I feel the need to submit this review because on Thursday, 31 August 2017, when Dallas-Fort Worth had a severe run on gas stations due to social media hype regarding Hurricane Harvey. Many gas stations ran out of gas because this supply could not handle the overwhelming demand. Sadly, there were gas stations which increased their prices to absurd amounts, some ranging from $6 - $10 per gallon. Others raised their prices with the more acceptable 25 - 50 cents per gallon. However, Mr. Rick Gillani, owner and manager of Pioneer Grocery which sells Shell gasoline, would have no part of this unethical nonsense. He kept his gas prices at the same price before the run on gas had begun and unlike nearby gas stations located just a few blocks away from his who raised their prices. I have been a patron of Pioneer Grocery for years. It is close to NAS JRB Fort Worth, the military base that military member such as I proudly call our home station. Mr. Gilliani is a Pakistan immigrant who obtained U.S. citizenship. He has children who are proud American citizens. During this hectic time of the gas rush, Rick had all of his employees and family members working to alleviate the long lines at his service station. He vowed he would not turn any customer away until all of his gas had been sold. Furthermore, he personally oversaw effective traffic management of all of the vehicles coming and exiting from his gas station. People were calm and patient because Mr. Gillani and his employees were courteous, professional and kept everything under control. I had the opportunity to tap off my gas tank thanks to Rick. It was during this time that I informed him I was military and had been coming to his service station/store for many years, primarily because of the friendliness and great prices. Rick had actually recognized my car and thanked me for my military service. I informed him I was very pleased to see the kindness and highly ethical manner in which Rick and his Pioneer Grocery employees exhibited. I also took several pictures of his store, including the marquee which clearly listed his $2.59 price for gas---a price he fully honored until all of his gas was sold. Hurricane Harvey has brought out the very best in our country. Unfortunately, it has also identified those who can easily be called the very worst as well. Overwhelmingly, Americans has responded in kind, ethical, and correct actions. But for the few who has attempted to take advantage of those in need, shame on them!!! Persons like Rick Gillani and his Pioneer Grocery store should be commended for doing what was RIGHT, despite others yielding to the temptation to exploit. It is for this reason that I proudly submit this 5-STAR RATING for Mr. Rick Gillani and PIONEER GROCERY. He and his outstanding family and employees deserve to be recognized. It is run by Weelai and several other talented ladies. I am so impressed with Weelai's ability to create such beautiful arrangements and usually just by explaining what I need. She get a vision of your needs and creates a beautiful work of art. I have taken my own vase and have purchased some of theirs. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. The only reason I would use anyone else is if it had to go to another city. If you need flowers for a wedding, a tea, a shower, a friend... go see Weelai! These are some photos of the things she has done for me. She also has a really great variety of plants on hand. Many I can't find in other places! I really enjoy collecting a wide variety of plants that she carries and all have been healthy and thrive very well.

I shared with the person who helped me that I was a veteran, and she told me about the 3 options (strawberry, vanilla, blueberry....I see what you did there) I chose vanilla because it had slim in the name. I only had to wait a few minutes for my drink and because I was a veteran, they gave me a little extra. My drink was really tasty and the store is cute. It has a few tables and seats in case you want to hang out inside. I will definitely be back before the next Veterans day!

I came to the store to report a fuel issue, expecting basic help. Instead, I was met with rude behavior, blatant disrespect, and complete disregard for customer safety. The manager on duty, Tommy, was aggressive and confrontational from the start. When I decided to leave, thinking the situation was escalating unnecessarily, it got even worse. Tommy followed me and my child as we left the premises -- all the way out of the parking lot. He began taking photos of my vehicle, creating a hostile and threatening situation that put us in real fear for our safety. His behavior was predatory, completely out of control, and felt personal and prejudiced. The co-manager, West, was present and not only failed to intervene but seemed to condone Tommy's aggressive behavior. When I asked for corporate contact or the regional manager, I was told nothing and treated as if I didn't matter. There were no apologies, no de-escalation, and no professionalism. Just intimidation. As a parent, this was a frightening ordeal -- my child was in the car, and we were just trying to leave safely. This wasn't a misunderstanding. This was harassment and abuse of authority. RaceTrac must take full accountability: Tommy needs to be immediately fired. West should be investigated and disciplined for negligence. A full corporate investigation must be conducted at this location. Formal apology issued to me and my family. If this isn't addressed appropriately, I will be taking further legal action and escalating this through media and regulatory agencies. This is a public safety issue now.

This Spec's continues to be the selectively rudest location I have ever shopped at. They might greet the person before or after me, but I consistently receive no eye contact while cashiers hold their own conversation while checking me out. At the end of my transaction today, a cashier with the first initial B looked down at her phone and said something about "I have to take care of this", and only realized she was still dealing with a customer when I looked directly at her, smiled, and said thank you, which she did return. The only reason I come here is because it's convenient. If I'm not in a hurry, I will go out of my way to shop for spirits *anywhere* else.

Selection was a bit more limited. This one didn't have any BT items, tho I had anticipated that based on the demographic that is in this area as well as how busy this shopping are is as well. This close to the highway on a main drag that carries 1000's of commuters each day, I'd have expected to see a larger store here. It's still very clean inside. Access is on the frontage road from the northbound side, so going southbound requires exiting and doing a u-turn. Not a bad spot, great location, tho size is seems to be limiting what they carry.
