Apparently I can't pay because the membership card is in my partner's name, nevermind that we are a single household and that we signed up together... She told me Costco isn't open to the public, kind of suggesting that I needed to leave the premises. I am very confused and try to explain, and she cuts me off to ask me if in another situation I would be able to "use his driver's license." Wow, I didn't realize this was such srs business (Also just all sass and no bark, you can certainly use someone else's driver's license situationally, for example for picking up a prescription...)! Go check this Chevron out because Kelsey has THE BEST customer service around! We had grabbed (Ok…read moreok it was me) some snacks and a fountain drink for the road. We watched Kelsey as she was handling the big bag of Funyuns. She was pushing down on the bag and she asked me "Do you want to grab another bag? This one has a hole in it." While I was grabbing the replacement bag, she explained to my partner that she handles bags of chips so much that she pretty much knows what they're supposed to feel like. Honestly, my mind wasn't registering what she was saying. I thought she was telling me to grab another bag of Funyuns because the one I chose has less Funyuns! Anyway...the fountain selection is your standard Pepsi products. Nice selection of adult beverages, juice, chocolate milk, OJ, sodas in the cooler. Over by the window, there's a separate selection of cold energy drinks if you're into that sorta thing. Variety of snacks, including world famous Alien Beef Jerky from Baker, CA! This is not a one-off issue--it's a repeated pattern. Why have a business if not willing to operate it? It's frustrating and inconvenient to rely on a business that doesn't follow its own posted schedule. At the very least, update your hours or post clear signage so customers aren't left guessing, because "Be back in 30 minutes" isn't always the said 30 minutes.
