I visited miami 30 days ago. I stayed the for a whole month and got the chance to visit Mayors Cafe…read more3 times during my stay. I used to live down the street and would come here at least once a week , other days I would only stop by on my way to work for my favorite Cafe con Leche. There's something about your cafe con leche that makes me fall in love with it every single time. I moved to California where I'm originally from but everytime I have a chance to get on a flight my destination is Miami, this last time I came my sister which she also loved the cafe con leche... now we both GOT To make it to mayors cafe everytime we go Miami. I mean all the food is great, good portions and flavor , service is good, we get everything we need on time every time and the restaurant is small but cute and clean, I love the quotes they write on the small white board too.... I will be back very soon! Thank you!

This was my first visit, and we tried a few of their dishes, and they were all decent. To start, I had their Cappuccino, which was delicious and straightforward. I had the Mayor's Skillet Breakfast. It was decent, but it felt like it was missing a sauce or aioli. The skillet was very dry and lacked seasoning. I also tried their French Toast, which was perfectly cooked and fluffy. My sister had the 2-2-2, a classic eggs, bacon, and pancake breakfast, and my brother had The Cid, one of their sandwich. He said it was good, but lacked seasoning. Overall, Mayor's Cafe was decent. The food was okay, but it lacked seasoning in my opinion. If I visit again, I will try different dishes to see if that can change my opinion.

We decided to give it another chance today since we were interested in purchasing meat, but it was even worse. There was a bowl of artichokes sitting right next to the meat that was visibly moldy. That's a serious cleanliness and food safety issue. Definitely not a place I'd feel comfortable buying food from.

I asked the attendant at the fronr what type of restaurant was it. She told me that it was typically Argentenean, i know rgat they are famous for their meats and I dont like eatibg meat in restaurants bc of how it is cooked so I asked for a tuna sandwich with french fries to play it safe. My husband had the lasagna. My sandwuxh was good, no compkaints about that but, my ordwr of fries were brown and soggy. They looked as though they were fried in old oil that had been used over and over. The couple behind me were comokaining that there steaks were not cooked to their liking and complained to the manager, who after a discussion with the couple went as far as to say they needed to learn cooking tetmuminology. Well we my husband also mentioned to the owner about cooking in old oil. U had a desert that was told it was a mousse. It was hard, definuteky wasnt mousse tasted more likw an old parfait. Just glad I didbt eat meat.
