To start I really want to like this place. Everytime I come here there's no sandwiches on the to go rack. So I asked an employee if they could make a sandwich on the spot, she said they only do that on Saturdays. I went the next day on a Saturday to get a cranberry chicken sandwich, the worker told me since they were under staffed they don't make sandwiches on the spot. Meanwhile multiple employees are sitting in the back kicking around dust. Poor work ethic from that store they can definitely do better. read more

They have great cakes and pastries. we got some food to take home for the first time and we enjoyed it. My only complaint was that I got a carrot cake and it had no nuts or raisins. it has to have one of those to be a carrot cake in my book. Mixed feelings about Whites- Upsides: they make high quality baked goods, presentation is wonderful and the shop itself is clean and beautiful. Staff has always been polite and helpful. They have a variety of ready made meals, coffee and cold drinks, and more. Downside: ordering a cake/pie in advance makes it a "custom order" even if you don't customize it at all. For example, a whole cheesecake in the bakery case could be purchased for $35, but if you order that same cheesecake to be picked up later, it seems like you'll pay another $20. The 12" cake I ordered rang up at $99, significantly more than any cake in the cases. Conclusion: it's a great spot to stop in and sit for a meal or a treat. A friend usually brings a Danish ring buy for our weekly coffee klatsch, so I'm pretty familiar with White's bakery products. I've also consumed many a strawberry cream cake back in the day. But after a nearby round of golf with friends, we needed something more substantial without wanting to kill time at a restaurant. We ventured to White's prepared foods section. My friends opted for arancini while the autumn roasted sweet potato & sausage galette caught my eye, in spite of the $9.99 price tag. Friends loved the diced ham in their rice balls. My galette had buttery, rich pastry surrounding a very Thanksgiving-ish flavor profile of sweet potatoes, sage, butternut squash & sausage. It was tasty, but perhaps not for the price. Some side dishes caught my eye and I bought a medium tub of BLT orecchiette pasta salad and a small tub of Brussels-Granny Smith slaw. My addiction to food set me back $39. I could have gone to a full service restaurant! The flavor of the BLT pasta was spectacular, but it was way too heavily dressed in poppyseed dressing. After a few forkfuls, I couldn't continue. The slaw was delicious and my only suggestion is to chop the apples for easy chewing and improved mouthfeel. The young ladies working the counter were friendly, helpful, and attentive. It pretty buys here, but the whole process was fast and smooth. Everything is on display with the names and prices on them. I got the Oreo Cheesecake, Fruit Tart and Mini Pistachio Cannoli. Everything was delicious. The Fruit Tart crust was a bit harder then I want it be. It's a bit pricey at $7 for the Cheesecake and Fruit Tart. The mini Cannoli was like $2. The quality was decent. I finally visited this bakery after hearing about it for quite some time. I don't live close by but it is worth the trip! I purchased various items starting with a dozen cupcakes which were fresh and delicious. I also purchased a bag of butter rolls (best rolls ever!) and a loaf of bread. The breads are also so fresh and delicious. I have already called to see if I can place An order ahead of time for my next visit where I can't be there first thing in the morning for the breads - I can't wait. Also wanted to add they have a great selection of sandwiches and Lunch entrees. They have an area where you can sit and have a coffee and bakery item or Lunch which I thought was nice. My experience was very positive and the girls that were working the counters were super friendly and helpful. The employee I spoke to when I called for ordering was also excellent. We have been getting pastries and cakes here for years. Its a very good bakery when bakeries like this are few and far between. For everyday deserts Roche Bros has a nice selection of treats at decent prices. But for birthdays and other occasions we usually call Whites ahead of time and have something cool created. Today however I just walked in and got a Halloween themed white cake and had Happy Birthday added on and we had it with Hagan Daz chocolate ice cream. Lotta sugar but special occasion! Very fresh, moist and delicious. At $35 for the cake plus tip for the writing it's expensive but how many birthdays do you have in a year. In the past we also have gotten cheesecake, cannoli's, cookies, half-moons and more. Everything is always really tasty and fresh. It would be hard to be disappointed in my opinion with anything here. Note- I hate reading some of the 1star comments where some folks felt uncomfortable. I have never witnessed any rudeness or insensitivity. I hope it's just simple misunderstanding. We purchased a chocolate cake with "alleged" butter creme frosting on Friday, April 4 for $57.00 for a birthday party. The sales associate stated it was "delicious." When unboxed on the identical evening, the cake was stale, tasteless, and the frosting was aweful. We wrote an email to White's which elicted no response. Stay away from White's Bakery! read more

The best bakery in the area!! My entire family are Whites Bakery addicts.... I don't think I have been to a single family party or holiday that didn't have at least 1 White's Bakery dessert! You can't go wrong with anything there - the cannolis, cakes, cookies, key lime tarts, and fruit tarts are to die for! The cafe section serves lunch on certain days with specific hours. The sandwiches are fresh, and the pre-made foods (including buffalo chicken calzones and fried risotto balls!) are equally delicious. I did not get the name of the person that answered the phone but she was super jolly and pleasant and said they have plenty of cakes available. I was super pleased as this bakery is only 10 mins from my place and I've yet to try it. I picked up the Oreo cake and half a dozen slices and cupcakes. I bought a gluten free cake for my wife's birthday and it was awful. Tasted dry and stale. Almost like it was made days before and left in the fridge.
