The cashier on duty was super friendly and I'd go back. The gas price was pretty high (with the location, I guess I cannot blame them) and the station was pretty small, but it was perfect for what I used it for.

I stopped in on my lunch break to get gas, and on a whim decided to do the "ten cents off a gallon…read moreif you get a car wash" thing. I know, not really a savings, but I decided why not. Until I have to go in to get the receipt. The woman was super nice, with another customer but greeted me right away and printed it out. Back at the car I can't find the wash code, so back in I go...fully admitting that I am dead-on-my feet tired, and nope, no code. The pump has a glitch, didn't put the code. Turns out I got the gas discount, but was not charged for the car wash. So, no harm, no foul. UNTIL...she reached over, punched a card for me "for all my inconvenience" and gave me a free premium wash for next time. (Why not now?) Oh well, she went way above and beyond. Then process your order manually with attitude. Managers need to watch their tapes and fix their employee issue. I left nozzle on ground since pump transaction would not go thru.

If I had known what was going on I might have waited to update, but alas.... My fellow Yelper Maureen was spot on about this place; and even convinced me to give it another try. All I wanted was a fill up and a car wash. I waited too long to choose which wash from the pump so I had to go in to purchase it. Lovely! Everything is bright and nice again, clean, well merchandised. The Subway, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Dounts are still here too, I was glad to see. The employee who rang up my wash was extremely friendly and helpful. She issued me one of those Speedy reward cards and told me that I have 4 washes to go until I get a free one. Cool! And the car wash is back up to par. Yessssssss! I'm so glad I like this place again. I missed it!

I think that this used to be the Burr Ridge Shell Station, I used to work there for Sharon Potter…read moreback in the 1990's. Now don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with the place, it's clean, well stocked, and the food items are rotated and up to date. But this place had an atmosphere and ambiance to it that was wonderful!! Today, it looks like a stall in a Middle Eastern marketplace, the booths that you could eat in are long gone, and it is today run by two Turks who can hardly speak English, and they want you in and out, not any sort of a place that you could sit down to relax with a cup of coffee. I really get a sad feeling of Nostalgia when I pass it. It's just a place to get gas now...
