on par with other stations in the area.

The coffee is hot and fresh and on par with 7-11. The prices are a little higher than other stores. I bought a large coffee and a muffin and it was over 8 dollars. I should have checked my receipt, but I was in a rush. Definitely look closely at the prices. The staff seem friendly and it appears to be family owned and managed.

The staff are literally useless when it comes to any and everything…read more I am able to compare them to other locations because I've had success, understanding and great customer service elsewhere. It's almost as if they aren't equipped to handle clientele or conflict but somehow other locations are. On more than one occasion, I have left there confused, gone somewhere else and got answers. I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, which is why I've been back (it's also more convenient for me) but I just can't anymore. It such a shame this this kind of treatment is sustained in this neighborhood.

I saw a sign on the warming oven that advertised fresh baked beef empanadas, and the little girl inside of me that grew up in the Bronx eating the best empanadas my change could buy from the store on the corner of E. Tremont and University Ave wanted one in the worst way! One of the guys came over and told me about CORE water, showed me the current deals and told me that CORE is really good so I grabbed two bottles (after all who doesn't like a good sale) and rushed over to get some empanadas! The young guy behind the counter was unsure which one was the empanada so I showed him the lightly colored one with the sign. He bagged some up for me, I paid for them and headed to the parkway, buy my childhood joy was short live when I pulled out this yellowish colored pastry and realize that I was given a beef patty! And to make matters worse it was so bad that I couldn't even eat it; it was cold, doughy and poorly season! I doubled back to 7-11 to return the beef patty tell them about the empanadas-beef patty swap. They insisted that the yellow beef patty was their version of a beef empanada! I was in total disagreement, they apologized and offered to refund my money! I got my refund and left reminiscing on what could have been a wonderful childhood memory. I'm still in search of good empanadas in NY and NC!

That's right 3 jobs,and still managed to smile,and keep his cool with the insults and quick tempered customers. I soon found out that,all the employees worked two or three jobs. So next time you are in a 7/11 and you say to yourself why in the world is this person going so slow. He is tired!!! Give them a chance.
