Not in FL where you buy one and it's full price. Buggies are left willy-nilly in the parking lot. People are too lazy to wheel them to designated areas where they won't conceivably damage parked cars. While the store can't do anything about that, they CAN send staff out regularly to collect runaway buggies. (They do it in GA!)

Then we made the mistake of going to the service desk where they have multiple cashiers but only one designated for "lottery". We had the misfortune of getting behind someone who literally put money on every game in every combination possible, multiple times . The line got super backed up and one person actually got out of line because of the wait. Call me crazy but if I was this invested , I'd be in Vegas not in Publix... Maybe they need a second line for high roller lottery players and delusional people like me that spend 10.00 and are happy to win 2.00.

After getting everything packed, driving out there, and setting everything up, we discovered the umbrella had clearly been used and was so badly damaged that it literally fell apart when we opened it. We couldn't even use it. Extremely frustrating when you buy something specifically because you need it that day. When I returned it, I wasn't upset about the $40. My concern was how an item in that condition ended up back on the shelf for another customer to purchase. I tried explaining this to a manager/"Coach" named James. Instead of listening to my concern, he became defensive, repeatedly interrupted me, and spoke to me in a condescending manner. When I referred to Walmart as "y'all," he immediately responded, "We didn't do that. We didn't put that back on the shelf," as though I was personally accusing him. What really surprised me was another employee telling me, "We do not check the products when they're returned. We just trust the customer." If that's actually the procedure, that's concerning. I doubt anyone is putting a returned PS5 straight back on the shelf without checking it first. Why should a customer buying a $40 item deserve any less consideration? The defective umbrella was frustrating, especially because it affected our beach plans. But the dismissive attitude from James when I raised a legitimate concern is what really turned this into a bad customer-service experience.

She offered to take the things to the car as they were somewhat heavy. I, a senior citizen, would have had to make two trips. What she didn't know was that I had sustained a compression fracture of the spine at T-10 &11 which limited my ability to carry things and was still painful. I couldn't believe her willingness to do that for me. Lara went over and above the call of duty for a stranger. It truly was deeply appreciated. I imagine that's why it doesn't always get restocked in the gas pumps. Another reason for no receipts , is to boost traffic in the convenience store there. I don't have time for going in and getting in line for a receipt in the hopes of management getting me to buy a Bear Claw while I'm there. I told an employee who was on another job near the pumps, but it didn't change the practice (or should I say lack of practice?)
