She kindly helped every interested customer learn to use the app and skip the line! Spacious area, cool a/c, lots of stock, easy browsing. I did use the app, but also went back into line because there are a few things without upc codes, such as my hot char siu bao! So for those items, sorry, you'll need to stay in line;)! There are upc codes to scan for things like coffee, though, so check it out when you're in a rush! LOVE 7-11. LOVE this location because it was walking distance to where I was staying. LOVE their spam musubi. Filling and inexpensive. Great for a mini lunch to go. Multiple choices to choose from. Different prices, but generally inexpensive. I'm talking about $2!! LOVE the different flavored slushies!! Can't find these Hawaiian flavors in CA. Don't feel like eating spam musubi? Multiple other food choices located in the refrigerator section. Prices also inexpensive. I'm talking about $5-6!! Several free parking spots in front of the store vs free street parking. Hey Yelpers. Cletus here, absolutely mortified, unknowing if I will ever fully recover from this incident. Last night, I took a trip over to 7/11 to grab a quick snack. My appetite was immediately lost as I exit my vehicle, landing right into a pile of human regurgitation. You can imagine my horror at my foot landing into the mushy biohazard, the foul rotten stench, and at the substance that covered my shoes, socks, and pants. It was almost rare to find a piece of clothing of mine that did not have vomit on it. The regurgitated substance consisted of fully in-tact beans. The perpetrator did not chew. The smell was truly unlike anything I've come across, a nasty shameful concoction. Only a freak could create such a gut-churning, revolting, nauseating, monstrous, heinous upchuck. Whoever did this, you should be ashamed of yourself, you are SICK! I advise my fellow community members to stay far, far away from this location until the facility is torn down or until fires ablaze. Plenty of natural lighting came through the many large windows while many electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I couldn't recall any TVs, but Top-40 music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL 7-11 Hawai'i's Hawaii Kai location satisfied what I needed and would continue to stop in at this particular store especially due to proximity. Oddly enough, I didn't buy any Slurpees and their tropical flavors - next time! This was truly a one-stop quick shop with many well-known brands, comparable prices, and casual friendly customer service. Plus, they had some wonderful Hawai'i and Asian grab-and-go food that sold out quickly, so get there early! The only thing that irked me was that the reloadable bus fare card had to be purchased with cash only, so that was $17.00 worth of no rewards points! I like to stop by this particular 7-Eleven store in Hawaii Kai when I'm working in the area because if I'm thirsty or hungry.............. garans I gonna stop by a 7-Eleven for my all time favorite Garlic Chicken Musubi, & a bottle of H2O! Parking here is easy, as the parking lot is pretty spacious, but the parking stalls are shared with another business who is next door (Boston's North End Pizza). Whether you're here for gas, drinks, or food, you really can't go wrong with this 7-Eleven as the store is clean & well stocked. This is an update of my previous review. I posted two new photos comparing Spicy tuna hand rolls with nearby Hana Sushi. As you can see in the picture the 7-11 is $1.65 and Hana is $4.50. You can also see in the second picture that the 7-11 roll is much bigger and it was more dense. A new addition is the jalapeno pork hash which is excellent. They have some in the heater near the check out but if none there, then ask the cashier and they usually have some in the back that you can take home and heat up. read more

Went into the Hawaii Kai 7-Eleven about 11pm this evening. Bought 2 spam musubi. The guy that rang us up didn't get his name but his name tag said store manager. Get home the rice on the bottom of the musubi is hard and dried out. Stamp on the bottom says 15:30, those have been in there from 3:30pm or should have been thrown out at 3:30. Don't know there system. Anyway obviously not checking and rotating the food. What a bad example for his employees. What a waste of time and money. Disappointed. Also tried calling twice to spare other people but don't answer the phone. Cannot imagine very many people in the store at this hour. We were the only people in there when we went. read more

This review is purely for this location because we frequent them so often. But every time we come we have a pleasant experience! I'd say that the availability of food and quality of their products is great but nothing particular to this location. 7-eleven, in general, has really upped their food recipes and product varieties. The workers here are always very nice and pleasant. They handle the crowds as best as they can and are quick and efficient. I really do like this location as I never had a bad experience. I'd say the only thing is that it can get busy randomly and the parking can get tight. But just be patient and people are going in and out, so you're likely to find a stall within minutes. read more

I went in today, Fri Apr 28, and purchased this special. I got overcharged. I brought it up with the person ringing me up. She referred me to the manager on duty. Even after I explained the overcharge, she refused to refund me and told me to call the number on the receipt 808-944-2711. They also did not offer to refund me for the overcharge OR to fix their register so these overcharges don't keep happening! I took my time to try to resolve this and instead am directed back to to your store manager that clearly could care less. read more

Mold spots throughout, mold on the top. Gross!!!When I took it back the cashier went to find a new one, even though I didn't say I wanted a new one! Why don't they call them 24-7's? Anyhoo, WOW, this 7-11 location is the bomb! Customer service is always great, and speedy. They try hard at the register, and stocking is always happening! Hard to keep a steady crew at night, but the older ladies get the job done during the day. So many fresh, quality food choices if you are in a hurry or don't want to break your wallet. What I believe to be a manager, was yelling and degrading one of his employees. As wrong and unprofessional as that was in itself, he did so in front of several customers, and loud enough for all to hear. I have never experienced such a disrespectful environment in a public store or restaurant. Update #4: Another bad experience, came here out if desperation on Fathers day around 6pm for Ice. The freezer is empty so I go to the cashier and ask, are you guys out of ice? The cashier nbn who I believe his name was Patrick the same guy who refused my refund of the expired protein bar, says, "I don't know, are we?" How da hell should I know if your out if ice I don't work here! He then says "if it's not back there, were out". Thanks for nothing, I appreciate your attitude and laziness to help customers. He cant even smile or have a happy attitude he just seems like he doesn't want to be there everytime I go in there and hes working. He always looks like someone pooped in his cheerios that morning. Went to this location last night looking for something to eat, preferably hot. The hot box near the registers, were either almost empty or the food looked like it's been there since early morning. I walked further in and the cold shelf was kinda bare and didn't look appealing. Their floor looked like someone spilled something and wasn't wiped up and was sticky. The counters and the handles for the hot box were sticky as well. Wtf!!! The only thing I bought was a Mountain Dew drink. Ended up going to foodland instead and it was the better choice. I'm disappointed because i go to 7-eleven at there various locations in the downtown area and it didn't look like dirty, really clean but Hawaii Kai i was expecting clean and Prestige. When I come back to the store for refund it, one of cashers named Zavier just said that "OK I will refund it" did not even say Sorry. After I complained, he said sorry but also said "I did not make it". What a fantastic customer service. read more

The skinny guy that wears a gator sleeve instead of a mask and looks like he washes his hair with Crisco is by far the worse person to ever stand behind a 711 counter that I have ever had the mispleasure of being served by. He doesn't say anything, he acts like your putting him out and drops your change in your hand like he was feeding chickens, without even "Thank you". If my wife and daughter wasn't with me, he and I would have had words. He needs to be fired. I would have given them 1 star but the younger Asian man working the other register was very polite and the store has a good variety of products. So many 7-elevens feel kinda sketchy. This one bucks the trend. It is clean, well stocked, and the staff are always pleasant and efficient. This location is a block away from Hahaione Elementary. So if you're looking for any musubis before 8 am on a day that the school has an excursion, good luck! This location was renovated last month and now carries a line of 7-eleven premium Japanese snacks. So far I've tried two different ones and they're excellent. I come here regularly to fill up gas. I rarely go into the store, well the other day I needed to run in to pick up a few items and I was actually surprised that the clerks were so friendly. I usually go to a 7-Eleven and the clerks are ok - they are there to ring you up and keep the stor organized, but usually don't have a tremendous amount of energy. Of course, the job can't be terribly exciting - but you know the gentleman behind the counter at this 7-eleven is always asking how your day went, if you were watching the lastest UH game. I'm a great admirer of the consistent crew and quality of my home base 7/11. The staff are always friendly and are focused on the work they do to keep this 24 hour operation going. This is not a knock against 7/11, but I always get carded here. I'm clearly middle aged with lots of gray in my beard. There was a time when this was not the case here - they must have gotten knocked by the Liquor Commission a few years back. They usually have a well-stocked hot food area and some of the cold case items are updated from time to time which is cool. I like that they have some Japanese snacks on offer due to Hawaii 7/11s being owned by the Japanese 7&i holdings company. 7/11 Japan rocks! Recently Hele has taken over the gas portion from Aloha. No noticeable difference there. All told, this 7/11 being next to Boston Pizza is a well-traveled stop for our family. read more

The gas station never has a line, the gas is also cheaper here for some reason. I like the food they serve, the musubi, manapua and sushi seems fresher here than at other locations. Pretty much so far all the 7 eleven we have gone to, especially in Japan, are good. They are bringing in more and more popular Japan snacks and the variety of food to choose from is great at a reasonable price. I wish they had 7 eleven stores in Waikiki serving icee/slurpees and froyo ice cream treats. Once someone figures out the secret to selling quality food at the lowest price making profits by high quantity sold, will make a lot of money in Waikiki. Everything too expensive. They renovated the store recently. It is now considered a "Neighborhood Store." Meaning the store is meant to serve the Hawaii Kai neighborhood. Esp. the Hahaione Valley. They have hot foods, great service and selection of food and drinks. Very few stores can match what they have. I'll probably go back there the next time I go to Hawaii Kai. read more

I must say it's rare when I am truly impressed after having an initial unfortunate experience with a business. No one really likes the new law on banning plastic bags, least of all stores who deal with new problems, or customers who's drinks they have purchased bust through the thin paper bag due to condensation, and fall on the ground, exploding (all over their work dress clothes!) it's just silly to package refrigerated drinks in a paper sack, and not expect disaster. Yet for the longest time, 7-elevens across the island would do just that. After the fifth time this has happened to me, and doing a quick mental estimate of how much money I had lost from exploding rockstar drinks, I had had enough. I put the four punctured, spraying energy drinks in a plastic white garbage bag land took them back after work. Initially they on duty cashiers (no manage was in then) refused to refund or return my money. I was really disappointed, so left the bag of exploded drinks with the cashier and left my contact info for the manager to get in touch with me. He did the next day, and apologized sincerely. The most impressive thing for me was not that he replaced them, that's standard. It's that he did something about it. He started carrying recycled plastic bags for drinks. Wow. When I saw that it almost put a tear in my eye at how much he listens to and values his customers feedback. Remarkable customer service. I am touched. This is the best 7-eleven I have been to. if only all the other 7-eleven managers has as wonderful regard for their customers. if you have a choice of establishments to patronize, or gas to buy, I wholeheartedly recommend this fine establishment, with a caring manager who has really high integrity. When I first searched for 7-11, I didn't think there would be any reviews on this place. Well, I was wrong and here we go. While I was waiting for my pizza at Boston's (right next door) I walked over to 7-11 to see if they had the f'real shakes that everyone keeps talking about. NO they do not have it. What they do have is a big selection Japanese Snacks exclusive to 7-11. Gem bought a bunch because she's obsessed with 1. snacks 2. Japanese snacks. The snacks were really cheap so it was hard to not get them all. (Thank god we didn't!). I highly suggest getting the cheese rings. It wasn't too cheesy and didn't leave fake cheese stains on your fingertips. I still think it's weird to have chocolate flavored chips but that's my opinion. On top of having this Japanese snack shrine, they also have a good selection of slurpees. Do not, and I seriously stress to you, do not get the sugar free pina colada. Don't ask why I tried it and I can't even describe what it tastes like. Disgusting sums it up.
