I'm a big fan of the matcha as Jorge makes it perfect for my taste. One of my favorite moments was when I asked him what he had for drinks, and he told me that he'll make me anything I want as long as he has the ingredients! Truly so accommodating and such a pleasant experience! Overall, this is a super cute, small local cafe that I highly recommend supporting. Any proper Portuguese bakery must make fresh loaves of sweet bread. Yes, this bakery has the requisite homemade sweet bread (a note: growing up in Rhode Island, where there is a substantial Portuguese population, I had Portuguese sweet bread all the time--try it for French toast--but I have not yet tried Stoughton bakery's). And it has delicious custard tarts, and egg tarts, too. And they have Portuguese fried dough (it has a name in Portuguese, which I can't remember!) which is chewy and sugary, and has a gentle hint of lemon. Yum. It's on a side street very near the Stoughton MBTA station. It's a small and very clean place, with somewhat limited offerings, but everything I have had is the real deal. The woman who works there is a kind and gentle sort, and the prices are super affordable. I will note that it may be around a 3.5, but I rounded it up to 4 stars, as I was very happy to find this!

If they don't have it here, then it just doesn't exist! They also have your typical coffee shop breakfast items; donuts, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, etc. I ordered a cold "almond joey" coffee, a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich on an onion bagel and a chocolate chip muffin. The coffee tastes exactly what it sounds like - almond joy candy, which is one of my favorites! It was very sweet but very good even though I'm usually not a "sweets" kind of person. The first thing I noticed about my breakfast sandwich is how heavy it was when I grabbed it out of the bag. They did not skimp on sandwich toppings and the cheese was melted to gooey-perfection. My chocolate chip muffin also had probably the most chocolate chips I've ever seen in a muffin!! No skimping here either. I live close by to this spot and I'm mad at myself for not checking it out sooner! Not only is the old school diner vibe here really cool, it will also satisfy your sweet tooth craving!
